上一次上山頂廣場是去年聖誕節正日,參觀完《大富翁夢想世界》,跟住就去地獄廚神 Gordon Ramsay 相對較為價錢親民的「Bread Street Kitchen & Bar」朝聖;點知將食評擱置下來之後,Gordon 突然在今年4月1日將香港三間餐廳全部結業,將業務撤出香港(只剩下機場內的快餐 counter 「Plane Food to Go」繼續營運,可能是剛簽了租約?),食評被迫永久擱置。今次再上山頂廣場專程光顧「37 Steakhouse」,要快點交食評了 ⋯⋯「37 Steakhouse」總店在東京六本木,雖然唔知道香港分店是直營海外分店抑或只是特許經營,但既然總店位於日本最時尚地區,裝修風格當然時尚有品味。未去過六本木總店,冇得比較,但香港分店的裝修已很時尚。進入餐廳門口,正中間就是一個大型酒吧,餐廳左手邊是輕食及酒吧區,再往內走就是用餐區。走進用餐區前,映入眼簾是一個顏色鮮艷的紅色牛頭,開宗明義「37 Steakhouse」是一間扒房。裝修的選材用料唔係金碧輝煌、或者甚麼高級雲石,但設計就年輕、trendy,尤其是幾盞吊燈,採用了一大堆黃銅色金屬吊牌組合而成,顏色配搭與餐廳的木枱及木皮假天花同一色系,時尚有型。再往內走到盡頭,就是山頂廣場凌霄閣的最外圍。落地玻璃外面就是維多利亞港,兩岸景緻一覧無遺,無論白天或晚上皆是「37 Steakhouse」的最搶手用餐位置。因為疫情關係,加上較早前的其他社會因素,對餐廳生意額及商場人流實在有相當大的影響,商場大業主推出了消費優惠券,算是意料之外的小驚喜。有一個六道菜套餐似乎相當吸引,但只限星期一至星期五,今日沒有供應。同很多其他餐廳一樣,週末週日也沒有其他午市套餐選擇,最後只可以a-la-carte。既然是高級扒房,只有一頁的餐牌的正中央位置當然推介各款不同產地的高級牛扒,包括美國特級安格斯、乾式熟成牛扒、日本A5和牛及澳洲M9+和牛。美國prime安格斯在其他扒房也非常普遍;至於日本和牛,又並非名氣產地;決定揀澳洲M9+和牛。有幾個不同部位可供選擇,始終覺得肉眼是牛扒中最好味的部位,肉質既鬆軟、又有肉味,揀了澳洲 M9+ 和牛肉眼(300g)($388)。麵包籃質素麻麻地。雖然一款是全麥、一款是小麥,但兩款口味都是硬皮法式麵包,款式單調,欠缺了軟綿綿及脆身的麵包款式。另外,雖然自家每日新鮮焗製,但竟然全部凍冰冰,可能因為客人實在少了很多,去貨太慢,未能做到即時出爐、暖笠笠的新鮮麵包。澳洲 M9+ 和牛肉眼(300g)($388)並非厚切;其實以這個重量,可以切得厚身一點,觀感會更為優勝。不過,高級扒房就肯定有一個優點,牛扒處理得非常好,為了提升牛扒質素,捨得切走下欄,所有多餘的脂肪、筋膜去除得非常徹底⋯⋯當然,索價就要買貴一些了!共有五款醬汁,揀了凍黑椒汁。所謂「凍」,並非凍冰冰,只是室溫而已;但唔知點解要用室溫黑椒汁?五成熟的牛扒火喉控制得非常好,表面烤得焦香脆身,肉心呈粉紅色;而且預留了充足的resting,牛扒吸回肉汁,沒有流出血水。不愧澳洲 M9+ 和牛,作為澳洲和牛的最高等級,肉眼已經可以見到粉紅色牛肉纖維之間夾雜着雪花脂肪細紋。口中細嚐,肉味香濃、油花滲滿口腔、肉質柔軟鬆化,很難忍得住口,可以與日本A4級或以上的和牛媲美。西班牙紅蝦當然非常出名,相信意大利出產的也應該有相當質素,所以要了意大利紅蝦扁意大利麵($258)。份量比預期中還要少,只有兩隻小型意大利紅蝦,扁意大利麵的份量同樣少得可憐。淡番茄汁味道一般,扁意大利麵同樣麻麻地,口感偏硬,雖然有咬口,卻欠缺彈性,並非 al dente,唔似係自家製意大利麵。已經去殻的意大利紅蝦表面略為煎香,五成熟左右,肉質軟身,似甜蝦;味道的確鮮甜,但又唔覺得蝦味特別濃郁。與傳說中體型巨大、肉質爽口彈牙,與被喻為海蝦中的極品西班牙紅蝦的質素有差距。不過,蝦頭內的蝦膏份量多,蝦香濃郁,總算有點值回票價。招牌和牛漢堡($208)有別於傳統美式漢堡包,餡料除了大大塊和牛漢堡扒之外,就只有一塊生菜葉、半溶化了的芝士及少量醬汁,並沒有蕃茄、醃青瓜、厚厚醬汁,可能廚師唔想掩蓋了和牛漢堡扒的油香。牛味濃、入口充滿油香,與安格斯牛肉漢堡的肉香滿瀉、有咬口、充滿肉汁是兩種不同的口味,但同樣美味。地理位置好、又有靚景,再加上優質食材,價錢當然不會便宜;但正正因為靚景及優質食材這兩個因素,已經值得光顧。 繼續閱讀

I have had a terrible eating experience dining at your 37 Steakhouse and bar at the peak, me and my five year old child, for a lunch on Oct 17, 2020.Being guided to a table seated, I was asked if I would like still or sparkling water, I didnt think much and I said sparkling for myself and still for my child.I was served two glasses of water, one still one sparkling. Then I was astonished to learn that what the waitor asked me previously was indeed a bottle, not a glass, size-wise, but it then ended up two bottles resting on the table.I definitely wouldn't be able to finish two bottles of water, an adult and a child, and I ended up carrying the leftover with me for the rest of my trip at the Peak.What I was suggesting here was the lack of concern and awareness performed by the staff member as a serving waitor. He should have had asked, not assuming everyone should know the genre.It was the first time I am eating at this restaurant as there is obviously not quite so many choices offered at the peak. Not to mention the poorly cooked and without signature Bolognese costing HK238 plus 10, the eating experience at 37 Steakhouse was a complete disaster. 繼續閱讀

Very disappointed dinner which I have booked a month in advance for wife's birthday. I have asked for a window seat, but wasn't available. We got offer a seat near the window area, however given the extremely low AC temperature. The windows was all fogged up and cannot see anything outside. The menu item was over priced and the portion was very stingy. I would strongly advise not to ordering the signature salad as it was very disappointing. We had the Aussie M5 wagyu 300g, which was okay but doesn't stand out from any other resturant. The crab meat uni rissoto was decent but portion was very small. The waiter was the best at the resturant as his service was great and recommended to download the food story app to get 200 dollar off. The bathroom was extremely disgusting with only one bathroom for both woman and men to share, and the hygiene was terrible. Overall, would not recommend this resturant and this is definitely not a high end steak house for what the picture shows. 繼續閱讀

星期五夜晚想食牛扒, 專程揸車上咗山頂, 其實選擇唔多, 所以嚟咗呢一間餐廳試下, 我哋叫咗牛扒、牛扒漢堡和魚, 配菜叫咗個炸甜蕃薯條。 呢度個環境ok, 風景優美, 不過食物質素真係一般, 澳洲M5肉眼扒 都還可以, 不過份量偏細, 其他菜色完全冇特別, 餐包偏硬, 條魚冇味, 畀依個價錢完全唔值。 服務質素也只是一般中低級的餐廳水平, 真是有點失望。 繼續閱讀

We went for a dinner to this place after having heard and read really good reviews.Sadly, our experience was everything but great. We ordered 2x Chuck Tail Flap, 1x Sirloin and mashed potatoes with egg and truffle for our mains - all in medium rare - as well as "Creamy" Burrata and Chopped Salad for starters. The so called "creamy" burrata was everything but creamy. First, it was TINY (1/2 of a standard mozarella ball), second, had no flavour or soft core. Absolute waste of money. Chopped salad was mainly rocket with some random other items (I found 1 tiny slice of salami - not sure if intended or not) and quite frankly, it was just so plain.On to the mains.Out of 3 steaks we had to return 2. The sirloin had a great cut but was overcooked. One of the chuck flaps was perfect in cut and cooking time - and absolutely delicious steak, very tender and great flavour. The second one had an awful cut (huge tendon) and was overcooked, too. So we returned these. When the new sirloin came out again, it had at least a 30% fat rim and some weird piece of fat/meat hanging off the main piece. Was very close to sending this back again but it was almost 9pm and I just really wanted to eat.The second round of the Chuck Flap was fine. All sauces were disappointing, however the pepper sauce still acceptable. Mashed potatoes with soft boiled egg and truffle cream was really the only dish that was truly enjoyable. Our red wine was also great. For the money we spent it really wasn't a great experience but the staff have been extremely nice and professional. Seems like the chef was in a bad mood and the kitchen manager trying to cut costs serving the awful starters. 繼續閱讀
