I got invited to a wine gathering dinner from my friend in Tai Kok Tsui last Friday. I am so excited as I just passed my WSET course, which is a basic wine certificate course which held by a British Organization and I am ready, for a beginner level, to test my tongue to do a wine tastingI haven’t been to this restaurant before even I always come to Tai Kok Tsui for Chinese hotpot. Frankly speaking, I didn’t give too much expectation on food this time, but I changed my mind after the appetizer.The appetizer is Hokkaido King Scallop in capaccio. The Scallop is a bit thin, but so fresh and match really well with refreshing lime sauce. We started with a Chile Riesling white wine which gave us a beautiful start.Then the 2nd course wine came, Oh my God!!! which is my most favorite German White wine, Gewurztraminer and a surprise the 2nd course food came which is Pan Fried French Foie Gras, its just a dream match for me….Then a soup called Jerusalem flaming soup which they put congnac on the soup and made a small flame. the Manager asked us to mix it well before we taste it. My friend and I so excited then we forgot to take picture!!!There are 2 choices of Main Courses, one is Rib Eye with Black Truffle Butter Sauce or Pork Rack in Spanish Special Sauce, my friend and I ordered both to share. First came with Pork Rack, the manager told us that 70% well done will be the best to enjoy this Pork Rack, so we accepted the recommendation. To tell you the truth is the presentation is not that good, but after we tasted it, Wow, it is so juicy and meat is so smooth, I think it is the best Grilled Pork Rack I ever tasted, thanks for the Manager recommendation.We started with a French Red wine with another Main Course, which is the Rib Eye, again, not so sure the presentation is good plus steak is not always my favorite, but after I had my first bite, it was just amazing that (my friend told me afterwards)I suddenly stopped talking, just concentrated in eating my steak so I can get a bigger portion than my friend. Ha Ha Ha.. U can see how I satisfied with this course..We finished this very lovely dinner with Moscatel and a dessert combination. The restaurant atmosphere is so good and relax, now other than hotpot I have another favorite place to go in Tai Kok Tsui.

最近剛畢業,正在忙著找工作,心情變得好煩躁…所以約了友人聚舊出去談談心,吐一吐苦水!友人知道我對吃的要求比較高,所以特意去詢問朋友有何餐廳能推介一下最後選了這間位於大角咀的夏威夷州風味西餐廳住在新界北的我,很少會出去大角咀這個地方但在友人朋友的推介下,我們決定前往這所不太熟悉的地方去...一到達餐廳,看見已有手寫的黑板推介著有什麼好吃的精選黑色門面的餐廳外表,襯托著柔和的燈光因為我們在兩天前已經訂座了,所以不用等候就能進入餐廳最近夏天令天氣都變得十分炎熱,就算在晚上也沒有一絲的涼意幸好,餐廳內的冷氣都開得挺足夠,使我們頓時感到十分涼快!於我們坐下後,那位女侍應就立即詢問我是否需要一些餐前飲品在她的推介下,我選了一杯類似椰果香檳的飲品飲完很透心涼呢!因為我倆都沒吃過這間餐廳,所以在點餐的時候都叫經理給些建議這位經理很有耐性給我們解釋這樣菜的煮法,令我們更容易選擇菜式最後選了四道菜,足夠令我倆吃得棒腹而走!每樣菜都有各的特色,廚師把食物都烹調得味道恰到好處味道不會過於濃烈,適合我和友人的口味當我們差不多吃完,經理都會走過來詢問一下食物味道如何,何見他們是重視客人的意思後來跟經理溝通一番後,得知這所餐廳開業了差不多一年的時間...這裡的音樂都很挺柔和,環境很舒服,侍應生不會胡亂打擾客人用餐的時間我最怕是去一些吵吵鬧鬧的餐廳進餐,又要趕著我們結帳我對這間餐廳的環境,食物質素,服務生態度都是滿意的唯一要改善的地方是餐牌菜式能夠多樣化點,希望下次再去時候有驚喜了!感謝友人的相伴,吃畢後我會努力再去找工作的...

餐廳午餐的食物及服務水準越來越差! 好好的一家西式餐廳做得越來越不像樣!原來較高級西式餐廳的格局,開始與附近的茶餐廳看齊。食物做法變得港式口味,好像磨菇飯煮成近似湯飯般糊口,已偏離餐廳原來主打西餐的口味,主打的豬扒飯水準亦變得大不如前。服務員雖然努力表現有禮,但不斷趕急為客人在剛用餐時便送上甜品及飲品的態度,令人誤以為入了不斷趕客的茶餐廳。 $60-$90的午餐在大角頭區並不便宜,走進這餐而非茶餐廳的當然有所期望。但這次的經驗......

同老公星期六o係 neighborhood 搵食,行過呢個 Kona Bay幾次,所以今日黎試下。話係夏威夷餐,其實係普通西餐,仲要係有小小港式。我地叫左 3 樣野,Blue mussels, Hawaiian style pan fried sole, Angus steak (special promotion). 最好味係個 mussels, 要左白酒汁,個汁小小辣,好好味。如果再濃o的會效果更佳。個牛扒同魚就好普通,唔係唔好味,但無特別,唔會令我特別想返黎。服務態度唔錯,尤其係個 host, 我估佢可能有份,因為佢會 upsell o的餐,同埋好積極叫客人再返黎,又送餐飲我地。Overall it is a pass, 6 / 10. 我地唔 sure 一定會返黎。

新手上路,不喜勿看如果你覺得女仔食嘢嘅時候鍾意相機食先就係港女嘅,咁我係囉...影完啲相又唔想下下post上fb好似曬命咁,post上依度最有建設性啦!間餐廳係夫君搵嘅,慶祝情人節緊係預早訂枱啦,多謝夫君睇吓有乜食先先嚟個頭冷盤,帶子新鮮,蓮藕片夠脆同有黑胡椒味,好似食黑椒味薯片咁,伴超細粒嘅蕃茄粒同青瓜粒,fresh~再嚟熱盤青口,青口唔會太過熟岩岩好,食到有一粒沙,芬奴忌廉汁第一次食,開頭食唔慣?好似有啲似牙膏味?,不過夫君好鍾意個汁海鮮湯好重龍蝦仔味,我發覺我自己越來越唔鍾意龍蝦湯,夫君覺得鯹我飲牛尾湯,ok嘅,夫君覺得酸青檸雪首葩清清個口,我好鍾意雪葩,食幾多都唔夠喉啦因為預早full payment訂枱,送兩杯sparkling,有酒味,我地極少飲酒,唔識comment主菜,夫君要牛排,離遠都聞到松露味,超級香,好味我要魚,個賣相好靚,全熟嗰件魚好香玫瑰味,第一次食玫瑰味嘅魚,好特別另外香草三文魚,生嘅但係真係暖暖地,超多香草,good甜品,心太軟唔太流心,我鍾意蛋糕底脆脆地配菠蘿雪糕都幾特別,有菠蘿肉但因為本人麻麻心太軟,亦麻麻菠蘿,又太飽,食唔哂第二朝我同夫君都要早起身,咖啡求其飲咗兩啖走人
