Not as familiar with the menu choices available at this restaurant (seems mostly Chiu Chou); so I ordered an old favorite: Yeung Chou Fried Rice. The rice was quite well done and I was especially impressed with the fact that most of the meat was muscle - with little if any fat. It was not only more healthy, but also made me feel that I was getting better value for the meal. Somewhere through the meal, I discovered one of the shrimp pieces was partially armored. No big deal, and easily avoided. The quality of the dish was still high and well balanced. However, I felt that it could have been a bit less oily. Of course, there is the expectation that fried rice should be oily to a certain extent; I merely feel that a small reduction would really liven the taste of the dish considerably! Service was prompt and courteous. The tea could have been a bit more flavourful and/or at least stronger in order to balance the oil of the rice. But, this may be fanciful on my part. The price is a bit steep compared to a typical chan ting (HK cafe), but the location and quality almost certainly necessitate a premium for this staple dish. …查看更多
