聯華茶餐廳 (English name: Luen Wah Cafe) is like any other  old school cha chan teng. Not trendy looking and usually filled with diners that don't really speak much. But on the front of the restaurant were several photos from magazines saying they had the best baked pork chop rice in town. Well ... I had to find out if this was true.Menu is in Chinese only. It seemed they served everything! As it's one of those really old school cha chan tengs, there are no photos on the menu and it's on the table or tacked onto the wall. There is also no 10% service charge.Boyfriend ordered from the afternoon tea set menu. This is the deep fried fish with fries ($44). A very large piece of fish was placed in front of him. It was delicious. The fries were crispy and hot. The fish was cooked perfectly with a nice crunchy coating.I had the baked pork chop rice ($63). This came with a bowl of Chinese soup made up of pork bones, carrot and Buddha fist. Sweet and not that much MSG.Then the reason I came here. The baked pork chop rice. It was served in a metal dish. Size was fairly generous. The tomato sauce was very sweet. It was definitely old school as there were not  bits of pineapple of bell peppers. And no cheese. It was just tomato sauce with pork chop over rice.The rice was fried. This is a treat as a lot of places don't fry the rice any longer.The pork chop was excelllent.  It was pre-cut so there was no need for a knife. It was not only coated and fried so it was still crispy but it was cooked perfectly.  Not dried out and still tender. Definitely one the best baked pork chop rice around. It reminded me of the ones my mother used to make.A really nice little find for that real retro feel. Unsure if I'd be back but I'm glad I found this place. 繼續閱讀

📍聯華茶餐廳 @ 西營盤ღ 焗豬扒飯 $63呢間嘅焗豬真係不得了!一上檯已經聞到好香番茄醬味😍紅蘿蔔番茄呢啲配料全部都好淋 豬扒屬於偏厚實型 但係肉質好鬆軟一啲都唔韌番茄醬鹹鹹酸酸 撈埋個炒底非常夾!佢個蛋炒飯就算齋食都好夠味 食得出個鑊氣啊🤓不過食到最後仲有好多醬嘅時候都係稍為偏鹹🤣回頭指數😼4/5(又係街坊必食茶記(//∇//) 繼續閱讀

焗豬扒飯味道算不錯即叫即做,等咗15分鐘用鐵兜焗已經是買少見少羅宋湯真係幾好飲,下次外賣真係要老闆俾多個個早餐CP值真係高,仲有菠蘿油奶茶唔錯疫情下,值得支持👍🏻 繼續閱讀

等了若20分鐘,一捧出來, 就嗅到有焦香雖然一迅即散,但我仍對它滿心期待其實在於我個人而言,焗豬扒飯的醬汁沒有芝士已有點扣分,再加上這醬汁不甜不酸,沒茄味,只有數塊沒有茄味的茄件和紅蘿蔔充撐場面,所以醬汁部分可以忽略。豬扒是吉烈豬扒, 有層麵包糠的炸衣,應該是碟頭飯-吉列豬扒飯那邊搬過來,一開頭的2-3 口也感到脆口, 應該因為有被焗爐焗脆,但再吃下去,就只感到又淋又厚的粉團,因為它的粉確實上得不少,再加上被醬汁浸軟了。豬扒雖是厚實, 不柴不嚡, 但有欠肉味, 也不鬆軟。至於我最期待的炒飯底, 也令我大跌眼鏡,飯跟坊間一般焗飯一樣,也是太濕偏淋, 飯也是用一些平價米,無飯香之餘, 更是碎濕濕的, 雖然也看到明顯蛋絲,但蛋味也不足,也沒鑊氣雖然有捧上一碗沒有牛肉的羅宋湯, 以61元之價,吃這個質數的焗豬扒飯, 性價比太低了, 所以不值得推薦。 繼續閱讀

Lunch time搵嘢食😜想食好嘢對自己好d 誤打誤撞入左一間好復古的老店好有舊式香港感覺叫左個午餐B 計埋飲品$55價錢係西環食 算係中下味道正常 但係食風味如果lunch time再長時間 真係會想再坐耐d好多打工仔都嚟食 可能大家都係好忙碌但其實餐廳好有風味或者好多嘢係香港變緊,但仍有一些未變。 繼續閱讀
