This place made me feel nostalgic. The smell from the tea and the people working there. Even though this local cafe has stood on Hysan Avenue for more than a decade, it is reasonably new and luminous. This is a classic Chinese style cafe with the traditional Hong Kong style dishes from Breakfast eggs, toast, macaroni to Wonton noodles, fried rice, Singapore noodles and Curry which all have a very high quality and taste. Portion is decent and price is reasonable. Practical deco and very clean environment. My favourite is the Curry, Wonton and the Mix Vegi Fried Noodles. Too many choices to choose from. Give a try and will not disappoint you.

已忘記了幫襯了新英記多少年了, 每個星期總會抽1-2次去, 好像已成了我和其他朋友的習慣. 我特別欣賞他們一星期每天都煲不同的老火湯, 當中最美味的莫過於花生雞腳湯, 蕃茄薯仔湯, 更有較少出現的木瓜煲唐排, 真的沒有感覺到當中有味精. 今晚一聽到是蕃茄薯仔湯, 二話不說首先來一碗, 蕃茄酸甜度適中, 薯仔已煲得溶入湯裡, 很鮮味. 跟著再來班腩時菜飯, 很滿足.

今日未食過飯就去新英記食當係支持下d小店其實之前都有食過,大多外賣,但個人認為味道麻麻,好多野食仲要好油今日3個人去到叫肉絲炒面同粟米班腩飯10分鐘後送上一碟我地冇叫過既野我地話唔係我地既個part time/臨時性員工(一個阿百,白頭髮冇制服著既)就話係我地我地死都話我地冇叫!我地話係叫咗肉絲炒面同粟米班腩飯佢就話:頭先我重覆咗2次啦喎!你地都話係既!我地冇佢咁好氣之後一個長期員工走埋黎問係咪叫肉絲炒面,係既幫我地改返我地就話係個粟米班腩飯d班腩真係唔掂舊肉係硬架!!!而肉絲炒面總算可以入口味道總體都麻麻但係好心唔好請d服務態度差既part time/臨時性員工不過係入面做咗好耐果d就冇問題因此我好爭扎俾幾多分俾服務分長工果d我可以俾4-5分臨時工果d拉低晒d分,得2分因此只好俾3分

銅鑼灣的的希慎道，因為利園一、二期，早已成為一個貴氣十足的地方。不要老是說商店貴氣，連周邊的食肆也是非富則貴的人時常出沒之地。高級餐廳，數埋腳趾都數不完。而就在希慎道街頭一個當眼之處，正正有一家令人感覺同此區格格不入的食肆，這一所新英記，有老土的名字，有平凡的裝修，更是平民的一家茶餐廳。這店屹立在此地，好唔夾。不過因為是此一帶唯一的平民之選，所以她的中午，不愁沒人來的，來者，不就是我們一眾在銅鑼灣打工的白領人士。人多多的一家茶餐廳，位置極好而令到一些老員工待生客的態度傲慢。在食物方面，有不少人會點他們的蒸飯，中午時間少，絕大部份的堂食客都會點下是日的 ABC餐。而我就選了咖喔豬扒飯作為我是日的簡便午餐。港式的咖喱，而且是非常傳統的港式快諶咖喱，這可以說是一個咖喱味的茨汁，咸味比辣味更重，香味不足，金黃得非常奇怪，帶骨的豬扒醃到充滿了豉味，不過配合這一個咸味偏重的咖喱汁，我的感覺只有更咸。奶茶一般，食物一般，坐得又不夠爽.....以為會是幾經濟的一餐，誰知這一食也要$45，雖然比同邊便宜，但我寧願行多幾步路，又平而且更好食。

Came by for breakfast the other day. The wait for a table was ~10 minutes.Started off with the Satay Beef Fried Egg Nissin Ramen. The soup was too salty. The portion seemed bigger than usual. Maybe it was the smaller bowl. The fried egg was average:The corned beef sandwich was no good. It tasted like raw ground beef:The milk tea was also no good. Not enough tea flavor. Tasted watered down.Service was okay.

因為今朝好早就食午餐，兩點幾個肚餓度打鼓，係銅鑼灣行完街，每次經過都好想幫親，入到去乾淨舒適，但啲位就太細（無計啦，對面就係利苑，啲租應該貴到暈，有得坐已經好好啦哈哈），侍應都係一啲比較成熟的伯伯，好有懷舊feel，我order左一個豬扒包，因為我坐係較接近水吧，我看見豬扒包係由水吧師父負責，見佢好有心幾把材料整好然後中央切一刀，放上碟，見到都流口水。一大啖咬落去，塊豬扒仍然熱辣辣，內脆外軟。超正。沙律醬唔太多唔太小，啱啱好。下次又多一個地方歇腳啦。這裡有一樣唔好，菜單suppose有啲set，但係週末係不可以叫的，並且，價錢都算係偏貴（無計啦，對面就係利苑, 希望佢地唔好輸比地產霸權啦）。

去銅鑼灣食嘢, 選擇好似好多, 但剔除咗啲連鎖店之後, 發覺本地小店真係買少見少, 有時寧可行多兩步去幫襯啲細鋪, 杯水車薪地希望用行動,作為對本地商店的小小支持.新英記雖然有啲舊, 但乾淨企理, 連厠所都好乾淨.下晝五點幾, 未有晚餐, 但餐牌啲乜飯物飯都係三十幾蚊, 叧加飲品, 五十零蚊可以出門口.因為未肚餓, 所以點了下午茶餐.有三文治, 熱狗, 烏東之類, 一律三十蚊, 包一杯熱飲.熱狗餐, 落單時阿叔好細心問使唔使切開兩邊, 又好喎, 熱狗外型已經好靚, 香腸熱辣辣, 下層有好新鮮的蕃茄+爽脆青瓜,簡簡單單好滋味,奶茶是水準以上.絕對值得幫襯.
