Visited the Lobby Lounge at Island Shangri-La with my colleagues for afternoon tea since she had coupon. .We shared two sets of Spring Afternoon Tea, which included the following dishes:-Sakura Raspberry Topped with sakura petals and whipped cream, the dessert looked cute and was fruity. -Strawberry Rhubarb Roll CakeThe cake looked delicate with strawberries, flower petals and cream on it. The tartness of the rhubarb intensified the sweetness of the strawberry, and the amount of the cream was just right, making each bite balanced. -Pistachio Cherry Pavlova Topped with cherry and whipped cream, the pavlova had a fluffy base and a soft interior. The pistachio flavour was not that apparent though. -Smoked Salmon & Radish SandwichThis combination was super savoury. The smookiness of the salmon paired exceptionally well with the radish, presented as a well-layered sandwich. -Green Pea ÉclairThe choux pastry offered a slightly salty and eggy taste, while the green pea filling had an earthy flavour. I am not a great fan of green pea, so I was not too into it. -Lobster & Cream Cheese Wheat Bread RollTopped with fish roe, the bread roll was succulent and had a rich, sweet flavour of lobster. Pairing it with cream cheese produced a smooth and velvety texture. -Scones served with Clotted Cream and JamThe sconces were absolutely remarkable and memorable. With a slightly crumbly and dense texture, the scones were buttery and mildly sweet. The rich clotted cream added a creamy touch to the scones, complementing their subtle sweetness. -Selection of Shangri-La Tea or CoffeeI chose Darjeeling, which had an intense floral aroma and muscatel flavour. It was sweeter compared to other black teas. My other colleagues selected Earl Grey, Arabian Nights and Chamomile. .The lobby lounge is designed as a vintage tram called the Shangri-La Wonderliner, creating a retro and unique ambiance. We were lucky enough to be assigned to one of the "carts", allowing us to dine and talk in a more private space. There were a live band performing music from time to time, enhancing the classic and elegant experience. .The staff was nice and attentive, helping us take photos and serving us patiently.

I was attracted by their new afternoon tea set but all the items were great.The scones were perfect. Despite its large size, it was still soft and buttery inside and since there was 2, it was very fulfilling. My favorite savory would be the Tuna Tartar while both the Peach and Raspberry Desserts matched the summer theme perfectly. The Peach dessert in particular was quite juicy. Despite there is only 5 items, all of them were perfectly made and not small at all and with the 2 scones, it was almost a full meal.

第一次來食tea,一去到餐廳職員安排座位,安排咗一個特色嘅打卡位置,覺得依個位好靚,枱上面嘅餐具亦都非常精緻,鹹點同埋甜點每樣佔據一半,我個人鍾意食鹹點多啲,甜點覺得偏甜,鬆餅都幾唔錯嘅,餐廳員工服務態度都好好,幫忙同閨蜜影咗幾次合照,同埋影嘅角度都好好🥳附近仲有現場演奏音樂,成個環境氣氛都好好,好適合閨蜜或者情侶來下午茶,今次閨蜜同我補足生日,覺得好滿足,如果Tea Set再多啲鹹點就更加好了😌今次我比較鍾意 龍蝦忌廉芝士麥包卷 同埋 煙三文魚小蘿蔔三文治,個人都係鹹點評分比較🫶🏻

A very festive afternoon tea with holiday vibes. The ambience had a lot of Christmas vibes with live music 🎵🎶SAVOURIES🧀Burrata Cheese and Pistachio Crispy Sandwich: Loved the slight crisp and the rich cheese flavours 🦞Lobster Soft Roll with Spicy Cashew: The lobster filling was yummy and the spicy cashew added the texture and taste🦃Turkey Sandwich with Cranberry: The sandwich didn’t have too many surprises, just with a tint of tangy cranberry flavours🐟Smoked Salmon Tartare on Brioche: Great that the salmon was not fishy SWEETS🫐Pistachio Winter Berry Opera: Loved the rich pistachio flavours that went well with the tangy winter berry flavours. However, it’ll be better if it really had the opera layers 🍎Apple Caramel Crunch: Delicate presentation with a chocolate bell. Would be better if the apple caramel flavours can stand out a bit more 🪵Dark Chocolate Vanilla Yule Log: Not too sweet🥧Mince Pie: Average, not too many surprises Scones served with Clotted Cream and Jam: Scones were a bit sticky A very aesthetically appealing afternoon tea. It really brought out the Christmas vibes with the food and the surroundings 🎄However, it was a bit overpriced with the small portions ☹️
