Autumn breezes have come and it’s time for Claypot Rice! Hère I am at Kwan Kee, to try out what’s recognised as the top 3 “Bo Jai rice” in Hong Kong: 白鱔排骨飯White eel and spareribs rice, seasoned with fermented soybean paste, spring onions and chilli. Their signature dish was so worth the 30+ minutes wait! 臘味田雞飯Chinese cured meat and frog legs rice. The preserved sausages 臘腸 were sweet and juicy, plus 潤腸 were creamy and aromatic. Frog legs was so smooth and meaty!椒鹽九肚魚Freshly made to order deep fried pepper salt “Bombay duck” fish. Topped with garlic and chilli, this is the definition of 避風塘 “typhoon shelter” flavour of HK! FYI, I arrived at 5:45pm and battled with numerous aunties and uncles to squeeze in for the 1st round. 天氣開始轉凍,係食煲仔飯嘅時候啦!西環坤記煲仔飯遠近馳名,晚晚都排晒長龍。今日禮拜日,特相約好友嚟到食個煲仔飯,暖一暖個肚。雖則話夜晚開六點,我同好友未到六點已係坤記附近,便慢慢行過去。去到都未夠六點已經見到舖頭入邊原來已經有兩三枱客坐喺度啦,逐唔使排隊冇訂位已經可以入坐。坐咗唔夠十分鐘,已經坐滿人。所以如果你唔想排隊呢,末夠六點要嚟到喇!同好友都鍾意食白鱔,故淨係單獨叫咗個白鱔煲仔飯,另加$20潤腸,而冇叫雙拼白鱔煲,以免白鱔份量減少😅。由於單叫,白鱔份量算多,件件都好肥美好滑,啖啖肉,由於加咗潤腸,冇落晒成碗豉油,以免過咸。我哋等到個煲仔上枱先再叫另一個餸,荷芹炒臘味。如果兩個一齊叫,相信差唔多食完碟小菜個煲仔先至上,好似隔離枱對男女,見佢碟小菜都差唔多食完,追過侍應兩三次個煲仔飯都未到。由於實在太好食啦,我同好友好快已經K.O.左個煲仔飯,故再叫多個「靚仔」,再撈埋個豉油,先至夠飽 🤣。白鱔、潤腸、飯焦、荷芹臘味、加多2枝樽裝可樂,呢餐實在太滿足啦! 繼續閱讀

坤記煲仔小菜 (皇后大道西)8/10👍🏻 記得一定打電話去卜位先呀!好味係要等架。雖然非炭燒,老闆嫌瓦煲易裂,找來成本更貴的瓷煲,又以火山石代替炭火,老店在傳統中一直求變。煲仔飯用上了三種米混合而成,均勻地塗在瓦煲底的油滲透於飯內,米飯吃起來特別香滑軟糯;控制得宜的時間與火候令飯焦變得十分香脆。白鱔滑雞飯7/10👍🏻白鱔同雞都好滑臘腸牛肉飯9/10👍🏻加咗立場嘅油落飯都特別特別特別特別有油香,牛肉入味軟腍,咁樣先係心目中完美嘅煲仔飯☺️ 繼續閱讀

Called in my order at 6p and still waiting for my clay pots at 8p. She made me pay them then told me to come back wait another 20min. I came back and still nothing! While those sitting got clay pot rice already. Sorry not sorry, won’t come back again. 繼續閱讀

秋風起🍂又係時候食煲仔飯🍚今次去坤記等咗大概15分鐘就有位,好好彩!坤記有兩間,通常啲人話舊舖好食啲,自行決定喇。叫咗白鱔滑雞煲仔飯加咗臘腸同雞蛋🥚同埋椒鹽九肚魚,配返支啤酒🍻先上椒鹽九肚魚,炸漿薄得嚟夠酥脆,九肚魚肉好綿,一流🥰加埋啤酒一齊飲,好爽!然後就等主角煲仔飯。一上煲仔飯,個哥哥就好好服務態度咁問你洗唔洗打開煲蓋,咁就大意咗喇😫其實最好就焗多佢一陣再喺煲邊到倒豉油,先係最多飯焦。將甜豉油同雞蛋撈飯,加埋飯焦,成個飯都好有米香,好好食。鱔同雞亦都滑同入味。 繼續閱讀
