Came back in March to find it’s all still the same. Friendly waiter, cute happy waitress, and really really good seafood. I’ll let you in on a secret.. their spring roll and shrimp cake in their deep fried platter is made just with freshly minced shrimp! Soooooooooo good!!! Gotta try it out!!!

There are many chic places in Sheung wan to sit and have a couple of drinks and a bite to eat but honestly this has to be one of my favorite place to have beer (the Hong Kong way) and have great chinese dishes to snack on. Ever since I found out about this place I’ve been coming back every Saturday for beer (blue girl) and the waitress (really cute and friendly) to give me her recommendation for the day. I prefer seafood and I leave the rest up to her to decide. For the quality and the friendly atmosphere you get, you really can’t beat this price. It feels nostalgic and I really wish people who aren’t local to come here and get a taste of what good ol’Hong Kong restaurant is like here. I suggest, if you speak Cantonese, to talk with the cute waitress to ask for recommendation. In this day and age where everything is franchise and branded, I can’t help but long for these restaurants! Can’t recommend enough!!

Small western restaurant in Tuen Mun.

I come quite often, and the food is quite good. This small restaurant fills a
spot as all the restaurant around this area is Cha chaan teng, thai food, Japanese
food. It’s nice to have a proper western food restaurant. Had the beef
wellington and seafood spaghetti share between 2 people.

It’s good. I think they use whole grain mustard instead of
yellow mustard which is a nice touch. The cream sauce that comes with it is
nice and creamy.  For the price, I think it’s a good deal. 
Seafood Spaghetti is good.  $158
Good. I think this shop does pasta quite well. Cooked just right “al dente”.  
We have joined the VIP before, so we have 15% discount for all meals and drinks.  If you live close by I highly recommend joining the VIP. 
The VIP card can also be used at the other bar-dining place just 15 sec
away by walking (same owner).

The people in the shop is quite friendly and sometimes gives us free drinks or snacks.

あまり人の気のないところにポツリと変わったお店。
入ってみるとバー？

聞いてみるとフュージョン居酒屋だそうで。
勢いの良い香港人のオーナー？がバンバンと色々これが美味しい、あれが美味しいと進めてくる。
良かれと思い、色々オッケーして出てきた食べ物がこれ。

タコわさ、ごぼう、キムチ、ニンニクのみそ漬け、玉ねぎの赤ワインづけ

あらま。こんなの出されたら飲むしかないと日本酒を頼む。
香港人のおじさん普通に日本酒をビン事持ってくる。（笑）
これ一人で飲めって！？日本人の店長さんもいるみたい。お酒はその人が選んだみたいだけど、まぁ
僕も良く分からないから適当に選んでもらう。
一緒に飲んでやるからと結局１ビン注文。いいずら。780hkd
ひとくち。あ～良い酒だ。うまい。一人で一本飲めなくないけど、ちょっと多いな。（帰る時に
”小さい300mlのもあるよ～”って、そっち先に持って来いよ（苦笑）
小さい方は280hkdとお手頃な値段。まぁ人数いたら大きい方が良いけど。
なんか牡蛎が来た。半熟ウィスキー牡蛎だって。
まずは汁を飲めと。。。お～うまい。なんか出汁使ってる！？昆布出汁かな？

牡蛎もうまい。日本の牡蛎だって。結構サイズも良く。とにかく堪能する

ちびちびやってると今度は肉が欲しくなる。
牛タンと鳥はつ注文。
こりゃ～やばい。うまい！
香港で串焼きをよく食べるけど、結構香辛料強めのものと甘ったるいタレを塗ってあるものが多い。
ここの牛タンとはつは塩オンリー。うまい。
歯ごたえも良い感じ！

酒が進む。

おっちゃんのおかげで一応酒は飲み終えたものの、結構飲んだ。笑
ちょっと高かったけど。今度知り合いと一緒に来ようと思う。
屯門にこんな変なとこがあるなんて。びっくり。
オーナーの人柄と良い、内装と良い、なにやらいろんなストーリが繰り広げられる感じがした。

I went there with my family and friends for dinner. 

I was expecting it to be very cold on the boat but I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the temperature was. Cool but not too cold. 

It's not a big boat by any means but big enough for everyone to spread out and relax. Very cozy and laid back. 

The view was great! I'm guessing the view is even better when the sun is just setting. For me the night scenery was calm and relaxing. It really is nice to get away from the busy life once in a while. It's nice that I could do so easily without the expense and the hassle of going overseas. 

OK. So the dining experience!

We had the following dishes:

1. Steam Fish and vegetable - fish was tender and flavorful 

2. Fried Tofu

3. Razor clams - One of my favorite dishes of the night. So delicious. 

4. Roasted Goose - Crispy skin, lots of fat, probably the best Roasted Goose I had in my life. 

5. Turban Shellfish in spicy soup - I've never really like eating these shell fish but this was surprisingly flavorful. I ended up eating a lot of it. 

6. Fried E-mian noodle 

7. Salty fish and chicken fried rice - This really hit the spot. It's the carbohydrate that settles everything!

8. Stir-fried Crab - Excellent flavor. 

The food was so good I totally forgot to take pictures. 

The same dinner would easily cost a lot more in Lei Yue Mun and I can say that the food here on the little wooden boat is excellent. I also think dining on the boat is very neat. 

Oh! and another wonderful surpise was that there was a handsome gentleman playing piano and singing on a boat next to ours while we were dining. The piano player knows a lot of songs so we took turns singing after the meal was over.

Honestly we had such a happy time on the boat.
We'll surely go back in for our next family gathering!

A friend suggested me to try out this restaurant so I decided to go with my two colleagues. 

It's located / hidden in the 6th floor of the industrial building. 

Interior. 
I think the interior is normal. The arrangement of the tables were kinda weird. Here is what they call as 1/2 buffet. Just some veggie and tomato soup. I can't even call this salad bar! There was a tray full of overcooked veggies. The drinks are included in the "1/2 buffet". Some orange juice, apple juice, tea, coffee etc.
I had the orange juice. It was basically orange colored water. 
Apparently their seafood is what seems to be popular I ordered the sashimi rice ($58). Now for $58 I didn't expect it to be great. What I got was really shocking.All the sashimi were warm and disgusting. Obviously the cuts of the fish were really bad. The scallop tasted like rubber. It was even served in a plastic container. 
My colleague tried the cha-siu ramen ($58).It was so bland, the soup tasted like a watered down soup from an instant noodle pack. The cha siu had this really weird smell. (I think it was rotten). He literally took 2 slurps and was done with it. 
For $58 I could've have gotten a really decent lunch at a nearby restaurant like torazo とら蔵、or I could have gotten a much better meal at any local restaurant.

I'm guessing that they serve higher quality meals for dinner so I'm guessing that their lunch service is basically a way to make profit out of left overs and food scraps from dinner. It was really the worst food I had in a while.

I had chasiu ramen (62hkd), gyoza (30hkd), and a can of Orion beer (22) + 10% service charge. Total 125hkd.

The bad stuff.

Gyoza. Soggy skin. Burnt on the button. Horrible presentation. Not worth the money.

The ramen. 

Actually for 62hkd I think it's alright. Noodles were wavy and plain. The Menma was ok. There were spring onion and alfalfa on it which was also ok. No egg but that's ok as well.

What I liked. The chasiu. Really thin slices and when I got it I was very skeptical but it actually works. This is going to be a hit or miss for a lot of people. I personally enjoyed it.

The girl who took my order was unattentative and made me feel uncomfortable. The staff in the kitchen were giggling and playing around. Not the best atmosphere. Overall you can skip the side dishes and beer and just go for the ramen although if you were willing to pay 20hkd you might have a better experience at ramen champion or something.

Ordered Deluxe Ramen set for lunch. It comes with a side and a drink for over $60. You get to choose dumpling or sushi for side-dish and coffee or tea for drink. I chose dumpling and ice-coffee.First the ramen. 
The broth is a little watered down for my liking. The deluxe comes with a bunch of different meat. Japanese ni-buta/cha-siu, pork neck meat, pork w/ cartlige, egg, kelp, naruto, negi. The broth and the kind of noodles they use is a mismatch. None of the meat went well with the broth or the noodles. Like none of the elements were working together to make this a complete bowl of ramen. What did I expect for a bowl of ramen under $100? Surely not much but a little more than this.

The dumpling.
They served it cold and the skin was tough. It was disgusting.

The drink.
Ice-coffee was alright.What can you expect from a $60~70 Ramen set? Depends on where you're at. I don't like Ajisen Ramen but I'd choose that over the Yukiguni Ramen any day in terms of taste. In terms of real Ramen fun, I'd suggest you go check out Ramen-Champion. I should've chosen to eat at some other restaurant but there is always a first for everything.
