老實說簡易的早餐最離不開的就是吃麵包所以我們在住宅或是商業區總會見到最少有一間以上的麵包店不過麵包吃多了會不會覺得有點沉悶?!若果是的話,這篇介紹位於灣仔區的麵包店可能讓大家有新的想法。這間麵包店不止賣自家製麵包,更是一家烘焙 Cafe!而且還是由前四季酒店餅房行政總廚 Gregoire Michaud 開的喔上午10點左右的時間來到,已經看到了排隊的人龍 ...大約等了半小時就輪到我們入座~被安排在其中一張高枱這個位置實在太棒了!剛好可以看到麵包製作的一部份過程另外大概多外國人光顧的關係!? Menu是全英文的,店員也能說流利的英語Matcha latte ($52) - 抹茶的濃度比想像中高有很重的奶味,但不會太甜~而且口感幼滑。Avocado Toast ($108) 這個跟我平時吃開的不太一樣牛油果作了調味~帶酸讓牛油果的味道更豐富、清新配上Poached Eggs 濃郁的流心蛋黃更滋味喔!不過重點當然是炸得脆脆內軟的Sourdough ~~French Toast ($88) 有兩大片很軟熟的法式吐司配法式酸奶油、醃製過的莓和蜜糖一起吃,後尾稍微覺得甜了少許但吃完很飽很滿足喔!享用完早餐後,就到旁邊買麵包~ 選了 Brioche ($42) & Egg Tart ($12)前者的麵包外脆內軟,還有很重的牛油香!雖然是蛋撻,但甜甜的像葡撻一樣~蛋的部份很香且份量十足不是即買(出爐)即吃~但外層的酥皮仍然一點也不膩 繼續閱讀

朋友介紹呢間麵包鋪既包勁好食,又有堂食,所以今日放假特登過海一試星期六十一點黎到排隊,勁多人,已經有十個人喺前面排隊,以外國人為主。等左半個鐘有得入去。menu全部英文,連招待生都係講英文既因為係假期,所以無set。叫左一份avocado toast。好好食,勁多牛油果,好新鮮。上面既蛋整得好靚,好食。麵包又唔會太硬。另外叫左一份Cubano,類似飛碟。里面有芝士,豬肉,酸果等等。口感濃厚豐富。不過個人鐘意avocado toast多啲食完都未夠喉,另外再叫左個plain scone($18),加多$18有一份cream cheese,和一份士多啤梨醬。雖然$18兩份醬有啲貴,但絶對值得加。因為士多啤梨醬係佢地自己整既,好味過supermarkets 買既醬十分之多。Plain scone勁好食,好鬆化,好香。配埋啲醬勁好食。咖啡就中規中矩啦,咖啡味淡左小小,變相奶味勁左啲。所以下次會試下飲佢既americanoBakehouse真係勁好食,價錢唔係大眾化,但絶對值得食。必然再去!!!! 繼續閱讀

Sourdough Egg tart 同事睇開小紅書, 話灣仔呢間的蛋Tart很紅, 又講到是香港最好食的蛋Tart佢好奇之下買左幾個萬歲請我地食~~ 外觀與傳統有些不同, 比較高身同燶DD一咬入口, 佢吾係我地食開的酥皮或曲奇皮, 而係牛角包的皮, 牛角包的質感, 但尚算鬆化, 同時又有些嚼口, 重牛油味的. 相比傳統酥皮,佢吾會好豬油, 好膩的。因為攞住佢食, 隻手完全吾覺得油。裹面的靈魂蛋醬, 蛋香味正常, 夠甜, 可能我吾係熱辣辣食, 所以無驚喜。 性價比方面, 問左同事一個蛋tart 要HKD12,價格方面比較貴, 但都值得一試, 因為佢係牛角包皮的蛋tart, 新野 幾得意。   繼續閱讀

<Wanchai> Line ManiacThere are a couple restaurants in Wanchai you can guarantee a line outside, Samsen, Five Guys, and Bakehouse. Bakehouse wakes Wanchai up with its wide selection of bakery goods-- the breakfast here can be quite tempting, ranging from big calorie items like (all these bread I can’t name), croissants and Portuguese tarts. The Croissants are especially excellent. Rumor has it that the recipes are from Mandarin Oriental hotel bakery as the chef decided it’s time he/she does his/her own thing, but please don’t correct me if I am just making this up.To cool us down from the line on a Monday morning, we got ourselves some Iced Americano coffee, but generally speaking, it is lacking the aroma a really good coffee needs. From the window, the table arrangement looks horrible, I was playing mental Tetris that how I can fit more tables but make the place looks neater. And there are at least 8 people without food served at one point, implying to me that “Hey this line might be a convoluted scam”. After a good twenty minutes wait, we finally sat down, only to be informed that the breakfast serving time was up, and we could only ordered from the set lunch menu. I felt quite under-informed during the whole process, and more could definitely be done to please the crowd outside waiting. The waiting time was not short, and we were quite oblivious to the lunch menu arrangement, not to mention you cannot even order a-la carte items after sitting down. (Must choose from the 2-course menu) The food was okay, but the service could definitely be improved. At one point there was a couple halting a four people table, because they were waiting on a third person. They occupied the table for a good hour, and the third friend did not arrive until they finished their food, while people outside just waited in sweat. I feel like an easy arrangement could be for the restaurant to request all parties to be present upon entering the restaurant? Especially when you have such a small capacity. The turnover rate is so poor, and I am not too sure if that’s the vibe Bakehouse is opting for. (The server did collect our dishes super quick after we were almost done with our food though)Generally, I like lining up because of how much I love potential energy (quite mental really), but seeing poor arrangements like this leading to increased wait time can affect the mood quite a lot. To be honest, this restaurant did not leave a good after-taste, and I will not consider lining up again in the future. 事緣係睇左小紅書 📚,見到入面有人話紅爆香港既蛋撻店咁就滿心歡喜去試下。都幾易搵,灣仔地鐵站A3一出,向右行,見到和昌大押再過馬路,見到聪嫂甜品既對面就搵到。佢有分堂食同外賣,堂食因為係放LUNCH 時間好多人。咁我就決定買6個sourdough egg tart 分比同事食下,都唔便宜港幣12 元一個賣相還可以,不過好燶,可能有人會話係特色,不過當日我買個一批係燶到整個撻既底部都係黑色。食落濃濃蛋香,有陣煉奶味,蛋撻皮都幾酥,特別在係用牛角包皮,熱食更好味,似葡撻多點🎈老實講,有點名過於實,可能KFC 莆撻仲好食過佢,不過各有特色,一試無防。 繼續閱讀
