有日同朋友都想食生蠔系open rice睇睇下見到哩間d生蠔幾吸引就去左試佢有晚餐set..亦有生蠔set..但生蠔set最少都8隻我同朋友又想食下其他野所以我地叫左2個晚餐set因為佢1個set都有3隻生蠔..湯..麵飽..主菜..仲有野飲..其他食物普通我冇特別影而生蠔就比我想像中好味隻隻都肥美而且鮮甜..而不得不讚既系佢既主菜..哩個系A5和牛脊肉😋佢海鮮比較出名..冇諗過牛肉都好好味外脆內軟一d都吾硬整體黎講非常滿意系出菜上菜比較慢..價錢都可以 大概$300幾1 set

以前每逢特別日子都會於此慶祝!早幾日友人生日再次訂位。發覺已搬了上樓!一出電梯的感覺就是一切已經改變!沒有了如出海的感覺。。沒了海水的氣味!只剩下一些零碎的海邊裝飾!如舊的豪華。。但。。。。還好的是食物依舊精美。海鮮依舊新鮮!還有那年華已去的美女侍應!依舊專業!依舊恩勤!!!

Island seafood不敵貴租由諾士佛台地鋪搬上2樓午餐仍是88元起 加一餐湯一直認真製作這次是蘑菇忌廉湯,很濃郁茹味面包也製作真材實料友人一致like我要了蟹肉沙律蟹新鮮雖然沙律大都是芹菜和生菜88元也不能過度要求所配鮮果是美麗質優的橙好心思且不貴食腦煎三文魚128hk質量好是數個餐中最佳:讚非常甘美柔軟煎龍脷柳比不上三文嫩口味濃一分錢一分貨也不差魚較結實 一些也不腥100元左右很公道送的甜品法國焦糖燉蛋清新美麗好吃靚,意外之禮物午餐包括實在吸引自製面包有軟有硬令人知道這家食堂級數也佩服全部裝修設計風格都是海和Food各方面引入海中寶認真中見風格從2樓遠眺街景 好店也頂不過租金希望寧搬上樓保持質素

Island Seafood has been my recent pick for fresh seafood. Today I am coming here with my friends. While waiting for everyone to arrive,we order a bottle of fancy white wine which was a just a delicious way to start my night. White wineOystersWe then ordered a few oysters recommended by the restaurant.  They were just as good as what oysters should be.Foie GrasThe foie gras was nicely prepared to just the right doneness. The sauce was a vinegary and it was just the best way to start a meal with.

Again, the freshness from the fish was just over the top. The just cooked fish was flaky with a nice flavour from the grill. The halved fish was perfect for sharing.

Lamb Chop

I would literally order this dish every time I come here. My favourite lamb chop in Hong Kong so far. With no disappointment, the meat was tender, soft, with no gaminess. It was so soft I almost forgot it was a piece of lamb!

Moving on to desserts, I was already quite tipsy at this stage and couldn't really remember the name of these dessert. 

In this dessert, the egg white meringue was Flambé in front of us when it was served. The flaming was so sexy in this dimmed restaurant.

Moving on , I actually had no room to try this dessert but my friend said the crumb was a nice match with the soft moist cake underneath, yet again, the vanilla ice cream on the side balanced out the sweetness.

這個西班牙海膽真是A級的貨色,它的肉色金黃,味道很鮮甜,有較濃的海水味,但又沒有一般海膽般膩,配咪法國的蟹皇和蟹肉焗制而成,一食難忘,神級嘅享受,真的從未食過如此好味的海膽。

我個M9和牛終於出場,它有西班牙虎蝦做伴,再加埋足料自制的燒汁,突顯它出來效果真是絶配,簡直令人胃口大開,半熟的和牛還看見肉質內層是鮮紅色,食落很香很有牛味,食得出它是非常新鮮,不要忽略D配菜,看得出他們很有心思!再配澳洲紅酒,簡直無與鄰比!

題外話/補充資料: 除了食物品質一流,如五星級酒店的水準外,原來連餐廳的大厨都是大酒店級出來的,服務更不再話下,給你如貴賓般的招待,所以今次的聚餐彷如置身於五星級的食府,很好很好的經驗!他們品味源自真味覺,最好就喺呢度!我就超喜歡,再有聚會,這裡必定首選!

I came back to Island Seafood after my first visit 6 years ago. I just wanted to give a special treat to my friend from UK (he is a British gentleman who is very particular in choosing restaurant. That's the reason why I chose Island Seafood as I just couldn't run the risk of letting down my friend).At the end of the day, this gentleman with demanding palate was so satisfied that he told me he would bring his family to the restaurant again. I came back to Island Seafood after my first visit 6 years ago. I just wanted to give a special treat to my friend from UK (he is a British gentleman who is very particular in choosing restaurant. That's the reason why I chose Island Seafood as I just couldn't run the risk of letting down my friend).
At the end of the day, this gentleman with demanding palate was so satisfied that he told me he would bring his family to the restaurant again. Back to the food we ordered (in fact we didn't do the ordering. It's all recommended by Ricks (the Executive Chef). We were first served with Bellot Ham as starter. To be honest with you, this is best I have ever had. The great after-taste had stayed in my palate for a long time. After this, I had the famous oysters while my British friend skipped because he doesn't take oysters for personal reason. Needless to say, the Oysters didn't let me down. They were so fresh that they were still moving while I was eating them. (A reminder: don't dip any sauce for the oysters because the best oysters need no sauce. Otherwise, the oysters would be wasted if you do that). The third course was Lobster Bisque. This Lobster Bisque was spinach base, which gave us a different touch than the ordinary lobster bisque served by other restaurants. The last course before the main was the baked Sea Urchin. The fresh sea urchin was mixed with fresh crab meat. The two were just complimenting each other well and gave me an unforgetable mouth feel. Now it came to the main course. I went for the Lamb Rack (medium rare) while my friend went for seabass. The Lamb Rack is one of the best in town. In fact, I wanted also to have a bite for the seabass because it looked very delicious. If I were with my wife, I would have asked her to let me have a bite. However, I just couldn't do that for two reasons: (1) maintaining decent table manner in front of a British gentleman and (2) sharing food between two men could be misleading. Haha. We closed the dinner with Blueberry Sherbert. I am a very health conscious person who wouldn't usually end a dinner with dessert. When Ricks recommended me the Sherbert, I hesitated for a moment but finally accepted the recommendation out of politeness. You know what. I finished the whole Sherbert merely because it's irresistably tasty. The dinner was almost 3 hours long. Time's well spent for great food needs no rush. Finally a nice surprise as far as the bill is concerned. I thought I would have spent over $2,000 but the bill was only $1,600. Value for money!  Cheers.

p.s. I didn't take picture for all courses simply because it's kind of lacking table manner in front of a British.  However, I did ask for his permission to take a few photos because I really want to share with with my wife.  I used an excuse of sending him the photos afterwards so that he could show his father.  Clever me!

與好友慶祝生日,想起兩年前曾去過的 Island Seafood,原來搬上了二樓。仍記得總厨很好人,由於我們唔係咩食家,他總會友善地因應我們的口味介紹一些啱我地而又係他最拿手的東西。今次也不例外,他介詔了他最新的創意美食,西班牙海膽,這個海膽混上了蟹肉,蟹膏,龍蝦汁,芝士和白汁,味道真的充滿驚喜,價錢也合理,必吃。另外我們吃了西班牙伊比利亞風乾腿配水牛乳芝士及法國什色番茄,這個風乾腿在 Do 姐有問題也介詔過,Do 姐話這是西班牙國寶,果然名不虛傳。扒西班牙虎蝦配安格斯肥牛或黑毛豬,牛或豬以火山石燒制,美味到不能。而我個人最欣賞的是龍蝦濃湯,我從未在別家飲過此等靚湯,唔識形容,只知道連最後一滴也不能浪費。而蠔就不需多介詔,這裏的蠔永遠最新鮮最靚,海洋的味道充滿在你咀裏久久揮不去。友人對我今次的推介讚不絕口,吃得很滿足,我們很快便會再去 encore.

而我個人最欣賞的是龍蝦濃湯,我從未在別家飲過此等靚湯,唔識形容,只知道連最後一滴也不能浪費。
而蠔就不需多介詔,這裏的蠔永遠最新鮮最靚,海洋的味道充滿在你咀裏久久揮不去。
友人對我今次的推介讚不絕口,吃得很滿足,我們很快便會再去 encore.

The place is decorated with leather furniture and artistic paintings. There are both window
seats for you to overlook the buzzing Knutsford Terrace, and some bigger tables for you to see the chef in action. The ambient and staff are welcoming especially with the warm lighting.

To me, I always try the bread basket to see how serious the restaurant is taking. Island Seafood serves a mushroom-shaped poppy seed bread with chilled block of truffle butter.

Mermaid ($72)

This mermaid oyster was as big as my hand! It delivered a medium sea salty flavor with a long lasting sweet after taste. Its texture was creamy and smooth. It’s a beautiful oyster with an amusing presentation to please your loved ones.

The aromatic oyster gave a mix of fresh hazelnut and seaweed flavor with a strong sweet after taste, a great oyster to go down with a glass of chilled white wine.

This infamous oyster gave no disappointment. The flavor of sea water was strong, perfectly complementing the hazelnut and palate taste from this smooth and chewy French oyster.

Spanish Palamos Prawns Salad with Crispy Cod Skin ($175)

Ingredient is one the key elements to a good dish. Palamos prawn is the rarest prawn species from Spain. They could only be found 3,000 feet under Deep Ocean. Its was the sweetest prawn I have ever tasted and you could only find it in one of the few fine dining restaurants in Hong Kong. Not only the prawn was outstanding, the salad also consisted of four different types of seaweeds from France, as well as a thin sheet of the crunchiest cod fish skin I have ever had, paired with light mango sauce and mentaiko.

Baked Spanish Sea Urchin with Crab Meat and Brown Meat ($195)

Another wow dish with a stunning presentation, the sea urchin was stuffed with a mix of crab meat, brown meat and mushroom, topped with some aged Parmesan cheese and bake until golden, then seasoned with lobster sauce. Since the dish had no seasoning at all, the French sea salt at the bottom was provided to add an extra kick.

There were some big chunks of crab meat and mushroom in this small cute shell. The creamy golden goodness was indeed a delicate treat to enjoy, and to celebrate the upcoming golden year of monkey

Sea Salt baked Bone Marrow with Escargots ($185)

Ricks is a very experienced chef with a lot of experiences in five stars hotels as well as in France. He explained that bone marrow should not be melted into oil because it meant overheated and overcooked.

This classic French dish uses good quality ingredients, including French Burgundy escargots cooked with hazelnuts sauce, sitting on a bed of smooth mashed potato.

Gruyere Cheese Baked Onion Soup ($85)

One of the easiest French soup to make yet one of the easiest dish to screw up. Chef Ricks addressed that the ratio between soup, bread and cheese is critical. Besides, a good old bowl of onion soup must use good beef stock. If it is not beef stock, it is not onion soup.

The soup was cooked with some sweet Sherry wine. The aromatic Sherry fragrant urged out through the bread and cheese cover once we dig into it. The sweetness, cheesiness and savouriness from this little bowl has created heaven.

Manhattan Clam Chowder Cream Soup ($95)

This Manhattan style clam chowder is nothing like any other clam chowder. Island Seafood uses genuine recipe with heart. The fresh clams with its own juice and a little bit of tomatoes were used to make the rich soup base, topped with a dollop of cream foam.

Though most of these clams were blended, a few fresh and nicely cooked clams could still be found swimming in the soup. They were all very pump and juicy.

This creamy soup uses no potato nor flour for thickening. The high density from the clam meat gave it a pretty heavy texture, great for hungry folks because it's very filling!

Fresh Mussels prepared by Chef's Choice ($195)

Extraordinary is all we can say. Each piece of French mussel was cooked to perfection. The mussels were just barely well-cooked. Chef Ricks revealed that it only took 30 seconds to cook any mussels otherwise it would all turn overcooked.

Chef Ricks had also specially prepared this dish in his recommended way. The dish was cooked with a blend of spinach and herb paste.

After too many mussels I have ever had in my life, I can confidently say that this is the most perfectly cooked mussel dish I have ever had, I can clearly see how experienced the chef is controlling his fire. Bravo!

The lamb was really succulent and it took no force to cut into. The surface was slightly crispy, delivering a even more intense meat flavour. The cut was quite lean yet still extremely soft and moist.

Moving on to the potato gratin, it was definitely creamy and rich from the cream sauce. It was not too overcooked until mushy. You could still see layers of potato sheets with a thin sheet of cheese on top in a spoonful. This heavy dish reminded us moderation is key.

This new place is a great pick for diners to enjoy some quality food and drinks in a quieter area. Happy Hour offer is also available for you to have some pre-dinner drinks. I could not stress enough that oysters and the grill are the must-order items. They are even doing $20 oyster promotion on every Thursday! We are definitely coming back for more, reading this is making me hungry!

Cocktail 的款式是基本的貨色,當你沒menu 可以看但要到 counter 點個酒的話,必定要幾款 cocktail 名旁一旁身,熟讀這個menu 應該足夠。不熟酒精者,看括號內的成分就明白了。價錢絕對是吸引的一環,尖沙咀區有海景的酒吧如 Aqua 和 Harlan's 要過$150,樓下諾士佛臺的要$80-100,這兒是$4x - 6x!
(題外話: 很少可 cocktail menu 可以拍得那麼清楚,因為是很光的... 歇後語是在這兒約會的話,樣子會無所遁形!)

我點了個 Sea Breeze,友人們點了 Classic Martini 和 House White Wine。每杯都是$5x - 60,除了好抵,沒有其他可用的形容詞。

Sea breeze 是以 vodka 作基酒的 cocktail,混入西柚汁和紅莓汁。喝下去是西柚味較重,顏色亦因此比較粉而明亮。紅莓汁加在酒中,如果沒有其他酒/果汁 (例如 Cape Codder),很容易有藥水味,這個的味道很易入口,像清新的海風,但狡猾的 vodka 其實已在我體內發功了。

有趣的是,喝著喝著,我發現內裡有一顆糖浸車厘子,但有一支簽插著的 - 應該是用來掛在杯邊,但上桌時根本沒有。有圖為證,我還未醉。

我沒有嚐友人們的酒,因為可以眼前晃晃的了。

這兒的裝修帶點歐陸風,來吃個飯應該不錯的。今次推介的原因純粹是給大家一個不用等位又可以把酒談心的好選擇,論飲品款式和調製技術,這家不會是最好的啦。喝酒是即興的東西,要左等右等便會掃興了。

好耐無去Island Seafood la~Book 枱先知搬左去樓上,裝修風格煥然一新! 新風格more elegant. 餐牌沒什麼大變動。 我次次唔係Seafood platter,就係生蠔加黑松露penne~ 今次個 starter bread 變左做哩個好得意嘅house bake bread.咪睇佢咁細個,但係好實淨,好飽嫁~入口好多mixed seed match with a house made truffle butter, 好用心哦~ oyster餐牌上每款各二加送嘅半打~食生蠔我都係鍾意食爽甜同creamy嘅,所以都係white pearl & gillardeau 咁我口味多啲~開左支白酒,支白酒not too friutty, smooth.黑松露長通粉好creamy,creamy到好飽~好香嘅松露同olive oil.Tirimisu~已經食到又醉又飽。。。但都食到甜品裡面嘅酒香同芝士打得好輕好滑。
