讚1. 係中環又唔係做鬼佬泰菜既餐廳入面,呢間環境最好,舒服2. 菜式份旺大,冬蔭功足料,好好好多材料,沙律啲料切得好均勻,開胃彈1. 燈光會唔會暗左啲2. 上菜實在太慢,多客就話啫,坐左都無一半噃 繼續閱讀

I was really confused when I arrived at Mak Mak - it had an external kiosk with to-go items, a hostess behind a podium, but no restaurant. Had to circle around it twice. Turns out there’s a hidden automatic door camouflaged as a wall - smart.The interior design has a posh hole-in-the-wall vibe - pretty clever, considering it’s in the Landmark. It was pretty hot - maybe around 25 - should really crank up the AC. The servers seemed inexperienced - didn’t understand my requests.We got the crab omelette (I’m on keto), crab cakes, and vermicelli morning glory soup. All were pretty satisfying - the soup was sizable and a stand-alone meal in its own right. Reasonably priced 繼續閱讀

While there is nothing much to say about their mains, we were very happy with the mango salad and the Thai Milk Tea ice cream dessert.... especially the ice cream!It is topped with a sprinkling of fried shallots. Totally unnecessary but makes for an unexpected combo flavours. The ice cream is well made, smooth and not too sweet. May come back just for the ice cream! 繼續閱讀

約咗朋友係附近辦事,到咗食飯時間見到呢間店人唔多,有位坐就過來了,嗌咗冬陰功湯、蝦餅和炒河粉,最後加個芒果糯米飯做甜品,冬陰功湯酸酸辣辣的,小辣係可以接受的,裡面配料好多,湯既鮮味係十足的,炒河粉係寬河粉,配菜亦都係好多,主要係醬汁搭配得非常好食,個甜品就一般般吧,中規中矩咁。 繼續閱讀

Finally I got chance to have a try on Mak Mak @ Landmark. It is a pretty decent Thai restaurant good for hanging out (It's chill but peaceful!).Given that I was dinning-in alone, I only ordered Gaeng Phed Ped Yang (Red Curry Roasted Duck) with rice (Total HK$229 including 10% service charge).  Indeed I had a difficult time to choose since there were a couple of my favorite food in the menu. This curry didn't disappoint me because it is really different from the Thai curry I tried in other places nor the Indian curry. It got loads of spices and ingredients including eggplant, lotus seed (which is new to me that is found in the curry), tomatoes and so forth.  The curry is "gentle" and "comforting" my stomach. Unlike the roast duck dishes found in "siu mei", the roast duck in Mak Mak was shredded with rich of duck oil which is a great friend with rice and the curry. Last but not least, the rice is dried enough (not pulpy) and the best thing about it is "REFILL" that you can continue to enjoy the curry.This restaurant is "bookmarked" and I will try other dishes next time.
