五一小假期,正是和友人飯聚好時機。今晚試試泰國過江龍名店-blue elephant.這家餐廳裝潢型格,窗外又有海景點綴,氣氛一流。泰式什錦沙嗲$98合共有6串,分別有雞、牛同豬。每一串都燒得香口juicy, 而沙嗲汁十分惹味唔辣,味道唔錯.蝦醬通菜$75通菜十分嫩口,蝦醬唔會過鹹,味道唔突出但幾好食慢煮烤排骨(甜梅子汁)$138排骨有五件,味道酸甜帶點焦香,肉質結實有口感之餘又有肉汁,加上表面的蜜味醬汁,又真係幾好食噃!青咖喱雞配炒飯$98青咖喱唔多辣夠香,,咖哩味濃厚,雞肉不是那麼嫩滑但可接受;炒飯卻出奇地成了主角,味道突出又香口,唔覺油膩又隱隱約約有香草香。黑胡椒泰式大蝦$268這道菜的份量少得可憐,上枱時只見細細碟-兩隻蝦,碟子只有半手掌大少少。但是味道又真的不錯!酸酸甜甜帶著黑胡椒的香,蝦肉幾彈牙,送飯一流。青咖喱雞$168份量又是非常少!只有一小盅,雞肉廖廖可數(盅是平曰飲餐湯的小盅)。想不到主菜的份量是好像小食一般。這道菜我們要另配烤餅配青咖喱。燒大蝦炒金邊粉$148大蝦大大隻有炭香,啖啖肉,同剛才吃的泰式大蝦味道節然不同;金邊粉配料唔少,味道甜甜地帶少少鑊氣,十分討人喜歡。總結:中價定位,有美景相伴,座位舒適,食物味道也幾細緻,唯多次叫待應加水,也沒有回應,也攪到我們坐錯枱,服務有待改善。這可算是傾下吃下飯嘆海景的好地方。 繼續閱讀

I finally got the chance to visit one of the newcomers to the local dining scene this weekend. Located in the Gateway Arcade of the bustling Harbour City, Blue Elephant Thai Brasserie is a modern Thai restaurant that has been very dedicated to promote Thai cuisine internationally. They already have a lot of overseas presence including London, Paris, Brussels and Copenhagen; and obviously they have no plans of slowing down. Apart from this business arm which offers their brand of Thai cuisine with a contemporary twist, they are also pretty strong with their cooking school and catering services.Their exquisite interior design was a very impressive start and I was hoping that their East-Meets-West food menu could deliver the same pleasant surprise.While I was waiting for my food to arrive, I took some time to check out the venue which was huge!There's a dining area hidden at the back with a partial harbour view.Stir fried baby cabbage with fried shrimps and fish sauce ($78) - The baby cabbage was nice and crisp and I like the fact that they were not oily or over-seasoned like we've seen from some Thai restaurants. Not bad (Grade: 3/5).Crispy garlic soft shell crab ($88) - Despite the less-than-attractive presentation, this was pretty tasty. The soft shell crab was deep fried with garlic, mixed herbs and served with a mildly spicy tamarind dipping sauce on the side (Grade: 3.5/5).Stir fried rice noodle with pork neck and vegetable ($138) - They have a fairly good stir-fried rice noodle too with just enough oil to make it mighty tasty yet not enough to be overly greasy. The "wok air" (鑊氣) was not bad so presumably it was fried under pretty high heat (Grade: 3.5/5).Thai Brasserie spare ribs ($138) - This came in a small package (4 pieces) so the three of us had to literally fight for that extra piece.I thought these were very tender and juicy (Some might think it's a little too sweet but that's okay with me.). Looks like the marinated pork ribs were first slow-cooked before finishing on the grill. That should help to explain why the ribs were slightly crunchy outside but the flesh remained soft and moist inside. Love the sweet and spicy flavors from the Thai-style plum sauce providing the ribs something extra to work with. Very nice (Grade: 4/5).Blue Elephant has been fairly aggressive in expanding its territories over the past few years. I have seen them in a number of food festivals and also in pop-ups such as Commune A7 in Taipei most recently. And judging from what we tried at lunch today, they've got a nice restaurant here in Hong Kong offering some very good modern Thai dishes. 繼續閱讀

Blue Elephant喺泰國幾出名除咗市面出啲調味製品之外仲有廚藝學校最近佢喺尖沙咀海港城開咗香港第一間分店開業大概一個月步入餐廳都仲有一陣少少裝修嘅味道不過環境的確幾雅致今次黎係食午餐有lunch set提供 價錢大概$138至$168午餐黎講都算幾貴午餐包沙律或湯+主菜+飲品我哋叫咗兩個lunch set一個係蝦醬海鮮炒飯另一個係泰式什菜炒金邊粉試晒午餐包嘅沙律同湯各一唔好睇少個餐湯好有驚喜 湯係西餐番茄湯超級濃郁嘅蕃茄 飲得出係用新鮮蕃茄整沙律就辣辣地 好開胃蝦醬海鮮炒飯 普通正常蝦醬味唔算好重泰式什菜炒金邊粉什菜多過金邊粉好多只食菜多個食粉平時食嘅金邊粉通常都係甜甜地嘅味但估唔到依個幾辣下我哋仲叫咗其他小食試吓有串燒丶泰式魚餅同埋蝦醬炒通菜串燒幾好味 特別係牛肉串好香嘅牛味 肉質唔會好老泰式魚餅味道都唔錯同一般嘅魚餅口感有啲唔同 幾特別 值得一試環境氣氛: ★★★★★食物質素: ★★★★☆服務態度: ★★★★☆ 繼續閱讀

泰國過江龍進佔海港城,慕名而來試一試環境都已藍色為主,用的木同餐具都好有泰國feel,加上有個海景,環境很不錯!由於係泰國餐廳過黎香港開分店,對佢的食物期望都幾高假日黎到有lunch set,唔算貴,其實幾抵食,$238有前菜、湯、幾款主菜,仲有甜品。一次過可以試好多樣食物,每款份量唔多,幾啱鐘意一餐試多啲唔同食物的朋友。前菜每樣一少份,整得幾靚,個三文魚波完全冇咖哩味,亦冇芝士味,只有淡淡煙三文魚香,口感唔錯但只有咸味,食唔出青咖哩蟹肉。酥炸雞卷完全唔脆,有啲似腐皮感覺,配冇得輸的泰式酸辣醬,點整都會好味。個肉碎沙律好一般,少辣但好普通。冬陰公湯完全係失望,夠辣但唔夠酸味,完全唔係傳統冬陰公味,似一般辣湯,一啲都唔好味。3樣主菜反而幾出色。青咖哩牛鍵肉係驚喜,牛鍵肉煮得好淋,有口感但唔會太韌,青咖哩好香椰汁味,辣度適中,啱哂配飯一齊食。炒露荀及雜菌幾好食,但只屬好普通的菜式。脆皮鱸魚亦係另一亮點,好脆身,個魚好香,酸甜汁似咕嚕肉個隻汁,好香口,非常好食!另外散叫左幾樣菜,包括雜錦沙爹串燒。以一個高身籃上菜,夠哂吸晴。沙爹唔太辣,花生味濃,串燒質素唔錯尤其是牛,好有肉汁,又唔會韌,夠juicy,好味!Pad thai 係其中一樣泰菜signature, 可惜又係一個失望,金邊粉冇乜味,就算撈左花生同辣椒都係唔夠味,隻大蝦完全冇鮮味,肉唔爽口,唯一係炸左的乾蝦好香口,但整體很差。蝦醬通菜冇蝦醬味...只得蒜味,其實係蒜蓉炒通菜多啲囉...跟餐甜品絕冇馬虎,好靚,雖然只係奶凍但擺碟都有心思,值得一贊。奶凍甜度剛好,有椰汁味帶少少芒果味,隔離舖左芒果粒同椰汁糕粒,都好好味。芒果超甜,但絕對係新鮮既果甜,唔係浸完糖水個種!最後係特意散叫的芒果糯米飯,相機表示超級好味呀!擺得勁靚,4個糯米球下面舖左一塊芒果,上面有芒果醬同椰汁醬,超吸晴。食落都勁好味,紫米勁有口感,佢加左椰汁食落勁有芒果紫米露feel!個椰汁糯米飯勁香椰汁味配埋芒果簡直係一流!真係超好食,強烈推介! 繼續閱讀

同朋友來晚飯,這間餐廳在泰國很出名。一入座,發覺連枱面都未抺好,還有杯茶漬。未點野食,先叫野飲。cocktail 都是自創的名字,完全唔知入面有咩,小心中伏。點野食,食物質素ok,未見真係咁好食。 蝦餅,三塊切一半有6件,唔彈牙,加入左好重香料味。冬陰功蝦湯,唔酸唔辣,有飲到蝦味。芒果蟹肉沙律,唔覺有芒果,不過有青木瓜咖哩雞,淡!個汁好稀炒金邊粉,好甜⋯ 點解唔係咸的?炒通菜,正常的炒菜香港比佢好又平過佢的泰國餐廳有很多。唯一好處位於尖沙咀商場坐得舒服又冇限時吹人走。4個人食左千幾蚊係唔抵食。 繼續閱讀
