Shun Hing is a really famous restaurant in Tai Hang, with their signature egg dishes. Early dismissal on Christmas Eve allowed me to try Shun Hing out, as Shun Hing closes early at 4pm, and is always so crowded during weekend. I arrived at 3pm and there was still a queue outside the restaurant! So be prepared to line up!The pineapple bun with smooth scrambled egg I came for was sold out So I got this Shrimp & Egg Rice indeed, and it’s so good too! The smooth scrambled egg definitely lived up its fame, so smooth with heavy egg flavor! There was generous amount of shrimps as you can see, and they were very fresh and meaty! 呢間係大坑既茶餐廳係好舊式既茶餐廳營業時間係7am-4pm到左3點幾廚房水吧就開始cut單😆😆😆😆3點半左右就埋數 叫客人埋左張單先hahaha!睇黎準時4點就會搵閘走人~咁既生活都唔錯 4點就可以準時收工!講返野食 見餐牌有一半都係滑蛋 而我又想食健康啲就揀左滑蛋蝦仁飯!!賣相都幾唔錯蛋就固然滑!蝦仁仍都夠爽 唔錯唔錯雖然係啲舊式茶記 但呢間既服務態度都算唔錯~如果佢用少啲即棄餐具咁就好喇!!🥰🥰 繼續閱讀

Was really tempted by the pineapple bun with scrambled eggs and butter so I got up early and went all the way to Tai Hang. It was already full when I got there but luckily I was seated after around 10 minutes. Not too bad considered it’s such a popular spot in the neighbourhood. We ordered a pineapple bun with scrambled eggs and butter, toasts with condensed milk and peanut butter and a hot milk tea. Service was pretty efficient even though there was only one lady to take orders and serve food. Be prepared to be told off sometimes as she can be easily agitated depending on how busy the restaurant gets. The pineapple bun was served hot, with scrambled eggs fried to half cooked, fluffy and moist. The melted butter added extra fattiness and saltiness to the bun which was pretty enjoyable. It was nicely executed but there was too much going on and I will probably stick to pineapple buns with butter from now on. The toast was crispy outside and the combination of peanut butter and condensed milk was simply delicious. Their tea in milk tea was quite a robust one while not too overpowering. It was still pretty hot by the time I finished it, which is a big plus. Overall a great local breakfast place with food done right. Will go back again if I’m in the area. 繼續閱讀

講真 天后附近真係多好西食既行入小小既大坑都唔例外lol 各色各樣既餐廳都會搵到而今次來到呢間 順興車仔面 主打既竟然唔係車仔麵 而係滑蛋叉燒飯系列🤭係咪真係咁吸引先 試試先😯😯賣相真係一流既 招牌滑蛋叉燒飯 佢用嘅唔係普通嘅雞蛋應該係選用日本嘅雞蛋 因為個雞蛋真係好香滑 反而個叉燒冇乜特別 食落唔錯 🈶️口感 層次分明性價比$50來講都唔錯嘅每逢lunch time呢度一定好多人排隊想食嘅朋友記得早啲去排隊啦 🤗🤗🤗 繼續閱讀

In Tai Hang, there are basically two very popular places to eat. One of them is 順興車仔麵大牌檔. Long queues are often found here. But service is fast and people are out the door quickly. They are so popular, that this is actually an extension of their original shop. The original shop is across the street and is a dai pai dong. This one is an indoor restaurant with air conditioning. But the same food is served as they share the same kitchen.Though named after cart noodles, people here only order two items. Menu is in Chinese only. There is no 10% service charge. The menu is also written on the wall unless you want cart noodle where you check off what you want on a piece of paper.The first one is this: prawn with eggs over rice ($62).  It came with their signature sweet soy sauce infused with spring onions served in a small cup. The soft and fluffy. The prawn were big and firm. All went well with the rice.The other one is char siu with eggs over rice ($50). Again the sauce was served on the side. There was so much char siu! The char siu was not too fat but very sweet and savory.Probably one of the best scrambled eggs over rice on Hong Kong island. May not be dirt cheap but portions are generous and very good. 繼續閱讀
