Television show Masterchef is my favorite cooking series in my school time ha, it’s so inspiring and motivating. Every time watched this show, i just wanna cook myself, really a good show. I like the feeling of this intense competition and the judges giving tough comment everytimes. That’s the time I start following Gordon Ramsay cause he having great passion on cooking. He blaming the participants so hard for their not-in-standard dishes. So me having high expectation on his restaurant. However Bread Street Kitchen and Bar disappointed us indeed heartbrokenly.Searched their webpage, knowing that it’s the truffle season so now they offering truffle menu. As a truffle big fan, me looking for this so much. How come I get arrived and they said not offering? lol that’s pretty sad!Signature dish is beef wellington with mashed potatoes and peppercorn. Waited for an hour for this most famous dishes, after having  all other dishes. However it absolutely disappointed us... the quality of the beef is unacceptable, the texture is so bad the beef seem already getting rot. There’re four pieces but we can barely finished two of them...really like a torture eating them. Even I feel the coved crispy pastry isn’t bad with full butter flavor, the mushroom fillings aren’t bad too. But the core ingredient beef getting rotten is big concern.But I did have to say me indeed like mashed potatoes which having soft texture and strong butter flavor, how lovely is it haa, so far one of the best mashed potatoes ever tried haI do like Roasted halibut with crushed potatoes, capers and brown shrimp. The texture is so tender with lovely flavor, even I cant tastethe schrimp. B ut overall the combination is so good for me ahShepherd’s pie served with garden peas, Finally realised it’s made by beef after trying the upper part of the pie, I smelled strong flavour of beef, it’s a bit strange adding peas with the pie, it just simply doesn’t match Wild Mushroom risotto, aged Parmesan cheese, sliced truffle is my favorite dish, but please eat it when it’s warm otherwise the good flavor gonna gone soon. The sauce is so good even no any meat insides but it’s really so full having thisLamb cutlets New Zealand honestly not in good standard, the taste is just fine soft bread with butterwarm environmentThe warm lighting and environment giving you comfortable feeling, just in western style which i like. Though the food quality is indeed overrated, even heard of many times that Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant isn’t in high standard but still wanna try it myself. It only brought us disappointment sad. 繼續閱讀

今天是我的生日,於是到山頂吃晚飯慶祝,我們就選擇了這家餐廳。環境方面:餐桌數量不算多,有室外座位,也有半開放式廚房。衛生方面:餐廳很整潔,可是有一些菜渣......食物方面:我們先吃了炸魚柳配炸馬鈴薯條,魚肉很嫩滑,口感挺特別。炸馬鈴薯條炸得很香脆。再嘗了牛扒,牛肉味很濃,很多汁。最後是炸雞漢堡包,麵包很鬆軟,雞肉嫩滑多汁,漢堡包裏的辣醬比較辣,不適合不能吃辣的人。我很滿意這次的生日晚飯,也很推薦大家來這家餐廳用膳。 繼續閱讀

兒子十分喜歡Gordon Ramsay, 所以星期日佢生日就帶佢黎呢度食lunch, 首先,一早已經訂咗枱及講左慶祝正日生日,但係估唔到西式餐廳竟然係乜都冇做,講一句happy birthday都冇。餐枱下十分多垃圾,可能因為山頂依家人流非常多,所以清潔吾切,要我們要求清潔地下才能坐,他們才掃地。食物好一般,叫左牛肉burger, 個漢堡肉太硬冇肉汁,頭盤叫左煎八爪魚, 咸到死,雞肉burger一般,下次唔會再黎! 繼續閱讀

之前係屋企試左整威靈頓牛扒,發覺真係好難整得好食,咁就梗係要去揾間餐廳,向個大廚偷下師啦!一講威靈頓牛扒,就即刻諗起地獄廚神!所以特登book張枱,就係為左向佢個招牌菜,威靈頓牛扒,偷偷師。山頂ge景觀真係無得頂,清清靜靜,野食都特別好味餐前先飲杯espresso martini,再食啖餐廳送ge餐前麵包,無得頂!espresso martini味道豐富,絕無小氣ge充滿酒味,麵包新鮮熱辣,個牛油帶d煙肉味。前菜叫左菠菜沙律,不過不失,此終沙律,材料新鮮就足夠到主菜威靈頓牛扒,一份切開4件,件牛大概1-2成熟,個人覺得有d生,因為真係少少啡色都無個酥皮同肉無分離,中間ge磨菇碎好有味,雖然無用到parma ham包住,個人覺得差少少,不過配埋個sauce,就明白點解呢個係廚神招牌菜!個sauce帶起返成件威靈頓牛扒ge味道同温度,食落去完全唔似係1-2成熟ge牛,個sauce直情有鼓起死回生ge能力!我個人覺得件牛真係below average,同網上ge評語差唔多,不過一加上呢個絕級ge sauce,絕對將成件牛升返做廚神級!食完侍應都表達,煮呢件牛ge温度,餐廳係set好左唔准變,所以無得話件牛熟d定生d,雖然係咁,為左佢個sauce,個人認為可以一試呢個廚神級威靈頓牛扒! 繼續閱讀

有一陣子沒上來山頂了,多了一點新店舖和設施,商場也翻新了。而這天的天氣也好得不能再好了,頭頂一片澄澈藍天,萬里無雲,清新涼爽。終於第一次試試 Gordon 的餐廳了!那時大概下午兩三點,餐廳有室內和露天用餐。不過外面坐滿了,所以坐室內。我們點了 Fish & Chips 和 Flat Bread Guanciale。餐前麵包非常鬆軟香口,美味。Fish & Chips ($198)炸魚本身的魚味非常甘香,在不點醬、剝走外層炸皮之下,試了幾口純魚肉,魚那股濃濃油脂甘味在嘴中爆發,吃得出是很新鮮的高質魚。配上的他他醬非常好味,用料豐富,我一點不漏吃光。而用了牛骨髓提味的青豆蓉,開頭吃是覺得還不錯,但越吃越覺得不太喜歡那味道,所以最後吃剩了。薯條很大條,口感十足,薯味新鮮,亦炸得剛好。Flat Bread Guanciale($128)Flat bread 原來好似pizza這樣上。Guanciale是風乾豬面頰肉,第一次吃,肉質十分嫩滑,薄薄一片,看起來好像魚生。配上pesto醬、洋蔥和芝士,味道特別而美味。而flat bread就像薄底pizza,微脆而口感帶點煙韌。總結,食物美味高質,絕對滿意,環境也優美,想再來。 繼續閱讀
