We went there for my hubby’s birthday celebration. We both love Japanese and had tried many wonderful Japanese restaurants before. This is the best omakase we have had so far. Whilst the dishes may not be the most impressive (although still extremely delicious), the experience is so authentic, the setting is so exclusive and the presentation by head chef Kimijima-san is so exquisite - it was almost as we walked into a genuine sushi bar in Japan. We highly recommmend this and would definitely return in the near future. 繼續閱讀

UMI on Hollywood Road的主廚傅君島友紀雄先生Yukio Kimijima出身東京銀座的壽司家族🍣🏠,家族幾代都是壽司師傅﹗介紹一下這次omakase裏我最喜歡的食物💁🏻‍♀️*️⃣松露飯新鮮的黑松露既香氣撲鼻又矜貴🤤,米粒選用北海道米及秘製赤醋作壽司飯,較乾身少水分不太綿,伴隨著松露香,很好吃👍🏻!*️⃣鮑魚選用千葉縣的上等貨鮑魚。質感既軟腍而富彈性✔️,沾上由鮑魚肝煮成的肝醬,鮮甜味濃😍,吃得我十分滋味👅!*️⃣大蜆麵豉湯這碗湯我要以驚艷兩字形容🤩,大蜆新鮮彈牙仲好juicy,麵豉湯極其鮮味,從來沒有喝過如此嘖嘖稱奇的麵豉湯🤭,是上等之作🏅🔝!*️⃣自家製的巨峰提子Mochi / 抹茶朱古力巨峰提子mochi的mochi皮十分軟糯煙靱,一咬下去巨峰提子的爆出甜美香濃的汁,超好吃到簡直要稱為世界級🏆😍。朱古力是法國的出品, 再由撒上京都的抹茶,甜而不膩,十分高質👍🏻!📝Yukio Kimijima師傅除左整壽司專業又好食,個人都好nice同我地有講有笑一齊研討吓其他壽司店,仲free左切餅費比我地😝 繼續閱讀

Date night this week was at umi a cozy 10 seater sushi bar helmed by 40 year sushi itamae kanijimasan. Kanijimasan comes from 4 generations of sushi chefs and his affinity with the fruits of the ocean is beautifully expressed through the 16 course omakase at umi.To start we had a delicious light truffle rice topped with a pinch of uni and caviar. each grain was enveloped with truffle butter / oil. Highlights of the night include the amberjack, scallops that are lightly zested with Japanese lime / mandrine , the abalone served in a beautiful shell with its liver as sauce and the trio of tuna : maguro, chutoro and otoro. Finale was clam miso soup and what I call the uni icecream handroll. Generous servings of uni wrapped in a freshly toasted seaweed. So so good. Dessert was super sweet strawberries wrapped in a mochi and green tea nama chocolates. The sushi rice that umi uses is seasoned with brown vinegar and cooked with water from Japan giving its characteristic brown colour. Umi is 1 of 5 restaurants in hk that gets their fish flown in daily from japan. I really appreciated the portioning of the meal and the personal interaction with kanijimasan and the staff. My date and I felt absolutely spoilt as if we were at a personalised sushi masterclass. For the price point and the quality of food and service, we definitely feel that umi is great value and well worth a visit. Quite frankly surprised that they don’t have a star yet! Will be back! 繼續閱讀

整體唔錯。大路高級日本餐廳 decoration, 師傅亦客氣有禮貌地跟客人聊天。食物水平同價錢成正比關系,即味道同價錢亦within market range , 不特別便宜亦不特別貴;味道亦係平均水平附近。結論:有空可試試。 繼續閱讀

One of the best omakases in HK!The restaurant only sits around 6 people. The food was really good. I was most surprised by how they put the sushi on the table. The starters included truffle rice, bonito fish with garlic, squid, and abalone. All were very tasty. Sushi was very special as you got to try some fish that are not usually served in Japanese restaurants, like 石斑,愛女魚,大蜆,倉魚 etc. Dessert was really special too. Overall a very good experience.
