除咗試咗佢個超值登陸米芝蓮套餐外,仲點咗個Tea Set,$120位,有越式香茅牛肉三文治、蒜香脆蝦生菜卷,跟住就係甜品4揀2,我哋要白酒火龍果啫喱伴石榴慕思、朱古力香蕉布甸伴刺番荔枝雪葩,依個餐包嘢飲,既然有得揀越南咖啡,就梗係要試吓佢啦!初時諗住收得$120一個tea set,就算食你唔飽,都應該頂得吓啦,況且又有越式三文治、又有生菜卷,但哩到覺得有D「賴嘢」。同個超值登陸米芝蓮套餐一樣,大賣精緻,用一樣嘅大白色方碟,將上述嘅食物放在一起,睇起哩真係擺得好靚,好有法國菜嘅美感,而個別食物嘅造型都好有心思,賣相方面真係俾足100分!食味?又係唔會令你有食緊越南嘢嘅感覺,一樣唔係D嘢唔好食,只係少咗食越南嘅味道,好似越式香茅牛肉三文治同蒜香脆蝦生菜卷,兩者都好好食,前者牛肉煎得柔軟,夾在生菜、洋蔥中,配合焗得微暖而脆身嘅薄法包,卡嚓一聲,應聲入口,哩個較有越南嘅味道就係源於那藏晌牛肉中嘅香茅味;而後者,同樣好食,蝦身煎得爽口,有朕朕蒜香,夾在新鮮嘅生菜卷中,一啖一啖索索聲,要數到有越南嘅味道就係個D醃咗嘅蘿蔔絲同米粉絲配料喇!不過,份量確實少咗D,唔夠喉!而兩個甜品其實都好正,白酒火龍果啫喱伴石榴慕思,下層係白酒啫喱,中間隔一層火龍果粒粒,面層輪到石榴慕思,其實好多時食自助餐都有見白酒啫喱,所以唔係咩特別嘢,但就鍾意面面嘅石榴慕思,富石榴香,慕思做得幼滑,咁就已經好夠!至於個朱古力香蕉布甸伴刺番荔枝雪葩則估佢唔到,個樣幾得意,朱古力香蕉布甸味道幾有層次,朱古力同香蕉味都平衡到,唔覺互相太搶,放晌側邊嘅刺番荔枝雪葩(個名無打錯,上網查番先知佢根本唔係荔枝哩),酸酸甜甜,幾醒神!最後嘆埋杯越南咖啡,第一次飲,有D手忙腳亂,因為要自己搞,要等佢慢慢滴漏,又唔知滴完之後掂,所以睇住隔離枱點做我就照跟住做,又幾香濃喎!不過,都係個句,唔會令你嘩一聲咁驚喜!

穿過熱鬧的自助餐地段, 步上隱敝的樓梯, 到了La soleil。侍者領我們到預訂的座位, 在裝飾著蓮花的小河邊, 燈光柔和, 襯著樓下傳來的60’s and 70’s,實在是與老友憶舊的好地方, 更別說那極高的、少說也有十來層的、直達琉璃天頂的高度, 讓不大寬敞的店面, 多了一分閒雅, 侍者行走其間也不覺侷促點了米芝蓮套餐, 因要駕車, 只好點啤酒吃食來了, 米紙卷最是清淡適口,春卷皮脆但餡太多,吃起來滿口皆肉, 有點太滿了,縱有魚露生菜也無補於事。烤大蝦是預期的鮮甜爽脆,但缺了大頭蝦的甘美蝦羔, 總是不完滿。烤魚整尾約有男士手掌大小, 烤得完完整整的, 挺神氣的, 先吃一口, 腥得緊, 肉質也不好, 也忙加上青檸和魚露, 是天堂和地獄。一邊想著來杯越南咖啡, 樓下傳來整晚風趣幽默會唱廣東歌的外藉歌者說, …dedicate to the King of Pop, Smile… 面對著生命的總總惡夢, 唯有笑著去擁抱它食物是好的, 侍者是有禮的, 價錢是十分合理的, 更無話可說的是環境和氣氛

要組織一個飯局,budget不多,最好又是在酒店,看似簡單,但原來並不易找。好一點的酒店自助餐都超出了budget,fine dining更加想也不用想。腦海突然出現帝苑酒店Le Soleil名字,見OR又有8折coupon,就建議來這裡。餐牌好像只有一個米芝蓮的二人套餐,當然不夠食,倒不如叫 a la carte好了。每人點一、兩個菜,咁樣應該大家都岩食。點菜後先來飲品,有些想要椰青,有些則要梳打,各有所好。好耐冇飲過椰青了,清甜解渴,又多肉,不錯。餐前小食是蝦片,香脆,微辣,很對辦,一陣就被大家掃光。黑豚肉米紙卷是這裡的招牌菜,亦是我的選擇。米紙的煙韌度剛好,但嫌豚肉份量太少,但點上鮮美的魚露都是好吃的;西貢春卷香脆熱辣,也不會太過油,餡料有爽口的蔬菜,又有鮮香的魚露,出色。始終剛炸出來的春卷,點都唔會難食的。牛肉生菜包更有驚喜,除了是配上有水準的魚露外,牛肉味很香很濃郁,再用爽脆的生菜包裹著,啖啖都是爽口味美。炸軟殼蟹就有點失準,還記得上次來吃的是香脆多膏,反觀是晚的軟殼蟹,雖然粉漿不多,卻不算特別香脆,又欠缺肥美的蟹膏,蟹肉甚至有點韌,還好的是加上了配菜中和油份,但總的說是達不

要照顧吃辣的朋友,點一份咖喱吧!牛和豬都已經叫了,不如來一客咖喱羊膝,相信會好味。的確,這份咖喱是充斥著咖喱和香草的香味,未吃已經滿足。吃下,除了羊膝肉嫩之外,更嚐出椰汁的香,幾惹味的,用法包配咖喱汁吃,更為滋味。

吃罷香濃的咖喱,跟住來的是味道清新的柚子海鮮沙律。柚子肉多,不會太酸,加上爽口既魷魚、鮮美彈牙的帶子,是既清新又醒胃的一道菜,我很喜歡。

椰子炒飯,有豐富的海鮮,和清新甜美的椰汁,可以接受;而全晚最出色的,就是最後來的炒龍豆。這種豆我第一次吃,原來味道是很鮮的,質感爽口,從不愛吃蔬菜瓜果的我亦吃了很多。

吃了八個菜,本人大致滿意。但大家似乎不太喜歡,餸菜還未上齊,大家已說要搞下場。

帝苑VIP卡有八五折,而OR的coupon是會八折,OR真厲害!不過,咁我申請張VIP卡有咩用呀? 始終覺得這promotion是有點不當。

米芝蓮二人套餐 $668

Appentiser: spring roll, banana flower chicken salad, beef roll, rice paper rolled with prawn and avacado. All are delicious. Agreed with other eaters that the 魚露 is very yummy.

Baked snapper in sea salt: it was highly recommended by the waitress and it cost over $200 if ordered seperately. This one is only a little bit smaller than the usual. the fish is very fresh. the fish meat is "smooth". very good.

Braised os-tail with toamto and herbs: it is unexpectedly large. had 4-5 pieces. the tomato sauce was very yummy. if there is rice, i think i can a whole bowl of rice. the ox-tail is very veyr tender. very yummy.

Soup noodle: we chose rosted pork with cold noodles instead of beef noodle soup because we would like to have mroe 魚露 . the pork is tender. very good too.

We had used the Openrice coupon to have a free appentiser: rice rolled with black pork. Again, it tasted very good. We also had a a free cream cake. May be because of the free cake, they ddin't give us the dessert in the set and we didn't ask. The cream cake is very big for 2 people, about 1 pound! We ate 1/4. We don't like cream cake except this one. The cream is very smooth, melted at once int he mouth. Not heavy at all. There is also 20% with the OP coupon. ONe coupon for three benefits. Very veyr worthable dinner!

The price is acceptable even there is OP coupon.

這天放假, 想和2位好友過一個悠閒的下午!選酒店內的餐廳, 是為了可以在較靜的地方慢慢傾,慢慢歎!在酒店內吃越南菜, 很新鮮呢! Lunch sets的選擇也不少.我們3人點了一個凍檬, 一個蕃茄湯底的河粉和一個清湯的河粉.個人認為食物不見突出. 但園林式的環境真的不錯, 很relax,加上人客不多, 侍應亦只在適當時候出現, 很適合hea一個一午.

The environment was very good and quiet...We enjoyed so much for that night's dinner~~We ordered a few dishes:1. 黑豚肉米紙卷 - good 2. 芭蕾雞絲沙律 - fresh....3. 香茅湯浸花蛤 - 花蛤is very big and sweet..4. 燒風鱔 - nice....5. 咖哩大蝦煲 - feel that the prown is very fresh and the currly is good too....Staff were very nice and helpful, they were willing to serve us. Also, they introduced the best selling dishes to us, we were deeply appreciated with them.

個人覺得果度d食物品質很好,環境亦很清靜 !食物方面, 試了以下幾款:芭蕾雞沙律---很 fresh...酸酸的...很開胃~咖喱大蝦煲--- 咖哩略甜..都 ok 啦...火焰燒鵪鶉---好好味呀燒風鱔---很香口..脆身~d staff 服務殷勤....招呼很好...主動執拾餐桌...整體都很滿意~ P.S. 唔明點解有 d 人o係大時大節咁多要求..我覺得大時節大家都想開開心心食餐飯....享受同時..都要懂得體諒...無謂搵氣黎激啦.....

since its mother's day today, the bookings seemed quite full, they called me three times to confirm my booking!! ahh... very annoyingthey said to me there would be 2 shifts for dinner, 6-8pm and 8-10pm, and they insisted on the said times, i picked the latter one and we arrived at 8pm sharp, but too bad they didnt have our table ready yet, waited for another 20mins to get seated finally (already ordered our dishes during the long wait)..ordered springrolls, soft shell crab rice paper salad rolls

ordered springrolls, soft shell crab rice paper salad rolls, pork salami fried rice, cold vermicelli with beef, fried shrimps with coconut, ox-tail pot (just made up the names)... they were all ready in a short time, quite efficient, the taste of them were nice too, quite impressive! everyone of us had our favourite dish.

alright, the bad things were that

1) almost all the staff (manager/waiter/waiteress, except servers maybe..) were quite unprofessional to me, the booking arrangement was messy, people complaining waiting to be seated while lots of vacant tables were there; we ordered fried rice but didnt even have a serving spoon!

2) since the dishes were made fast and we were hungry, we finished them kinda fast like in 30mins, and had a little chat and took pictures, i noticed that there were another 4-6 people queuing up, i supposed we were just the easy target to have our bills paid and be asked to leave, the 2 different managers came twice to ask if we wanted desserts, well, fine, i was ok, they got rid of all our cutlery finally, it was only 9pm at that time, we just sat there for less than an hour! whats wrong with them?! unbelievable!

3) the restaurant was actually quite small in size, and the fountain in the middle used up some areas too, and i found that they placed glasses and stuff on the fountain hem which made me quite uneasy, because it seemed the plates and glasses were all splashed with fountain water, urghh you know we do care about hygiene nowadays

anyways.. we didnt order desserts finally.. nobody bothered to say bye to us too, haha!

去過樓下兩間西餐廳,呢間環境原來最好,好comfortable。週刊有個2人套餐coupon,用咗佢,因有好多野食,揾多兩個朋友一起來。頭盤:春卷 - 精至、香脆黑豚肉米紙卷 - 味食唔出特別,無加香花菜之過,米紙皮亦不是入口溶種,ok la扎肉 - ok彈牙芭蕾雞絲沙律 - 整體味道很清爽,一香茅湯浸花蛤 - 一般燒風鱔 - 肉厚肥美燒春雞伴邊豆 - 肉亂燒大頭蝦 - 新鮮、少少香口,好正生牛河 -可以la,但始終不及小店子的芒果涼粉 - 無食,樣幾好自已加的越式炒粉絲 - 惹味香口,加少少呢度D清新正無露一流咖喱牛腩 - 配蒜包一流無coupon都會再來

Was browsing the Michellin guide, so decided to give Le Soleil a try..Walked past the buffet area in Royal Garden many times, always found that area to be very crowded and noisy. Walked past the buffet area in Royal Garden many times, always found that area to be very crowded and noisy. But as i walked up the stairs to Le Soleil, it seems like i have entered another realm... It was a peaceful and very charming little place..

Service was prompt and with a smile. Got plenty of recommendations from the lady manager. She introduced all dishes with great details and patience.

We had the following for our dinner.

Mango and Prawn Salad
The green mango shreds were tangy and crunchy. A good way to wake up your taste-buds.

Crispy Springrolls
The taste was ok, but i would have preferred it to be bigger in portion.

Bo La Lot
Also too small in portion, and they were done inconsistently.. some were hardly wrapped in any herbs. The colors looked different too. Perhaps some were re-fried and served to us.

Prawn on sugar cane
Ah... juicy and not too oily..

Curry Duck Leg
I usually don't like sweet curries. But this one gave me a pleasant surprise. It was both sweet and spicy at the same time. The meat is tender and comes off the bone easily. The garlic bread was a very good compliment to the dish too!

French-style baked Chicken
This dish doesn't even look good in the first place to begin with. Some parts were charred, some parts were pale, like uncooked. Taste was very mediocre. This was the only dish that we couldn't even finish half of it..

Prawn-paste "Kang Kong" vegetables
This was done very well. Very light and not too salty. Most prawn-paste stir-fried vegetables are always very salty.. but this was almost perfect. If only, they served it warmer.

Viet-style Eel
I'm not a big eel fan, but i must admit, this is GOOD! Big, fat slab of eel, juicy and tasty. Only enough to share between 2 people though!

Lobster Fried Rice
I felt the pineapples didn't go well with this dish. I thought they would fry this with some lobster sauce.. but turned out, it just like a Yang-Zhou fried rice with lobsters and pineapples.

Chocolate mousse with banana and sherbet
This was a great finish for our dinner. Smooth mousse over mushy banana inside a crispy crust. Sour jelly sauce and a ice-cold sherbet. Everyone had one each, and we finished it in less than 3 mins!

I would definitely come back again, especially with my the other half!

近日某旅遊雜誌有米芝蓮二人套餐的半價優惠,便相約二名友人於8/4/09晚前往。米芝蓮二人套餐原价$735,現連加一$401,包括:前菜:1.西貢春卷: 香脆、味OK2.越南扎肉餅: 好味、好彈牙3.芭蕾雞絲沙律: 份量少、蓮藕芯及芭蕾蕉芯爽脆、雞絲”嚡”4.黑豚肉米紙卷: 一般、好少豚肉、冇肉味、好在可以用來點超正魚露5.香茅湯浸花蛤: 花蛤過熟、冇鮮甜味、好” 嚡”主菜:1.椰青蟹: 大肉蟹,味鮮,最正係蟹肉連椰青水一齊食,好鮮甜! 不過,蟹殼弄得不夠碎,又沒有碎蟹殼的工具,唔通叫人用口咬?!2.越式燒風鱔: 鱔本身好大條、好味、皮厚好有咬口,其實烹調手法一般。3.燒法國春雞伴邊豆:應該只上胸肉,好細件、烤醬甜甜的、好香口!粉:看見Openrice上,好多人話牛肉湯河一般,於是叫了燒豬肉凍檬,講真豬肉和凍檬味道不特出,最重要係可以狂落魚露!!甜品:拉椰糕: 好味、不太甜除套餐外,另加:1.越式蒸粉卷 ($70-80): 皮滑、味可2.燒越南大頭蝦2隻 ($98@): 不錯, 有膏,但大頭蝦本身就味淡吧!3.飲品 x 3 (around $55-70@): Salted plum Le

近日某旅遊雜誌有米芝蓮二人套餐的半價優惠,便相約二名友人於8/4/09晚前往。
米芝蓮二人套餐原价$735,現連加一$401,包括:
前菜:

2.越南扎肉餅: 好味、好彈牙

3.芭蕾雞絲沙律: 份量少、蓮藕芯及芭蕾蕉芯爽脆、雞絲”嚡”

5.香茅湯浸花蛤: 花蛤過熟、冇鮮甜味、好” 嚡”
主菜:
1.椰青蟹: 大肉蟹,味鮮,最正係蟹肉連椰青水一齊食,好鮮甜!
不過,蟹殼弄得不夠碎,又沒有碎蟹殼的工具,唔通叫人用口咬?!

2.越式燒風鱔: 鱔本身好大條、好味、皮厚好有咬口,其實烹調手法一般。
3.燒法國春雞伴邊豆:應該只上胸肉,好細件、烤醬甜甜的、好香口!
粉:
看見Openrice上,好多人話牛肉湯河一般,於是叫了燒豬肉凍檬,講真豬肉和凍檬味道不特出,最重要係可以狂落魚露!!
甜品:
拉椰糕: 好味、不太甜

除套餐外,另加:
1.越式蒸粉卷 ($70-80): 皮滑、味可
2.燒越南大頭蝦2隻 ($98@): 不錯, 有膏,但大頭蝦本身就味淡吧!
3.飲品 x 3 (around $55-70@): Salted plum Lemonade,待應話係咸檸七,我話係咸檸水….CoCoCooler,係椰青水+Mint+lemongrass,一般啦!

埋單連加一 HK$910,平均每人$300。總括而言,食物用料不錯,味道由一般至中上,份量足,以優惠價食就好抵,用正價的話,我未必選這裡。環境好,有live music。待應服務達唔到酒店水準,不殷勤、不醒目、不細心。

早排慶祝女友生日, 知佢近來鍾意食越南菜, 特意上網揾間好D嘅!見Le Soliei 有米芝蓮推介, 加上生日有蛋糕送就去試下啦!感覺上環境一流, 有Live Music 之下氣氛唔錯. 最後食咗佢地嘅米芝蓮套餐, 有春卷, 蝦, 鱔, 花蛤, 牛柳, 越南牛肉粉及甜品. 份量一般, 唔算抵食 (不過酒店餐廳一般都係咁上下). 最好食係大頭蝦, 每位半隻, 超大隻, 其他食物就大致OK, 但個越南粉就及不上出面個D越南粉專門店般好味.總括而言, 氣氛絕對一流, 係市面少有嘅高級越南餐廳, 但食物又不致於一流咁啦. 睇嚟"米芝蓮"都係着重環境多D.

The appetizer consisted of 3 kinds of vietnamese rolls (rice paper roll, beef in leaf roll & springrolls) which were all easy eats that worked up a good vietnamese appetite. The chicken & beef were both flavourful although only the former was tender enough to score a thumbs up. Beef pho was as bad as what I expected a non-beef pho specialist would provide as the soup reeked of MSG, but the disappointment was made up for by the grilled vietnamese king prawn which had EXTREMELY sweet meat and miso

The meal ended with a complimentary dessert which was nicely coconutty. Somehow I wasn't that full after this meal so I was able to keep eating more good food afterwards - am happy about that!
