With all of these coming in bitesize portions, you’d be able to try a handful of Aaron’s creations in one go—perfect for those who tend to feel tempted to order nearly everything off a menu. Ambience is casual and staff reasonably attentive. Most guests sit around a bar in a square, but for those looking for more privacy and comfort, there's limited seating facing the street and a couple other small tables inside. I’d definitely recommend 22 Ships for a chilled evening in good company.

Bursting with flavor and well seasoned. A good, chilled beef tartare is so much better than cooked beef. A dry rosé would have been the perfect accompaniment. Oh, and the thin slices of crispy bread were definitely a highlight.

Wonderfully supple fish underneath a crisp skin. We requested the XO dressing on the side, however, as we weren’t entirely sure we’d like it. The sea bass turned out perfectly fine without.

A twin of truly babyish chicken legs. Again, tender meat paired with crispy skin and with a slather of cooked chorizo and oil this was pretty good.

聽講呢間西班牙菜色香味俱全,今日就來試下距啦。呢度噶臺同凳都比較細,唔系好適合太多人噶聚會,但系同一二個friends一起過來就幾合適了。我地兩個人,點左好評好高噶松露鵪鶉蛋士多和西班牙燒豬。松露鵪鶉蛋士多中間夾了火腿和芝士。火腿煎得剛剛好,很脆,芝士不會太多,配合住火腿,再加埋松露,口感就超級豐富了。西班牙燒豬外脆裡嫩,但系可能因為同我地噶有滴唔同,所以唔系食得好慣。總體來講店面噶環境、氣氛唔錯,食物都幾好。

某日富貴lunch (其實不算很富貴 只是兩條腿較節儉😛)去了這間吧 環境同平常見到的酒吧差不多 我倆選了高枱 唔知食物如何呢紅菜頭羊奶芝士沙律紅菜頭十分有益 有淡淡的甜味羊奶芝士頗騷 還有帶有苦味的火箭菜好不好吃就見仁見智焗八爪魚片 醬汁有薑蒜和不知名香草🐙🐙🙄🙄🙄味道正常 但未見特別 而且小小的一碟 不能當正餐吧手打burger拌醃青瓜小小的一個 牛肉都蠻juicy算係三款食品最好吃的其實食完唔可以話餓 (注意我們是兩個女生) 但冇乜滿足感 咁就四百幾蚊 都幾貴🙄🙄🙄

When I walked in, OOps....how come there were merely any customers except only one table of two. But since we were already inside, we just gave it a try.


We sat at the bar table and the waiter introduced that their food was tapas. I looked at the menu and wondered if it was true that one seafood tapas dish could cost more that $100 which was of similar price to the pizza opposite.

But since I love seafood, I ordered octopus and my friend ordered jamon croquettes.

Of course, we also ordered beer but it was unreasonably pricy. $80 for a small Czech bottle beer!
This is already one of the most economic choices in the drink menu. Even a bar in lan kwai fong won't charge this price for a 30cl bottle of beer.


Here they comes.. jamon croquettes....that I can bearly taste any spanish ham inside. It is nothing more than just well decored deep fried cheesy maionaise

And for the octopus ?! Besides salty, it's just salty. No freshness taste. No other seasoning flavors. The octopus has no octopus taste and perhaps overcooked or too old. More importantly, we got only a handful of pieces in our dish.. close to 100gr that worth close to $130.

This restaurant does not have any service charge. But it is too expensive for both quality and quantity of the servings. We just ordered these three things which already costed us almost $300....for nothing more than just substandard snacks.


In the end, I was still hungry. We were quite mad. I just ended up having a cup noodle at home.

Went for dinner on a Friday evening. Food was actually decent and live up to the reputation. The manager however really needs to show that he actually cares about the customers. Quality of food really let down by the appalling attitude of the manager..😫😖😩

Went there on a raining day for quick bits and drinks. Tried the gin mare tonic and a few different kinds of signature dishes. Started with roasted padron peppers, so so only as it is a bit oily. Then, ordered king salmon tartare to try, very fresh. Scallop cevichi is ok but no surprise. Also, ordered grilled octopus, tasty but a bit dry. The best dish is beef tartar and strawberry toasted marshmallows and Chantilly. Since the dishes are small in portion like tapas, so you’ll end up order

I echo the sentiment of the previous two reviewers and warn other diners to avoid this place.  I have been here a dozen times consistently over the past four years, I have dined at Jason Atherton's many restaurants in London over the past 15yrs, this must be the first truly terrible experience.  Arrived at five minutes past 7pm, the place was just open and practically empty - one sole diner sitting at the counter and a few more at the tables around.  I've already told the Philippino waitress we're just having a glass and nibble, she sat us towards to back of the counter.  I wanted to sit at the corner so that I could talk to my guest but she refused point blank, saying seats MUST be taken two by two.  I then asked the manager to sit us around the corner but he gave exactly the same answer.  What if i move when other people arrive?  "No, we have sat other people there before and they refused to move".  What if I promise to move as I am not "other people"?  No, you MUST sit where you are.   Oh well, that's a great example of zero hospitality and customer is definitely NOT right at 22 Ships.  Later three people showed up and they were sitting around the other corner,  and we sat side-by-side for the entire 45minutes with no other addition at the counter, the sole diner left already.   To say I am "p*ssed off" is a gross understatement.  No amount of food and wine can compensate the feeling of feeling unwelcome - and the food was not as good as before.  Never again.  Avoid.

Food was good EXCEPT the iberico ham which tasted really really bad, just like it’s sliced, exposed to the air and stored for quite some time (油益味). 🤮🤮🤮. Service was terrible here, the Philippine waiter and waitress kept asking me what food to order while I was having a drink with my friend. They tried to move us to other seats next to the road just because we haven’t ordered the f

Ate at 22 Ships this evening.  I've been there 25 times, and count on it for good fun in a fun environment.   Tonight was a true disappointment.  The crispy squid was so dry and tough that we didn't finish it.   And then my all time favorite dish - the baby chicken - was also way overcooked and dry.   I'm not even sure how you can make the dark meat of chicken that dry.  It was like overcooked chicken breast in its taste and texture.  And, to make it worse, the portion size has been significantl

Ate at 22 Ships this evening.  I've been there 25 times, and count on it for good fun in a fun environment.   Tonight was a true disappointment.  
The crispy squid was so dry and tough that we didn't finish it.   And then my all time favorite dish - the baby chicken - was also way overcooked and dry.   I'm not even sure how you can make the dark meat of chicken that dry.  It was like overcooked chicken breast in its taste and texture.  And, to make it worse, the portion size has been significantly reduced to include only two small chicken thigh/leg pieces.   This is really sad, as this is something I've ordered and enjoyed many times.  
Then, to make a bad experience worse, the waitstaff gave us "last call" at 9:15, and made us order desserts at that time, even though we had just received our main courses.    The food was HK$1200 for two people without alcohol.  I expect a lot more quality for that type of expense.

to my surprise, the food tastes really good given the price is not extravagant and the restaurant is cozy...you may argue the portion there, in general, is rather small...but it is really nice to order 6-7 dishes and share with 2-3 people. I can tell some of the dishes should be awarded one Michelin star .oh, almost forget , the tuna tartare should be either cheaper or have a bigger portion.

The last time I was here was when this place just opened and I was impressed. My 3rd time here today and it is a reflection on how competitive the Hong Kong restaurant scene is. That there’s not enough years in my human life to revisit one place too often. Too many new things to try and by the time you circle back to the places you like, the landlords have probably killed them. BUT 22 Ships still stand so they’re doing something right at this cute little Wanchai area!Love the Jamón Manchego & Tr

Love the Jamón Manchego & Truffle Toasties with quail eggs - a luxury ham & cheese. Perfect for the weekend brunch mood.


The chefs are consistent on delivering quality dishes, service are friendly and the vibes is always good at the tight space countertop. You’ll constantly elbow the person next to you and you would wish he’s hot and single so you could eventually poke at each other’s dishes after a few more “Oh, sorry. Excuse me for touching you again.” Then eventually fall on him as you excuse yourself to the bathroom because you short legs are cramping from dangling for too long on the bar chair.
