Went to Bizou to celebrate a friend's birthday on a Saturday evening, it was such a bad experience!! The salads were OK, but the main courses and pasta were terrible! We have ordered 4 main courses, tune steak, caramelized duck, park loin, and chicken. All of them were so overcooked, the meats were so hard and so dry, not juicy at all!! Besides, we have two orders of linguine with clams, both of them were so salty that we couldn't even eat them! We consulted the waiter, he said that was the taste of sea water from the clams......I never knew that sea water can be that salty....!

Used coupons from asiaxpat.com for Monday night dinners. It's not a bad deal if you want to eat out in soho.we were lucky we arrived in time to get a table for 2 without reservations. This restaurant still fills up on a monday night when other restaurants on the same street (esp the one opposite) are rather empty.the waiter didn't force us to have bottled water (yay!), the bread was a nice loaf of white bread, very warm, with a herby dip that comes with it. We ordered the onion soup (a bit too salty), the spinach salad (decent portion), tuna steak (rare, nicely done as requested, large piece, came with side dish of veg), and the duck (succulent and tasty).Service was good, but the tables were a bit small and not sufficiently spaced out apart.

11月16日晚請友人來soho食生日飯,比咗2個choices佢揀,最後嚟咗呢間,個set dinner(3 courses)只叫咗1個,再+散叫1) 麵包-免費-還是暖的,裡面好軟熟,似ciabatta,配以oily的sauce(無嘜味),估唔到效果都幾好2) 南瓜湯-散叫-因有食家話(set lunch時)佢地個南瓜湯好正,於是左翻右翻個menu都搵唔到,索性叫亞waiter埋嚟,佢同個chef傾完後,話肯整比我,good-個味道都真喺好good,有南瓜味,仲有另種唔知咩味,但2隻味好夾,質感小"杰".........連友人都讚...........我都好開心3) sweet corn & bacon chowder-set dinner的頭盤(另1個option喺house paste),內裡有好多蔬菜粒,味道都唔差...........但1致認為南瓜湯好d4) sole fillet stuff with crabmeat-set dinner的主菜(另1個option喺牛仔肉),賣相就已經好靚-條魚d肉都幾厚身,裡面都幾多蟹肉-味道就中規中矩,因2者都無嘜鮮味-底下墊咗d菠菜5) roast chicken-散叫-脾位d肉當然嫩d啦,其他位置幸好唔太"鞋",做得唔乾,以西餐雞嚟講,做得算唔錯-但最好味原來喺個sauce,好有磨菇味,跟雞肉1齊食,就好味好多喇-隻雞底下喺薯蓉,荷蘭豆,黃瓜條同青瓜條6) lime tart with lime sorbert-set dinner的甜品(另1個option喺creme brulee with vanilla ice cream)-個lime sorbert好凍同好好酸吓,個lime tart其實喺好似lime味的cheese cake面再+層burnt suagr,所以都幾甜吓-我地2個麻麻地鍾意啫-本來甜品喺我個強項,但個主菜個份量唔少(剩下1個魚卷),無辦法再散叫多個甜品試吓-當晚嘅set dinner選擇好少,只得2款,而每個set有3道菜,味道比較偏濃味,但就唔喺講得上鹹.........但番到屋企之後,我要勁飲水-餐廳環境比較幽暗feel,牆上有4幅畫同天花頂盞燈有d特色-服務其實唔錯,肥肥地個waiter好nice又好笑容.............放低每碟菜之後都會講: hope u'd like the food,但個經理嘅物體就扮自然咁比將單嚟(因佢應該好等我張枱用),事關我去完toilet出嚟,無幾耐,佢就隊咗張單比我,初時我以為友人在我去toilet嘅時間叫咗埋單,完來唔喺..........差,差,差............老友你唔喺茶餐廳呀~~~~~~-初段好似包場咁............估唔到過咗8.00pm,先慢慢旺起嚟.............到走嗰時,直頭喺full house

星期日一早入北潭涌「試路」,可以正式坐下吃東西時,雖說還是brunch time,但已是三時,人也餓得接近虛脫,立即吃點東西。這裡樓底高夠光猛,環境很不錯,想也不想就鑽了進來坐下。來個熱湯先,要了烤南瓜蘋果湯。濃濃的幾甜美,有鼠尾草的味道,佐以微暖的比得包,又飽又暖和;因為實在想吃多一點,主菜要了西冷牛,還有兩隻蛋,及煮薯仔,絕對豐富。索價90大洋的西冷扒,質數多少心中有數,但上桌的又要份量十足,大大塊又厚厚的,估計也不少於10安士。在爐上燒的,有燒烤香味。要了medium raw,外面全熟,切開裡面嫩紅,但沒有幾多血水,似乎是燒得熟了一點點。肉質不錯,牛肉味濃又不太韌,只用簡單的鹽及胡椒調味已很足夠。還有兩隻太陽蛋及用醬油煮的薯仔粒,飽足。想吃多一點,要了蘑菇作伴菜,幾款蘑菇用牛油及香草炒過,盛在一個小器皿中,好睇又好食。另外的Bizou Big Breakfast,是兩隻蛋、炸煙肉、芝士焗蕃茄及煮薯仔粒的組合,大堆頭,味道我想不會很差,但應該好不到那裡。雖然飽,但是日還有「配額」,就吃多個檸檬雪葩作甜品,加上一杯意大利泡沫咖啡,是滿足的一餐。幾位外籍侍應服務態度十分好,工作又快手,值得5分。賑不是我結的,下列是大概之數。不常來這些美式餐館吃,但是日吃過,感覺還不錯。

20070330週末晚上九點多,與兩個女性朋友在SOHO一帶遊走了半個鐘有餘,才算找到一間有位的Bistro Place,真是旺啊:)有$210的set dinner,湯/沙律+主菜+甜品,不過款色不是很啱我們當時的胃口,於是轉而散叫。餐前麵包是蒜蓉軟包,熱熱的很美味。先是飲品,Budweiser Beer (bottle), Stella Beer (bottle) 以及Apple Martini。前兩種都沒什麼好說,那杯Martini是我們貪得意叫的,朋友說甜甜啲都幾OK。Starter選的是Mozzerella Cheese Ball。剛好三粒,炸得金黃,放在點著油醋汁的羅馬生菜和紫椰菜上,後者中和了油炸與芝士的雙重膩感,只剩奶香盈口。主菜是西班牙海鮮飯,用一個帶手柄的小鍋端上來,很可愛的樣子,飯底比想像之中濕,鍋底有少少湯,除了青口、蜆、魷魚等配料之外,還有許多煮得爛爛的洋蔥,我本身甚怕此物,但這些已經完全軟糯,反而將絲絲縷縷的洋蔥香氣逼入飯中,似有還無,令海鮮飯的鮮香又加多了一重層次。另外叫了一份薯條,尺寸與麥記的類似,不過炸得更加幹身,咬起來感覺很特別,並不油膩。女孩子總是難抵甜品的誘惑,叫了兩種來share。一個是lime sorbet 配lime crème brule ,大膽嘗試的結果是無比的驚喜,酸甜的焦糖表面,酸而清香的內餡,有一點像麥維他的餅底,清涼勁酸的sorbet,一熱一冷,彼此交織,味覺旅程非常刺激。另一個是chocolate mud 配vanilla ice cream,香濃甜滑,口感豐腴,惜太甜了一點。總體來講,每一款菜式,從名字上看人人可為,但實際的味道卻都很有個性,屢出奇招。環境也還舒服,雖然沒有掛羊頭獵槍,去不知為什麼有一點西部的感覺,燈光暗暗的令人很放鬆,放鬆到最後有些打瞌睡:)唯一的不足是侍應人手太少,完全忙不過來,叫做什麼都很慢……
