Originally, I planned to name this comment as "Westernization of Chinese Dim Sums".  I have then decided to give credit to my friend who came here with me, who is moving overseas for good and for a new page of life!  She said she would definitely miss the Chinese food in Hong Kong when she is abroad.  Asking her to name wherever she likes for farewell dinner, she chose "Dim Sum Library" - which is quasi-western when compared to the traditional Chinese restaurants in the vicinity.  There is a bar area in the restaurant and the atmosphere is similar to Western restaurants.We just ordered hot water because we are afraid of insomnia after drinking tea at such late hours of the day!As stated in my gourmet introduction, I love shrimp dumplings (i.e. Har Gau) a lot.  As a first time diner here, I have no hesitation ordering one of their signature dishes, Truffle Har Gau!HK$48 for 3 pieces, similar to other Chinese restaurants in Admiralty.  The skin of the dumpling is filled with truffles and the shrimp taste is imbedded with an after-taste.  Another dish to recommend is Lobster Bao.  Frankly, the appearance of the dish is not intriguing, at all.  It looks like, eh... one of our body parts.  Yet, don't reach a conclusion before tasting it. As the old saying goes, "Don't judge the book by its cover".The bun is small, yet it is contented with lobster meat and seafood sauce.  You would not wish to miss the gem inside the rock.My friend said she loved all kinds of soft boiled eggs, like Japanese style and those smoked eggs in Shanghai style.The foie gras are put on top of the eggs, with some sea salt placed at the side for diners' use.Caviar on top of the foie gras.  The dish is very fulfilling  although the portion is not big.  Rice rolls are common dishes in Chinese restaurants, and the creativity of this shop is also demonstrated in this Crispy Rice Rolls with squid and the chinese ingredient (響鈴)If you wish to eat something similar to spring rolls, this is an alternative for gourmets.While my friend is on diet, she declared not to eat any carbohydrates. I said I need some soup and carbohydrates in order to fill my stomach and not to crave for food in the middle of the night.  I ordered the Udon soup in Rock fish soup, and she is responsible for drinking the soup!When the dish arrives, I realise that the portion is much bigger than those dim sums! The chopped veggies floating on the soup is refreshing.The fish soup is milky in colour and my friend just cannot insist to taste a little bit of udon as well!There are many fish slices inside the udon and this dish is worth for value.We wish we could have a bigger stomach for the desserts.   While we were too full, we hoped to come back again for desserts if my friend comes back to visit HK again!Friendship worths more than the value of this meal indeed.  Cheers! 繼續閱讀

夏天經常落大雨,所以lunchtime去左位於金鐘太古廣場嘅Dim Sum Library,唔使淋雨佢地既裝修中西合璧,係一間以黑色為主調既高級點心餐廳。因為裝修得太西式既緣故,好難稱佢為一間酒樓,門口帶位亦係外國人打開Menu發現大部份點心都好特別,好多更用上較矜貴既食材大紅袍 $18/per person茶味香濃,齒頰留香黑松露蝦餃 $48皮薄,有淡淡黑松露味薑蔥龍蝦包 $88包好軟熟,裏面有一粒粒既龍蝦肉黑蒜燒賣 $48每一粒燒賣入邊都會藏住黑蒜,不過我就覺得苦味多左少少巴馬火腿蘿蔔糕$68兩樣鹹點擺埋一齊,味道原來都幾match!花枝響鈴炸兩$68薄薄既皮包住炸脆左既響鈴,好香脆,好味!懷舊酥皮蛋撻$52櫻花蝦茴香豚肉炒飯 $158總結: 點心款式創新,不過價錢略貴,比較吸引外國人或喜歡創新既朋友。 繼續閱讀

預先訂位的,訂左6:45,落雨天方便,金鐘地鐵站出F出口,好快就到!叫左幾個點心、魚烏冬,櫻花蝦炒飯!上菜速度都快,全部都好食,但沒什麼驚喜之作!多人就可以叫多幾樣試吓,一般係一份3件,貼心地仲可以叫店員幫手落單時多叫幾件,唔洗爭,個個都可以試吓!👍 繼續閱讀

經常路過太古廣場,看見這家新派點心餐廳,於是和朋友一試。餐廳環境較昏暗,食客眾多,即使已訂座,亦要等候一會。餐牌選擇有傳統的點心,亦有新派點心,我們二人點了以下食物:炮仗春卷一客三件,炸得金黃香脆,內裡有鮮蝦,亦有一些酸甜而帶點辣味的醬汁。蝦腸一客三條,腸粉蒸得通透,軟滑可口。每一條腸粉包有三隻鮮蝦,蝦肉爽口彈牙,肉質新鮮,味道甜美。野茵蓉飽一籠三個,外表有些棕色一點點像磨菇的紋。看見蒸氣不斷升起,輕輕咬一口熱呼呼的飽,鬆軟綿密, 內裡的野茵蓉很有香氣。黑毛豬蘿蔔糕相信是新派點心,充滿鹹香的黑毛豬火腿,包著軟滑的蘿蔔糕,做法創新。但味道其實配搭不錯的。石頭魚湯稻庭烏冬魚湯清澈不肥膩,味道清甜,魚肉軟腍,再加上爽口的小堂菜粒。稻座烏冬滑不溜口,份量不算少。食物質素不錯,服務一般而價錢偏貴。 繼續閱讀

一年一度嘅母親節,當然要帶母親大人去食好野喇!嗰日我就帶咗媽媽去呢間響金鐘太古廣場嘅新式茶樓慶祝。我地叫咗幾個點心,有海膽春卷、龍蝦包、擔擔湯包同黑松露蝦餃,另外仲叫咗石鍋魚湯稻庭烏冬同黑松露手撕雞。海膽春卷外皮炸得好鬆脆,上面放咗鮮甜嘅海膽,鮮味十足;龍蝦包外皮夠軟熟,而且餡料有一粒粒嘅龍蝦肉,味道相當唔錯;至於擔擔湯包就夠曬創意,其實即係擔擔麵味嘅小籠包,唔會太辣,食落幾香口;黑松露蝦餃入面嘅蝦肉爽口彈牙,而且充滿黑松露香味,齒頰留香。石鍋魚湯稻庭烏冬湯底鮮甜,唔似落咗味精,烏冬夠軟滑,仲有啖啖魚肉!我個人認爲黑松露手撕雞係最好味嘅,鷄皮炸得香脆,但係一d都唔油膩,黑松露香味恰到好處,唔會蓋過鷄肉嘅鮮甜味道,真係食到停唔到口!整體黎講,呢間餐廳嘅食物味道、服務質素同環境都相當唔錯,唔怪得咁多人慕名而來啦~所以大家如果想去呢間餐廳食飯,就記得要訂位啦~ 繼續閱讀
