聖誕又就快到,不少餐廳都推出了聖誕大餐,雖然不是每一間都有供應火雞,但卻少不免有一隻燒春雞作為慶祝的應節食物。位於堅尼地城的Bistro du Vin都在此時推出了聖誕大餐,除了燒春雞外,還將店內的招牌菜加進餐單內,食物款式非常豐富。 DUV的招牌拼盤總是百吃不厭,包括【Home-made Pork Pâté】、【Bayonne Ham】及【Duck Rillette】幾款,配上酸瓜蕎頭及新鮮麵包,已經令人滿足。當中的自家製豬手醬吃起來更有陣陣煙燻的香氣,夾在麵包一起吃,真是滋味。 【Pan Seared Hokkaido Scallops, Seaweed Butter】雖然簡單,但煎帶子的火喉卻很難掌握,稍一過火就會變硬,否則又可能會太生,以牛油煎得香口微焦才是出色。 同時,極為邪惡的【Escargot on Bone Marrow, Herb Butter】也送來了。滑溜溜的牛骨髓與爽口的田螺本是風馬牛不相及的食物拼在一起,卻有意想不到的美味,配以香噴噴的香草牛油,令人食指大動,同樣也是塗在麵包上的好拍檔。 久違了的【Bouillabaisse】終於出現,要說做得全城最好也不是笑話,與其用上飛機直送的海鮮,還不如用上每日新鮮從香港仔漁市場買來的本地海鮮,喝起來特別鮮甜,那份鮮度豈能是雪藏海鮮可比美,加上用料豐富,吃完海鮮已半飽了。 再來就是正式的主菜了,先是【Grilled Cote De Boeuf, Fries】,燒牛肋份量十足,會因人數而有所加減,燒得外焦內嫩,待店員拿回廚房切件後,更看見如櫻桃紅的肉色,伴隨著豐富香濃的肉汁,非常吸引。不過,薯條不知不覺間變成了主角,兩大盤薯條居然一下子被消滅了。 另一個主菜就是【Roasted Farm Chicken, Peas and Haricot Verts】,雞肉焗得非常嫩滑,雞皮還帶有焦香,好吃得令人停不了手,可是,這次的配角雖美,但始終也搶不了鏡。墊底的青豆吸收了焗雞的雞油,變得份外香甜惹味,只是烤雞無論在肉質及味道上也不能被青豆所搶去。 此時,在捧著肚子之下,大家也再次發揮第二個甜胃的本色下,將【Grand Marnier Soufflé, Vanilla Ice Cream】及【Dark Chocolate Fondant Vanilla Ice Cream】也消滅了,那種輕如無物的梳乎厘確是好吃,有陣陣的橙酒香,但卻一點也不甜膩,值得一吃。 這個聖誕大餐如此豐富,當然有一點限制,就是要六位以上才可點此餐,不過這點小兒課絕對難不到大家的為食之心的。 繼續閱讀

法式聖誕大餐 焦點食評

這晚來到位於西環堅尼地城的Bistro Du Vin吃聖誕大餐!走巴黎風格小酒館的Bistro Du Vin,氣氛輕鬆cozy,加上聖誕擺設,節日氣氛濃厚。Bistro Du Vin共推出3款聖誕限定套餐,每位$600至$800,6位起。另外亦可安排外送到會。過時過節當然要吃得豐盛點啦,我們這夜一於選了每位$800的聖誕套餐。開胃前菜先有Bistro Du Vin的招牌凍肉拼盤,一客有齊店方自家製豬肉醬、鴨肉醬和Bayonne ham,鹹鹹香香,伴酒一流!香煎北海道帶子配海帶牛油汁,一上枱已經聞得到牛油香。帶子嫩滑鮮甜,好吃。田螺焗牛骨髓,田螺吸取了骨髓的精華,邪惡但美味。接著是bouillabaisse,以本地新鮮海鮮炮製出來的法式海鮮湯。用料相當足,包括花蟹、大蝦、魚柳及蜆等,鮮味相當濃郁。飲完感到暖笠笠,真窩心~主菜分別燒牛肋配薯條及烤農場鮮雞配青豆,2款也做得很好。澳洲和牛牛肋燒得香氣誘人,肥瘦均勻。但更吸引我,就是烤農場鮮雞。原隻雞烤得皮脆而肉質嫩滑,舖在鍋底的青豆與紅蘿蔔盡吸雞油精華,還有烤蒜,這些配菜都與主角烤雞同樣出色。聖誕套餐包括2款甜品,分別是橙酒梳乎厘雲尼拿雪糕和黑朱古力心太軟。另外我們再額外加點Bistro Du Vin的「名物」新鮮烘製的madeleine馬德琳貝殻蛋糕。甜甜蜜蜜大滿足! 繼續閱讀

It rarely happens I would love every courses of a meal. It came to my surprise, i enjoyed all 3 courses here when they have quite a few choices available for every course. Went for Xmas lunch with some friends. Picked their burrata tomato salad as appetizer & oxtail pot main which is served smoking hot and the meat is softly cooked. Creme brulee is full of vanilla scent & creamy. If I were asked what I dislike about this place? The location! It's not an area i would normally visit and super far for me... Came here for a celebratory dinner for twelve people. We'd all been here before about a month ago and were attracted by the reasonably priced dishes and free corkage. However, the evening soon turned sour: 1. The chargrilled USDA ribeye was brought to our table and we asked for it to be cut up. 10 mins later, we were still waiting. When we asked about it, we found out our ribeye had gone to the table next door as they had been "waiting a long time".2. When the bill came, it was much more than we expected. We soon found out there was a $550 min charge and a $200 corkage per bottle! We had each brought one bottle of wine as we were told over the phone corkage was free up to one bottle per person. Even OpenRice says "free corkage and two wine glasses per person". Nothing was mentioned of the minimum charge at the time of booking nor of the $200 corkage. There is no notice of this anywhere in the restaurant, nor on the main entrance, nor on the menu. Nowhere in fact! When we asked the manager to show us, he was speechless and just said this was a new policy. 3. We raised this with the manager in English. It was clear what we said was going in one ear and out the other. So we switched to Cantonese. His response was "so I have made a mistake, what do you want me to do about it?" How on earth do you call this customer service?This is not a restaurant I will ever visit again nor one I will recommend to my friends. The manager is dishonest and does not care about repeat customers. Be warned! 繼續閱讀

Had lunch today at the bistro. The ox tails were way too underbraised. Meat was raw, tough and fatty. Utterly disappointing and has ruined a nice day. Any home cooks can do a better job. 繼續閱讀
