I visited the restaurant with my family a little after 7pm on Saturday evening. Fortunately there were still some seats left, and even while we were eating, 3-4 more groups came and sat in without having to wait.
Clean atmosphere, with the necessary 'order' and 'check-out' bells so that you don't have to shout across the room for service.
It wasn't our first time, and the staff recognized us, not that there was any free food or anything, but the feeling was nice. And that's what I mean by Korean service, because like other countries in Asia, networking goes a far way, even when visiting restaurants.
The staff are pretty fluent with the menu, so even when we ordered in Korean they seemed to understand.
In terms of food, to have some bbq-ed meat is a must for korean food! Especially enjoyed the sirloin steak, marinated ribs, and pork neck. Then we ordered seafood fried pancake on the side with seafood noodles. A sturdy dinner for 4. They also do take out, so we ordered a spicy tofu soup to go for my brother who couldn't make it that day.
Nothing in the menu you could go wrong with, except I tried the 'goong joong' rice cakes (soy sauce, nonspicy rice cakes), and they were disappointing. I'd say definitely go for the main soup/hot pot choices and bbq items, but have a little reservation for the side menu items.
