Chinese New Year was  fast approaching  and we decided to have our new years eve gathering by having hotpot. As most places were very full, we chose a new one called 台酒鍋 (English name: Taiwan Drunk Pot) as there we were still able to get reservations. It's an all you can eat Taiwanese style hot pot. Price is dependent on the grade of meat and starts at $238 and includes one soup base. Additional soup base is an extra $40. Time limit? 120 minutes.  As it was a celebration, we decided on Level 3 which cost $358. This included beef short ribs, prime grade beef, Spanish White Pork Batalle and New Zealand Lamb Shoulder.Menu is in Chinese only. Ordering of meat and other items like snacks are by a QR code. This is also in Chinese only but they do have photos of all the items.You can also add on all you can drink Taiwanese beer for $48.They have various soup bases to choose from. We decided on two: Tomato and Ginseng Chicken.The actual restaurant is located down a flight of stairs in the basement area of the building. It's not exceptionally big but you still didn't feel too cramped.The buffet area is where there a number of other hot pot items like balls and vegetables. All labels are in Chinese only but you can pretty much figure it out.In the middle is the sauce station. The most interesting is you can choose Taiwanese and Hong Kong soy sauce. People who are soy sauce enthusiasts would love the Taiwanese one more as it was a bit more umami taste.The fridge contained a variety of nonalcoholic drinks and some were from Taiwan.They also offer hot tea in tea bags.The ice cream was also all you can eat. Most places only give you one at the end of the meal. Here you can just go crazy.The two soup bases had plenty of ingredients included. The tomato soup was exceptionally rich. But I loved the ginseng one more as it was not too herbal in taste but it was still fragrant enough.We ordered some snacks like popcorn chicken and fried sausage wrap. Not too oily and piping hot so it was made to order. The chicken was lightly seasoned and juicy.Seafood was also available such as fish, clams and the popular mince fish stick. Items were fresh and well cleaned.The Fish Skin was very crunchy and is the thin kind.The prawns were really huge! Most places it's usually small but these were actual tiger prawns.The meat quality was very good with nice marbling. The best was the beef short rib. Not only melted in your mouth but had a hefty beef taste.The Spanish pork was very soft and tender even after cooking it forever.Other items like dumplings and deep fried beancurd could be ordered in small portions so nothing was wasted.Food quality was quite good and the place was clean and tidy. Buffet area was constantly checked and refilled. Orders we made were also not missed and arrived quickly. There wasn't much of a delay. Will definitely be back. 繼續閱讀

最近喺油麻地開咗間台式火鍋,朋友約我去試吓,正好呢排天氣又凍返,打邊爐不失為一個好選擇。一入到餐廳見到馬賽克磚製成嘅燈罩,美輪美奐。就快新年,所以餐廳都播放應節的新年歌曲。牆身有啲小清新激勵字句,打卡一流。醬料、蔬菜﹑丸類、飲品甜品都可以喺自助吧拎,令人驚喜既喺movenpick 雪糕任食,真係好少見火鍋店會將movenpick任攞。Level 3 套餐 $328我哋揀咗Level 3套餐,同埋加咗$40要咗個鴛鴦湯底,我哋揀咗佢哋推介嘅沙茶豬筒骨湯同埋蕃茄湯,正好一濃一淡,沙茶豬筒骨湯味道濃郁,蕃茄湯底清新,湯底都用唔少番茄,用料實在。點解我地選擇Level 3套餐呢?其實喺衝住有得任食美國prime grade牛小扒同埋西班牙伊比利亞黑毛豬。美國prime grade牛小扒肉質滑嫩﹑牛味濃郁,而西班牙伊比利亞黑毛豬爽口入味些,放落沙茶湯底滾一滾入曬個口度。海鮮同樣可以任食,當中覺得帆立貝同大蝦質素不錯。帆立貝大粒鮮甜,大蝦肉質爽口彈牙。除咗火鍋配料之外,仲可以任點台式小食,當中最有印象莫過於府城蝦捲,熱辣辣上枱,外層炸得香脆﹑內裏蝦肉彈牙,好食到我地都點咗幾轉黎食啊。見到餐廳有售賣台灣小食,忍唔住都買咗幾包,未有得過去台灣住啊嘛。如果再加$48元可以任飲台式啤酒,可以約多幾個frd一齊過來飲返杯先。 繼續閱讀

今天相約朋友去旺角吃台式火鍋放題。火鍋店內裝修新,清潔衛生,座位寬敞,冷氣足夠,店員服務殷勤。 有四款放題,價格介乎於208元至438元之間,我們二人均選了Lv2套餐,每位288元,另外加了40元升級為鴛鴦湯底。如果加48元,可升級為台灣特色啤酒任飲,有十多款啤酒。蕃茄濃湯豆腐雜菌鍋,材料主要包括有蕃茄、冬菇、雞脾菇和芫茜,湯味有少少酸,開胃。肉骨茶鍋,中藥味輕微,材料主要包括有豬肋骨、豬手、紅棗、杞子和芫茜,湯味沒有過咸。食物及飲品的款式很多,部份用手機落單,部份需前往自助區領取。特別推介以下火鍋食物:封門柳,油花分佈均勻,牛味濃郁。美國Prime Grade牛板健,肉質爽口,牛肉味濃。美國Prime Grade牛肩胛,牛肉味濃,有嚼勁。西班牙Batalle白豚肉,肉嫩美味。鬼馬老油條,外層香脆,內層蝦滑彈牙。香茜魚皮角,特色美食,爽口美味。魚皮蝦餃,特色美食,彈牙美味。其他火鍋配料種類繁多。熟食食物也有很多款,其中香脆雞腿捲外層炸得香脆內層肉嫩、府城蝦捲外層炸得香脆內層蝦肉彈牙蔬菜爽口。熱飲有四款熱茶,包括荔枝、玫瑰、白桃和桂花茶包,其中桂花茶香氣撲鼻。凍飲有多款罐裝和紙包飲品。此外還有多款雪糕和雪條。 繼續閱讀

天氣轉涼,亦是吃火鍋的季節~ 相信不少人都喜歡任食火鍋,但任食往往令人感覺食材不夠新鮮,今次我和朋友發掘了這間任食火鍋,選擇種類多之餘,食物水準更是高!湯底選擇了鴛鴦湯底 (+$40) —醉雞和酸菜白肉,前菜有紅棗及杞子等配料,雞肉嫩滑;後者味道香濃,不過酸菜白肉辣味和鹹味會比較突出~ 肉類方面,必定要試A5北海道和牛!和牛薄切易熟,口感嫩滑,吃得出質素!而且有個人超喜歡的牛胸爽😍 是一般市面上比較少見的部位,口感爽脆,油香而不膩,必試!愛吃豬肉的要試試黑毛豬,口感同是嫩滑,沒有肥肉,叫完一碟又一碟!朋友喜歡海鮮,十分推介蠔和帆立貝!顆顆大粒,而且口感扎實,極滿足🤤 花枝和蝦滑亦同樣不錯,我和朋友都點了幾次,吃過必定翻尋味!炸物方面有不同台式小吃,可愛的鹽酥雞是小粒粒😂 更有放題必吃的榴槤炸彈!自助吧區有各式蔬菜及丸類,值得一試的是芫荽燒賣,味道特別~ 而且有新鮮鴨血,口感結實細緻,火鍋必備!愛酒人士更可一試各款水果味台灣啤酒 (+$48)!個人推介荔枝味,味道香甜,口感清爽,女生必愛~ 而且酒精含量不高,大家可安心試試更多味道!甜品除了一般雪糕和雪條,更有人氣Movenpick雪糕,當天有朱古力及雲呢拿味~ 吃到極飽,極滿足! 繼續閱讀

近年台式火鍋放題店有如雨後春筍,選擇再亦不再局限於牛大人,最近又再多一間台酒鍋加入戰場,將原來神燈燒的舖位取而代之。除了用手機下單外自助區亦有多款蔬菜、配料、醬料、飲品及雪糕。值得一提的是雪糕款式繁多,連MÖVENPICK雪糕亦可以任食。套餐由$208起分為四個級別,當日選擇Lv4正價每位$468,湯底有人蔘雞鍋、麻辣鍋、臭臭鍋、醉雞鍋、酸菜白肉鍋、肉骨茶、薑母鴨鍋、番茄鍋及沙茶豬筒骨鍋九款,我們則另加$40升級鴛鴦鍋,兩邊分別為麻辣鍋及沙茶豬筒骨鍋。日本A5北海道和牛雖然比較細片,但油花豐腴近乎入口即化,另外亦有美國Prime Grade牛板腱、牛肩胛、牛小排等,以及西班牙伊比利亞黑毛豬、紐西蘭羊肩肉等牛肉以外的選擇。海鮮包括虎蝦、沙白蜆、生魚片、帆立貝、深海魚柳、小花枝、廣島蠔等,手工蟹子蝦滑爽彈鮮美,帆立貝巨型厚肉亦值得推薦。其他配料亦不乏特色選擇,例如鬼馬老油條、手打黑松露花枝滑、香茜魚皮角、魚皮蝦餃等,港式火鍋必點的雞子、牛骨髓等都一應俱全。炸物包括黃金芋泥球、鹽酥雞、雞腿捲、甜不辣、手抓餅多款台式小食,當中尤其推介黃金芋泥球及榴槤炸彈,黃金芋泥球有別於一般放題的紫心香芋丸,反而真真正正充滿綿密芋泥。 繼續閱讀
