The Michelin Guide. Sometimes I'll try to visit a place listed in the guide. One such place is 新園興記燒臘飯店 (English name: Sun Yuen Restaurant). Listed as a Bib Gourmand, the place has been around since the 70s. A regular Hong Kong style roast meat place, it's often very busy. And we were curious. Why the Michelin recommendation?The place is definitely not fancy. Just a regular old style roast meat restaurant. The menu is English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. Along with roast meat items, they have very typical cha chan teng items as well.We came for afternoon tea time where there is a discount. $39 each for one type of roast meat item along with your choice of noodle and a drink.This is the soy sauce chicken. And it was delicious! The skin was not too fat but it was glistening and heavily flavored. The meat was moist and tender. The broth had a drizzle of the roast meat oil and it came with some vegetables. Portion was generous and the rice noodles not over cooked.The char siu was quite good as well. The right balance of fat to meat. It was not overly sweet and sticky like some places but it was well flavored.A cheap price for good quality food. 地區小店,以為係好嘢,原來又是沽名釣譽的品牌,看到燒味以為有實力,原來我只買個飯盒,便不會有好嘢比你,送例湯,返到去打開一睇,真係好差燒肉……頭頭尾尾砌埋燒鵝……鵝肉黑色飯……微熱名過於實,不要浪費時間,吃不是損失,再不會有下次! 繼續閱讀

呢間新園興燒味,可以話係由我懂事以黎,已經見到佢😄睇到佢嘅裝修,已經知佢歷史悠久,我最愛就係佢個⭐️油雞瀨粉⭐️,由佢10幾蚊一碗,食到今時今日嘅$38!呢度可以話係冇乜服務可言,喺度堂食,店員唔會俾你問多兩句,如果你叫嘅係叉燒,想問佢攞姜蓉?No way😅!佢會直接答你 有油雞或切雞先會配俾你😅講返點解我咁愛呢度嘅⭐️油雞瀨先~佢嘅油雞非常之嫩滑,就算係雞胸位都好有水準,個皮唔會好似外面嘅油雞咁深色,但係又非常之夠味,甜豉油嘅比例啱啱好!而且係用上幼身嘅瀨粉,即叫即煮,所以口感好好!希望佢一路都保持呢個水準,等我可以間中都食下😋 繼續閱讀

新園興記燒臘飯店 今日經過 順便買啲燒味試下 要咗半斤燒腩仔要90蚊返到屋企打開睇睇 原來90蚊嘅燒腩仔加加埋埋都唔夠20舊 輕飄飄裏面重疊埋豬骨 之前都會有幫襯現在感到非常失望。 繼續閱讀

上環呢間新園興記燒臘飯店呢,我有好多同事都話唔錯,其實都唔只我同事,我自己都有段時間日日都食佢,只係當時未開始寫食評姐。所以到依家先寫番🤪好典型嘅燒臘檔啦,大大個櫥窗,d燒味掛起哂🤘🏻🤘🏻我呢d懶人,都係買外賣拎番公司食,食完就恰番陣。38蚊雙拼飯,仲有碗湯👍🏻👍🏻我就叫左叉鴨飯,先講個白飯,個白飯好熱,真係好熱,燙口架,同埋夠乾水,我鍾意呀!個鴨呢,皮脆,肉嫩,又唔會好鹹,啱哂我!之後到叉燒,平時佢d叉燒有時會肥少少,但係d肥肉係脆口爽口,唔會一pat pat咁架,今日就瘦d但係都唔會話好乾好柴好似麻筋咁,食落都好稔,好香肉味👍🏻值得一試!最後,今日個湯係西洋菜湯,飲到落底係有肉ge,都叫真材實料,ok la 繼續閱讀
