You will feel somewhere else than in Hong Kong. Every detail in the decoration of the restaurant is beautiful and makes you feel in the north of Europe. The food was delicious, the Georgian wine as well. The music was Russian and very nice. It was perfect!

This place was terrible to day the least. Sadly, the waiter was quite nice and kind unlike many other restaurants so I have to admit that their service was one of the best ones that i have experienced in Hong Kong but the food was below average. Went in for a lunch set meal. Costed approx. Hkd110 including service charge so the damage was not massive but I couldn't even manage to eat half of my meal because it was too greasy and tasteless. The salads were worse than what I would make at home. Glad we didn't pick salad buffet plus main course! If you want to try then go ahead but don't risk it for a special occasion or an important meal

First visit, discovered via Groupon. Overall experience was awesome. Details starts right at the door step...from the decorations at entrance right to the washroom ;)Food was excellent. We had flaming pork ribs and apple duck. Something different...wouldn't hv tried cooking it at home. Whole family enjoyed the meal...with a nice Russian music playing at the back. Really appreciated the details into all they did.

Great Father's Day meal ! Pork Ribs Marinated in Voka and Honey following a Medieval Recipe- the pork ribs is so tender that it melt on my tongue, the presentation of this dish is amazing and it is come with a strong flavor of the Voka 😋!

All the staff is so friendly and helpful , definitely will come back again 😃

I know almost nothing about Russian food, besides a bowl of borsch I had over there like 15 years ago. I assumed coming in that the cuisine would be a mix of bland boiled potatoes and flavorless stews, accompanied of course by copious amounts of Vodka. Glad to confirm that while yes, there are a lot of potatoes and stews, they are not bland at all, and yes, there is tons of vodka. 
Ivan the Kozak’s food, if it actually is indicative of Russian cuisine, (and I have no reason to believe it isn’t apart from the fact that it’s in Central, Hong Kong) is pretty tasty. It’s on the 2nd floor by the bend on Wyndham, and is a homey little joint, with excellent servers who put up with whatever idiotic questions you have, and more importantly recommend some excellent dishes. Since none of us had any clue what to order besides borsch and dumplings, we tried a bunch of things, primarily recommended by our waiter. As far as drinks, they have a list of Russian vodkas I’d never heard of, and a bunch of beers/wines, so no issues there.
We tried:
Beet Borsch – not terribly thrilling but tasty and I guess a must-try?
Potato Pancakes with Sour Cream – delicious crunch, and matched well with the tart sour cream
2 types of dumplings – one was mini pork dumplings (Pelmini), , which were just fine, but the other was a Potato and Mushroom Ukranian dumpling (Vareniki), and those were delicious! Pillowy soft potato filling topped with, of course, sour cream
Assorted Ukranian Pickles – this was so good we actually ordered it 3x – cabbage and cucumbers freshly pickled and not too sour – refreshing with the heavier dishes and killer with vodka
Ivan the Kozak – their signature dish was a generous portion of pork ribs in an insanely alcoholic flambéed vodka and honey sauce – delicious but the sauce was too strong to really slurp up with the ribs
Venison Stew in Red wine sauce – highlight for me – bit gamey if you’re sensitive to that, but a very rich savory stew with generous chunks of slow-cooked meat 
Beef Stroganoff – the only meh dish – I barely remember trying it
Kossaks Barrel – a pot of veal and potato capped with a baked dough cover – some people liked this dish the most – simple but well executed, and great to have that bread to sop up the sauce
Prices were not bad at about HKD 300-400/person with a ton of food (7 starters, 6 entrees for 8 people) a bottle of vodka and a few beers included. 
I’m not sure I’d eat it regularly (bit too meaty), but for a change of pace it was definitely a good time. Give it a shot if you’re in the mood for something different!

在這家餐廳搬遷之前已經bookmark了,看食評覺得餐廳的主題很特別,不是一般的西餐或是fusion菜;即使專賣傳統菜,也非大路的選擇如意大利和德國,而是"東歐菜"。乍聽是東歐,就會想起匈牙利、捷克等等,不過要釐清一下,原來這裡是俄羅斯和烏克蘭主廚。看餐牌有見到捷克較有代表性的酥炸豬扒 (meat escalope),和波蘭的餃子 (主要的餡料是肉,粉皮較厚,有點像意大利的ravoli。煮法可以是加忌廉醬煮,也可以似日本餃子般香煎。);不過主要都是俄國菜,且烏克蘭菜更甚。終於提起心肝來 (畢竟過海於新界牛的我來說也是蠻遠的),是因為這家餐廳竟然做主菜半價優惠了,只要用openrice預先訂座就可以了,優惠期至30/6。其實找這家餐廳也找了好一陣子,雖然離中環D出口不遠,不過到了蘭桂芳後兜了大圈才能找到 (證明我不是常常去蒲),因為它在蘭桂芳後面的大廈一樓,走的時候才發現原來有一條樓梯可以直接通往 (經Marks & Spencers)。與預訂的時間剛好到達,電梯一開門已見到很有民族風情的彩色玻璃膠和木框裝飾,令人眼前一亮。一進內是位白晢的外藉侍應哥哥,還以為要說英文,誰知他主動跟我們說

裡面頗是昏暗,只靠每桌上的彩色玻璃燈與及桌上的燭光照明,非常有情調。我們被安排到靠邊的梳化座,二人圓桌不大,不過旁邊沒有人坐,所以也不會覺得有壓迫感。梳化座一邊對著的就是這個城堡風景,用木框框著,後面有燈箱,像是窗外風景般的佈置。而後方則是一些民族畫,打了淡燈令其較鮮明。

外藉哥哥很貼心,自動端上開水。可能客人不多,我們在的時間都是只有他上菜和下單等,雖然比較姿柔,可是很細心提點我們小心碟邊熱,也知道我們香港人喜歡分享主菜 (外國人就算點再大的pizza或豬手,也是要自己完成自己的主菜,很少會分享每人吃一點),主動多給我們一個碗子,還因自己檢查看見有香草跌入碗子入面而幫我們更換,服務態度一流。

說回食物,婆仔如我,不能夠放過盡用主菜半價優惠,又不知份量如何,所以選了兩個主菜,再多點一個很想試的羅宋湯,打算到時不夠再加。都要待好一會兒才上菜,可見是新鮮即叫即做的。

正宗烏克蘭羅宋湯

很想點這湯的原因,是寫明"正宗"。羅宋湯在香港喝得多,漸漸演化成香港版本,也不知道原來的本是怎樣。平常我們喝的是橙紅色的,一般有許多番茄、薯仔、紅蘿蔔、洋蔥,更講究的會有西芹加香,和用牛肉淆製而成。原來羅宋湯是由俄羅斯來的,而正宗傳統的羅宋湯比平常喝的非常不同!正宗的完全是紅色的,沒有半點橙色,只因主要材料是紅菜頭而非番茄。紅菜頭本來就是很多汁,切成絲煮染紅了整煲湯。雖然也似番茄帶點酸酸甜甜,但紅菜頭甜多於酸,還有一點特別的味道,不能叫是腥味,可不是人人都接受得了,幸好我沒有討厭紅菜頭。而配料也有紅蘿蔔、薯仔,並有肉去調味,蔥和香草也是下得不少的,不過這不是走濃郁路線,都是比較稀。但這個味道是很特別的,我覺得如果不抗拒紅菜頭的話,實在可以一試。

酥皮燴牛仔肉

喝完湯後這個主菜也很快來到了,端上來的時候是像酥皮湯般有酥皮放在盅上,不過侍應哥哥很快手就用碟子純熟地將酥皮反轉分開放下,沒能拍到原貌。所謂的酥皮,其實是很薄的牛油皮,不是很多層的鬆化酥皮。所以有點硬的酥皮只能稍稍蘸汁變軟便要拿起,不然怕會溶化,不能像我平時吃酥皮湯的習慣般把酥皮浸在湯中吸湯再吃。不過這牛油皮只有微鹹,牛油香重,沾著濃郁的湯汁也是不錯的吃。不過湯汁真的很鹹,沾著吃可以,但鹹得不能就這樣喝,可是湯汁非常多,吃完酥皮和伴著內裡的配料吃也吃不完,只覺有點浪費啊。

內裡的牛仔肉已經燉得非常非常軟林,用叉子便能把肉撕開一絲絲,不過沒有怎樣醃過,肉自身是較淡味的,才要配上較鹹的湯汁吧。配料還有薯仔、紅蘿蔔和蘑菇,也已燉得非常林了。可是蘑菇竟然是用了canned button mushroom,是有點減分,相信如果用新鮮的白蘑菇會更為香呢。

我們慢慢吃完了炆牛仔肉,也要等一會兒才上這道主菜,不過一端上來就覺得是值得等待的。
 只是擺盤已經非常吸睛,蘋果切塊分散圍著疊起成小山丘的鴨胸在中間,再加上紅莓汁點綴作裝飾,真的很漂亮。先試蘋果,是用糖和肉桂稍稍煮過,有點林但仍保留一點爽的口感,不是焗蘋果批裡的蘋果般稀爛。鴨胸不是平時有一層脂肪的煙鴨胸,這裡的偏瘦也就更考廚師功夫——煮得全熟,雖然沒有脂肪令鴨肉入口即溶,肉質仍然軟林不鞋口,咬下去還有少許肉汁。有香煎過外皮,所以連帶的鴨皮有點脆口,但不油膩也不硬。錦上添花的是那個紅莓汁,有一粒粒紅莓之餘不只是果醬的死甜,皆因加入了少許紅酒一起烹調而成,帶一點葡萄的酸澀,跟鴨肉很相配。而且蘋果與鴨胸之間也是奇妙的配合:爽口的蘋果和鴨肉的嫩林、酸酸的蘋果汁與鴨的肉香,合起來放進口又是另一番美味。況且鴨肉是屬於較貴的肉類,這裡的份量也算慷慨,半價更是物超所值呢。


慢慢地吃罷一湯兩主菜,剛好八點離座,就能成功地享用主菜半價的優惠。份量也足夠,我們二人都棒著肚子離開,非常滿足且超值的一頓呢。


有這種堅持傳統做法和專心致志的餐廳向來都是我最偏愛的,不過同時也會想,到底這樣子的餐廳在香港能夠生存得久嗎?像這個平日的晚上六時半來到,有小貓三數隻,其中兩張桌其實都是外國人。即使到我們八時完成離座,也只是剛好坐滿一半。其實這裡食物的定價也不算高,即使沒有主菜半價優惠,我也是願意給這價錢去吃的。有印象餐廳之前也做過另一個逢星期三的訂座優惠,不過那時錯過了。希望做這些限時優惠能夠吸引更多人知道這家餐廳的存在,也希望能夠維持,不要待一段時間後做不住而消失。

初時聽到‘東歐餐廳’呢個名嘅時候,就覺得餐廳非同凡響啦,因為佢一定喺專注於食物嘅味道店內嘅裝飾俾人嘅感覺就係好warm好warm,入面嘅燈光擺設都係有好獨特嘅東歐風情,所以食飯嘅時候有一種身臨其境嘅感覺說話唔多講啦,即刻食靚嘢!俄國煮牛肝,啱開始我以為嚟個菜喺齋煮牛肝,上菜嘅時候先發現原嚟喺配埋飯嘎!!啲飯應該喺炒過嘅,食落好香口,牛肝配有獨特嘅醬汁,唔會覺得有騷味。最令我驚喜嘅就係哩個烏克蘭烤牛扒啦,煎到差唔多5、6成熟左右,配一份番茄醬,牛扒真係好大份,而且厚度十足吖!!太有誠意啦哩個菜!!肉質鮮嫩多汁,一啲都唔老,味道啱啱好吖!!喺一間餐廳可以品嘗到咁多個國家嘅特色美食,真係好幸福~飲一杯捷克生啤,味道濃厚香醇,麥芽糖味道濃郁~~如果唔鐘意飲啤酒嘅,仲可以試下我朋友叫既哩款Kiss Bear立陶宛果酒,香濃嘅梨香味就係佢嘅獨特之處,係好飲架!

說話唔多講啦,即刻食靚嘢!俄國煮牛肝,啱開始我以為嚟個菜喺齋煮牛肝,上菜嘅時候先發現原嚟喺配埋飯嘎!!啲飯應該喺炒過嘅,食落好香口,牛肝配有獨特嘅醬汁,唔會覺得有騷味。

最令我驚喜嘅就係哩個烏克蘭烤牛扒啦,煎到差唔多5、6成熟左右,配一份番茄醬,牛扒真係好大份,而且厚度十足吖!!太有誠意啦哩個菜!!肉質鮮嫩多汁,一啲都唔老,味道啱啱好吖!!

如果唔鐘意飲啤酒嘅,仲可以試下我朋友叫既哩款Kiss Bear立陶宛果酒,香濃嘅梨香味就係佢嘅獨特之處,係好飲架!

Recommended by a friend, we went for lunch and had the lunch set (i.e. Venison Meat Balls and Spicy Beef). Food we're great, and so was the service. We were lucky to get a free shot of the Russia vodka (smooth), and a sip of the orange flavored beer.I would recommend the Rose Honey Tea as well. Dessert was Apple Sponge Cake (something like that), which was too dry.Overall, we had a great lunch, definitely worth going back.

其實之前都有去過舊址閣麟街地舖食過,當時老細仲請我去雪房飲vodka,到昨日再去幫襯,雖然舖頭已經搬左上樓上舖,老細依然冇變仍然咁熱情,好nice咁拎住6支vodka每枱去傾偈及請飲vodka, 而且食物質素仍然冇退步咁好食,尤其香燒豬肋骨,真係好好食。而除左食物質素keep到好好服務質素仲更好實在難得,老細好nice咁照顧每一枱客人,臨尾老細仲好樂意幫每一枱客人影相,佢會好細心幫人客影相。仲傾下影相技術添。令每位食客食得好開心。

同老友慶祝生日,基本上我地每次gathering 都會試下新野。今次其中一個朋友就話想食俄羅斯菜(我都唔知點解佢會突然挑起條筋想食啲咁了能既野)不過呢總之最後佢就搵到呢間啦。呢間位於中環,所以呢啲野食都唔會平架喇,每人兩三百都走唔甩。點知我地係OpenRice 見到上網book位,並於八點前埋單係會有main course 半價既優惠,哇咁咪即刻平左好多囉!呢個係唔知咩椰菜卷,咁佢入面包住啲肥豬肉,都幾香幾好食既,不過真心佢岩上枱既時候我真係唔認得佢係菜囉!價錢來講呢,呢個係熱既appetizer ,唔係main course ,我記得佢係88蚊,除埋每條長唔過食指既椰菜卷就大約三十蚊港紙。值唔值就見人見智。我同我啲friend 四個人,每人都食唔到一條😫俾你地睇下椰菜卷內心,大約見到有豬肉紅carrot呢碟第二碟上,一上枱個waiter 就點火,喎好驚為天人呀!而啲火都燒左幾耐下,咁我當時好肚餓,佢又燒咁耐,等到有啲炆!不過呢個等待係值得既,因為個牛肩係超好食!我地個個都讚!呢個係羊膝,唔錯既,不過不失,羊膝好腍。唔太咸。最後呢個係焙三文魚扒!我本人就超鍾意食三文魚,所以都幾鍾意呢碟

呢碟第二碟上,一上枱個waiter 就點火,喎好驚為天人呀!而啲火都燒左幾耐下,咁我當時好肚餓,佢又燒咁耐,等到有啲炆!不過呢個等待係值得既,因為個牛肩係超好食!我地個個都讚!

最後呢個係焙三文魚扒!我本人就超鍾意食三文魚,所以都幾鍾意呢碟。

八點前埋到單,每人都係一百零蚊喎!值呀!但注意八點後埋單就唔係呢個價喇。

平時較多選擇西餐或者日本菜或是中菜,今次好友竟說帶我去食另類國家,心一直盤算著會是那一國家的菜呢,原來是俄菜, 果然是十分特別來到餐廳已十分滿坐而且外國人居多,大家都點了酒,談笑風生,氣氛十分融洽,而餐廳環境看得出很用心佈置,就像置身於那國一樣其實也不清楚點那道菜,所以也請侍應介紹一下正宗烏克蘭羅宋湯 $58正宗羅宋湯原來是用紅菜頭,味道什濃招牌芝士焗牛脷盅 $98 推薦這厚切牛脷,好象焗酥皮湯咁,而用酥皮來沾芝士汁十分惹味,而牛脷烹調得十分淋身入味俄國炆羊肩 $208份量十分足夠,所以不用膽心不夠,仲有薯仔伴菜,而羊肩很淋,所有精華也溶於湯內,我跟友人一滴也不漏 可想而知是有幾好食

招牌芝士焗牛脷盅 $98
推薦這厚切牛脷,好象焗酥皮湯咁,而用酥皮來沾芝士汁十分惹味,而牛脷烹調得十分淋身入味

份量十分足夠,所以不用膽心不夠,仲有薯仔伴菜,而羊肩很淋,所有精華也溶於湯內,我跟友人一滴也不漏 可想而知是有幾好食

I went there on Monday with two church sisters. Reserved this restaurant for early dinner with time at around 6pm.This restaurant was on 1st floor with an gorgeous environment with lovely decorations. It seemed that we have been to Russia. We have tried several dishes, including salad, soups, appetiser and main dishes. All dishes were special and tasty.
