由中環LANDMARK放工, 行到JASPAS, 唔知係自己體質唔好定點, 一身大汗, 因為實在太多鈄路行.好彩呢一餐都唔會失望~ WEEKDAYS 我地7:30P到, 都未有人, 可以坐WINDOW SIDE有D街境.兩個女仔食, 所以都唔會叫太多.一個APPETIZER一個PASTA再加個CAKE, 已經飽到傻左.個FRIED CALAMARI味道唔錯, 不過個炸粉有小小日式感覺, 唔似美式炸野.CARBONERA個汁好好味, 而且BACON好多, 所以雖然PASTA份量不大, 食完都覺得岩岩好.重點期待個BANOFFI CAKE, 因為見到好多好評~ 結果真係無負我地既期待, 超多香蕉配上D朱古力粉同TIRAMISU餅身...好好味!!! 好大件CAKE, 我地兩個SHARE完都要捧住個肚!服務態度就OK啦, 鬼妹姐姐好友善, 反而其他本地人全程黑口黑面.會為左個BANOFFI CAKE再返黎的!

CARBONERA個汁好好味, 而且BACON好多, 所以雖然PASTA份量不大, 食完都覺得岩岩好.
重點期待個BANOFFI CAKE, 因為見到好多好評~ 結果真係無負我地既期待, 超多香蕉配上D朱古力粉同TIRAMISU餅身...好好味!!! 好大件CAKE, 我地兩個SHARE完都要捧住個肚!

服務態度就OK啦, 鬼妹姐姐好友善, 反而其他本地人全程黑口黑面.

會為左個BANOFFI CAKE再返黎的!

We were here for one thing only - dessert! M had raved about their banoffee pie ($65) before and I had to try it, so she kindly agreed, even though I knew she wanted the malteser cheesecake more =P. Our pie took ages to come, but I guess they were slicing it, dressing up the plate blahblahblah..... Anyway, when it eventually arrived, I was a happy customer. Doesn't look as good (on its own) as Simply Life's aesthetically, but the layers were better proportioned, and definitely leaned more toward

Doesn't look as good (on its own) as Simply Life's aesthetically, but the layers were better proportioned, and definitely leaned more towards the real banoffee pie. This one had a bottom crust of crushed digestive cookies with butter, a layer of caramel (noticeably thicker than the one from Simply Life - much better too), whole bananas, and a layer of Chantilly cream (i.e. sweetened whipped cream). As the cream layer was significantly thinner compared to other banoffee pies I've tried / seen (798 Unit, Simply Life, Portobellos), I thought Jaspas had executed my ideal banoffee pie. Why so much cream anyway? Yes it looks better, but if I wanted to eat cream I'd just buy some cream and whip it up right?!

We were pleased with this dessert, and if you ever get a craving for banoffee pie I'd recommend you head over to Jaspas! =D

was looking for a good sunday morning brunch place where I could get a full breakfast + pancakes. The breakfast (eggs, bacon, toast, etc) was good but a bit too oily - but what really made the brunch a fail were the pancakes - very disappointing.

我的飲品是Sangria, 都算是有水準的一杯, 酸酸甜甜的, 又有酒味... 不要以我在說廢話, 有時有些Sangria 沒有酒味, 或者紅酒太酸了...

我們姑且將這碟餸稱之為燒大菇,這個燒大菇也不差哦, 菇菇不是中式小館乜乜炒雜菇的菇,而是外國那些黑色的大菇, 伴和著Souse入口真的有驚喜, 連我這個肉食者都覺得ok ~

這個就是我們叫的Salad, 我完全不知道這個的菜名, 在我的印象中,時常以為放在Salad Category上的菜,至少蔬菜類都應該是生的, 可是這個Salad 一上桌我們都很好奇, 這碟Salad中的疏菜類全是熟的! 下層有菠菜,中層有露荀, 上面放了半熟的三文魚, 疏菜部份有點似中式菜的味道, 但是味道是可以的, 露帶有鮮味, 而且很嫩口; 而三文魚煮得剛剛好, 魚肉沒有過硬, 有點半生熟的感覺, 就真的是剛剛好, 配上蕃茄醬, 酸酸甜甜, 變成一道很好的開胃菜.

那幾天不知道為甚麼突然很想吃Pizza, 所以雖然只有我們兩個人, 我也叫了一大個Pepperoni Pizza, 結果大半個Pizza也給我吃進肚子裡~ 這裡的Pizza很正點哦~ , Pizza底很薄, 也很脆, 上面熔掉了的芝士鋪滿厚厚的一層, 切開Pizza時, 芝士還一條條的連在一起呢, 配合著Pepperoni, 簡直令人食指大動~

我在網上看見人家寫食評說這間的waiter都不禮貌, 態度不好, 我就沒有遇上啦, 不過沒有太多笑容就是了... 幸好我們要求不太高, 只要菜ok, 我們就自己食自己啦.

Came after a relatively light dinner at La'Taste with a friend for dessert. We were going to look at other restaurants in the area for dessert but felt they all served relatively the same things like tiramisu, chocolate molten cake, cheesecake etc. So we decided we'd pick Jaspas as we haven't tried their desserts yet. Came after a relatively light dinner at La'Taste with a friend for dessert. We were going to look at other restaurants in the area for dessert but felt they all served relatively the same things like tiramisu, chocolate molten cake, cheesecake etc. So we decided we'd pick Jaspas as we haven't tried their desserts yet.

We decided on the Aussie pavlova and a Chocolate Brownie Sundae.

We didn't want molten chocolate as it would be way too rich, yet wanted something with chocolate so we decided on this...
When it arrived we laughed - not because it was funny but because we were thinking how we would possibly finish two desserts! This dessert was composed of 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream (neither movenpick nor haagen-daz) and two slices of brownie on top.

The brownie itself was the crunchy/hard variety - so for those who only do the fudgy/chewy kind, this is not for you. But if you just like brownies in general, then you would probably give this a thumbs up! It's sweetness was perfect when eaten with the ice cream.

Aussie Pavlova
I picked this one, since pavlovas are more rare in HK compared to other desserts like creme brulee etc. Again, like the sundae this was a massive dessert - a huge meringue 'cake' topped with plenty of whipped cream, fruits and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

The dessert was wonderful and each component was of quality. The meringue itself was rather sweet, but of course the whipped cream balanced it. The outer part of the meringue was crispy, almost hard, as it is the part that the heat of the oven reaches most so it becomes drier like a biscuit. The inside on the other hand, was whiter in colour, and was very chewy in a good way - it almost tasted less sweet too. For me, I preferred the chewy part but the whole thing was tasty when eaten with either the cream or the ice cream. The cream, I would gladly add, was proper whipped cream, not the ones from aerosol cans, and you can tell because there was only a very slight hint of sweetness, and you could taste the dairy.

In summary, Jaspas serves excellent desserts!

I treated a friend here as part of her birthday present, but this choice was unplanned and merely because i've had good experiences here. We ordered a fettucine carbonara and a grilled U.S. chicken with Thai sauce. The Carbonara was a generous portion for its size, coated in a white sauce and bacon. We ordered a fettucine carbonara and a grilled U.S. chicken with Thai sauce.

The Carbonara was a generous portion for its size, coated in a white sauce and bacon. I'm not sure this is the traditional carbonara with cream and yolks only, but it tasted reasonably good!

The Chicken with thai sauce arrived together with the pasta (a plus), and it was plated quite nicely. Two grilled chicken breasts stacked on top of some roasted potatoes and mixed vegetables.

The vegetables were quite oily because they were at the bottom, but were cooked very well (except for the eggplant). The potatoes were I suspected, boiled then roasted so the skin would brown a little. It was also cooked well. The chicken was very tender despite it being the breast part, and the Thai sauce was a red curry sauce with a little pesto on top for a contrast in colours. The sauce was oily (well, it is a curry sauce) but tasted really good.

I have come here many times and thanks to their long menu I have always been able to pick something different and enjoyable. I would recommend, apart from the two dishes above, their pumpkin soup (as soup of the day) and the beef tacos.

When 1.25 hours were almost gone, the waiter reminded us to order a dessert that it wouldnt take long to prepare. Forcing me to leave while urging me to order more dishes????!!!?????!!!! Really wanted to leave the place at once. My friend was so patient to ask if the preparation of banoffi cake would take long. The waiter said no and so we had this last piece of cake. Regretted not leaving.

The banoffi cake was too banana and too little caramel, I like the banoffi pie that I had in 798 more.

I put the credit card next to the bill and the waiter got it without saying anything.
Definitely NOT coming back again no matter how good the food is.

上個禮拜同女朋友「橕枱腳」,搵咗此間Soho餐廳食晚飯,環境都OK有格調,好多都係一對對情侶喺度食 首先我地叫咗青口做starter,好似D汁鹹咗少少,青口的份量亦都唔算太多 墨西哥薄餅 - 烤得很鬆軟, Salsa的辣度亦恰到好處, 正! 白汁磨菇意大利飯 - Menu上無有肉的Risotto, 所以揀左此order,因為好想食Risotto!亦冇令我地失望,白汁加咗D白酒,D味調較得好好,飯亦煮得很軟熟 雪糕蘋果批 - 很失望!因為批面的餅碎弄得太散,個批本身亦太鬆身,而且整得太甜,雪糕擺面亦令雪糕熔得好快,因為個「批」好熱 服務是OK的,個waiter亦很樂意幫我們合照

墨西哥薄餅 - 烤得很鬆軟, Salsa的辣度亦恰到好處, 正!


白汁磨菇意大利飯 - Menu上無有肉的Risotto, 所以揀左此order,因為好想食Risotto!亦冇令我地失望,白汁加咗D白酒,D味調較得好好,飯亦煮得很軟熟


雪糕蘋果批 - 很失望!因為批面的餅碎弄得太散,個批本身亦太鬆身,而且整得太甜,雪糕擺面亦令雪糕熔得好快,因為個「批」好熱

Just casually picked this Jaspas up after watching a movie in IFC. We picked this because there were so many people inside and my instinct told me that there should be a good reason. Finally, Jaspas proved myself wrong. My wife and I ordered two so-called set lunch and the food was so-so. What make us disappointed (and unforgettable) was the poor service. Just casually picked this Jaspas up after watching a movie in IFC. We picked this because there were so many people inside and my instinct told me that there should be a good reason. Finally, Jaspas proved myself wrong.

My wife and I ordered two so-called set lunch and the food was so-so. What make us disappointed (and unforgettable) was the poor service.

Every staff there had no smile and I was not sure whether they were so stressful or not. (But I guess not coz they have fun themselves when they need not serve any customer).

At the time when I checked the bill, I requested to one of the waiters for water re-fill. I was not sure whether my request was too mean or too demanding as another waiter nearby whispered that "huh, water after bill check?" (吓, 埋咗單都仲要水?). Frankly, during the 40 mins lunch there, we never asked for additional service (and no request for re-fill of water despite our glasses were almost empty).

Well, yes, I want my water re-fill, so?

No worries, though I do not have many friends, I will spread it out how good this restaurant is and I trust that my friends will make a good choice then.

frankly the food was ok. since we arent too hungry as we got off work pretty late, we just ordered 2 mains n drinksthe angel hair is pretty good: creamy mushroomJaspas pizza: with parma ham n veggies. food isnt as good as al dente next door but there is no queue while al dente has a 30min wait (there must be a reason right)ok. after the average meal, the waiter handed me n my friend our cheque and we didnt even ask for it. reluctantly we paid, and sat there to have a chat afterwards, while findi

ok. after the average meal, the waiter handed me n my friend our cheque and we didnt even ask for it. reluctantly we paid, and sat there to have a chat afterwards, while finding no queue outside despite of quite a busy flow.

15 mins went by, we heard so much chatters and eyes flying around by the waiters hinting to us "its time to go". of course we ignored it, until this man came up to us and said in a very impolite tone,

"CAN WE HAVE OUR TABLE BACK? ITS BEEN 30 MINS SINCE YOU PAID THE BiLL"

i wanted to slap him, then order again, but my friend told me to calm down and just leave.

enough said right? ok food and shyte service, a definate never-go-again.

今次來到蘇豪的西餐廳,不是吃正餐,而是吃飯後甜品,有點點本末倒置,Jaspas在Soho上有多年歷史,在港九西貢也有其蹤影,也算是一間連鎖式經營西餐廳吧.有時候也會以貌取人,多年來未曾光顧,全因外表去推斷,同身邊朋友的評價,{睇你個樣,唔使睇,唔食都知到唔謊好食.}不過,做人不要一味道聽途說地以偏蓋全.其他食客差不多吃到荼靡,我們才施然走進店內的一角.全部人都是吃甜品,無論男男女女,一律甜魔附身,再不是詐甜納福之流.等一會兒,甜品旋即一檯都係,人人有份,永不落去.想獨善其身扮有性格喝啤酒?請到路口的Soho Junction去.Banoffi Cake味如Tiramisu,不同在中間有香蕉肉在內,Creme Brulee水準一般,香脆的焦糖下的蛋,如陳真說的糊仔一樣.Apple Crumble份量十足,焦香的面層下,粒粒都是香甜的蘋果粒,澳州名物Pavlova,連個名都叫Aussie作行頭,可見其代表性,之前在伊利近街的澳州餐廳Cecconi,s吃過此甜品,相比之下Jaspas的份量更加巨型.此甜品的典故或者大多人都知道,名字是來自上世紀初的一位舞蹈家,這個甜品用忌

又想起一個無聊之想法:如果有人用俄國名舞蹈家 - 雷里耶夫來命名一個甜品,個甜品大約是什麼呢?
