買咗一盒雜錦cinnamon bun 返屋企,跟着指示放入微波爐叮20秒,立刻食得。佢的cinnamon 味道與坊間的不甚相同,味道更鮮明!之前在加拿大吃過,完全係為我這種cinnamon bun 愛好者而設。而家終於等到香港都有得賣!個包本身是鬆鬆軟軟、煙煙靱靭,唔會好似出面好多其他地方咁個外層好硬!因為都落左幾多cinnamon, 所以味道都好濃!另外,朱古力味亦都好食,cinnamon 味比原味淡一點,但整體味道都好得!不過我都係最鍾情原味😋…查看更多

剛看到他們的facebook網上訂有75折,一行四人放工來聚一聚!我這個海鮮控第一時間攻海鮮!原來有大大隻龍蝦同鱈場蟹腳。龍蝦非常爽,沒有那些肉霉的感覺;蟹腳剪開後啖啖肉,都很新鮮。值得一提那年輕女待應看見我們在吃海鮮,馬上給了我們餃剪、濕紙巾及紙巾,酒店服務係體貼D嘅!第二碟海鮮包括蟹蓋、生蠔及翡翠螺。生蠔每次只可以拿2隻,所以都來回了好幾次先回本!唯獨翡翠螺有D沙,沒有再encore!鱼生方面,三文魚肥美,帶子、北寄貝、甜蝦都新鮮!食完生冷野,飲左碗燉湯,內有黨参、圓肉、杞子及瘦肉。湯夠熱及很甜,可能是放了很多圓肉的原故!每人每次可拿一份的鵝肝牛柳,墊底有黑松露薯蓉,可見牛柳上的鵝肝厚身大件,唔覺意食左3份。瓦煲仔內有炆羊腩,唔韌唔 "穌",仲有枝竹、冬筍、冬菇!個人立即暖哂!古古怪怪有個爐,原來自助串燒!我寧願拿些已燒好的,懶得等!終於都到到甜品時間。剛剛有熱騰騰窩夫,於是自製Haagen Daz雪糕窩夫配雜果及nuts!旁邊的朱古力撻是意料之外有很濃朱古力味…查看更多

舊地重臨,相比我上次來,這一次確實多了些亮點:雜錦魚生飯有三文魚子及海膽飛魚子兩款選擇。師父即切即放上飯面,非常新鮮!另一邊,亦有即開生蠔。可能現在天氣開始凉,夏天時是沒有供應的。既然即開,當然新鮮!雖然只有一款Irish Rock, 但非常新鮮及有淡淡海水味!那晚總吃了一打,之後亦沒有不適。當我地正大吃大喝的時候,侍應突然每人奉上一份煎鵝肝。原來四位或以上就有!都算係當晚一個小驚喜。餐廳呢兩有個月做緊上海食物promotion. 很喜歡他們有雲吞雞。每碗也有一只雲吞,一塊雞件及一棵小棠菜。另外,亦試了鎮江骨,小籠包及炒年糕。這些都是比較大路,反而上海甜品更有趣:八寶飯,酒釀丸子及綠豆糕。丸子質地軟糯,糖水不太甜!還有,每位一隻免費大閘蟹!細就細D,但係鉸剪、濕紙巾樣樣工具一齊送上,抵讚!…查看更多

Sushi Sase has a very discreet entrance and you cannot expect anything from the outside, including quality and price!Lucky it was a Saturday lunch only and I can at least select the cheapest lunch set, that is HK$480+.  Well, I have to say it's very expensive but once for awhile, just a treat for myself.The 12 piece sushi set include a variety of fish and all the seafood quality is superb.  But you have to be careful about which sushi chef made your sushi.  The first time I had the Japanese lady who made my sushi and the rice was intact while the 2nd time I had a Chinese chef who made the sushi, the rice was a bit loose.One of the sushi was wild salmon and I usaully do not eat salmon.  But their salmon tastes unusual as it is soft and the fatty party is not obvious.The best is the toro and uni sushi.  The fat on the toro is evenly spread and the texture is very soft and melt in the mouth.  Although the uni isn't taken out from the shell but from a frozen box, the quality is still very good, fresh and with the smell of sea water.  There are a lot of times lower quality uni is stinky. …查看更多

我的至愛鵝肝及雞蛋終於回來了

剛巧有外國朋友到訪,又想有景,又想飲酒,又想hea吓,所以揀了ToTT’s。兩星期多前book諗住一定冇問題,點知要wait list ,最終都冇哂窗口位!飲品發現香檳轉左係Veuve Clicquot,當然甜味適中,氣泡細緻,另外亦有Fruit Punch, 鮮榨橙汁、西柚汁、西瓜汁及Bloody Mary。飲品選擇算很多。冷盤蟹腳,蜆,大蝦都很新鮮而且亦很快便補充,蟹腳尢其鮮甜。侍應非常體貼,看見我們碟上有蟹腳,便馬上送上鉗,鉸剪及濕紙巾。魚生分別有三文、吞拿及立魚。個人最喜歡的反而是吞拿魚沙律及多款凍肉及西班牙火煺。即煮攤檔我的至愛煎鵝肝終於回歸!!廚師即席香煎,香滑味濃。膽固醇過高都沒辦法!另外,廚師亦會依照客人喜好烹調各式雞蛋,Poached egg with Hollandaise sauce是近期難得酸度適中的醬汁。燒牛肉配Yorkshire pudding ,個人覺得Yorkshire pudding才是主角,帶有蛋香,加上gravy,最於忍不住吃了兩個。至於意粉,真的吃不下了!熱盤有羊鞍及龍脷,但因太飽,所以沒有試!甜品Macaron 試了raspberry 及pistachio,兩款都不錯,不會太甜。比較驚喜是一款綠茶mousse撻。…查看更多

路過全新Leighton Centre發現有Fiat車店,一點也感意外。但看真點樓上那層竟多了一個副產品,意式Cafe。當初抱着懷疑態度,車店內的Cafe也不會怎樣好,但吃下來才知全是有心人之作。廚房採取開放式,廚師工作一日了然,看見他們有條不紊地準備食物,心中已沒有那麼擔心。侍應非常誠懇地介紹各款菜式,抵讚。是日點了其他食評也有提及的無花果拼乳清芝士伴白松露菌蜜糖無花果新鮮配上Ricotta cheese味道諧和,加上淡淡蜜糖增加甜味。但不覺有任何白松露菌香氣。燴意大利肉丸配米形意粉肉丸是手剁的,加上香草調味,所以有咬勁及芳香。米形意粉看似米飯,烹調恰到好處, al dente。但因意粉細少及以橄欖油烹調,需小心咀嚼,不以為然便會滑到氣管那邊。火腿風乾番茄,火箭菜芝士開面三文治麵包烘至兩面金脆,舖上火腿風乾番茄及火箭菜芝士,淋些橄欖油,已是一道美味的午餐。…查看更多

The restaurant is located under the escalator so it doesn't have much street appearance and I believe it is already the 3rd restaurant that opens in this location after the failure of the other two.InteriorThe restuarnat has a very high ceiling with a few big red lanterns hanging down. Also, along the wall there are quite a few contemporary art pieces. It sets up a contemporary dining experience which obviously caters for the westerners' market.Appetizer:Sliced abalone mushrooms & sliced cucumber with signature sauceA very refershing and crunchy combination which is good for the appetide. But the signature sauce was dissappointing as it was only soya sauce with a tiny bit of wasabiDeep fried tofu with crispy garlic and spicy salt A very common chinese dish. It is indeed very crispy on the outside while soft inside. The garlic and spicy salt is also a good complement to the tofu.Main course:Sizzling sliced mutton with scallionThe mutton was thinly sliced and it was tender. A lot of the time the meat would have been overcooked but this restaurant was really good at controlling the texture of the meat.Crispy pork spare ribs with home-made black vinegar sauceThis was the best dish in the entire meal. The black vinegar sauce was based on Shanghainese vinegar sauce and added cherry tomato in it. The sauce was well balanced with the scent of Chinese vinegar + a bit of fruit citrus. Compared to traditional sauce, this one seemed to be a little bit watery but stilll taste good. The spare ribs were deep fried before mixing with the sauce so it was still crispy when it was served.Dessert:Ice-cream souffle ballThis one was the highlight of the meal! the vanilla ice-cream inside was as smooth as cream while the outside was freshly deep-fried so it was soft and bouncy! 在銅鑼灣吃廣東菜的地方好像很多,但地方濶落又不需傾談時叫破喉嚨的菜館好像很難找。在新裝修的怡東軒中,好像找對了!飲品:待應遞上茶menu,竟然每款茶品均有介紹,還有中英對照。若需招呼老外就最好不過。點了鐵觀音,茶金黃味香,沖泡得宜。但為飲這杯茶竟等上15分鐘。後來經理解釋因他們先為客人初泡清洗茶葉,我們喝的已是再泡。點心:咖哩海棠這個看似甜點的酥皮卷內裡其實是咖哩海鮮。酥皮真的很鬆化香脆,內裡的餡料亦很新鮮和微辣而已。記得小孩時也吃過這種像花的點心,因工序繁複好像已失存很久,現在竟可尋回,值得一讚點心師傅的功力!金絲海參卷炸麵粉脆卷內有海參,筍絲。這個很香脆且不太油。脆皮燒鵝肉餐包看似一般的脆皮义燒包,除了外皮有點脆還加上些糯米粉,吃時有點煙靱。內裡燒鵝肉有丁點兒香酥味,配合得非常好,有點驚喜。應該是這兒必吃點心!甜品:芋茸西米焗布甸未裝修前已鍾情這甜點,現在有點擔心能否保持水準。布甸端上來時有點失望,因份量少了。但吃下時發現相比以前更香滑,蛋味及芋茸均香濃。若布甸面再焦燶點更香栗茸煎軟餅賣相一點也不像相像中的軟餅,反而有點攪笑。包底煎香,糯米皮腍軟煙靱,內裡栗茸也香,都是不錯選擇。…查看更多

I have heard so much about this restaurant and decided to give it a try (in fact two, first time on Kowloon side) and this time in IFC. Luckily I booked a table in advance and got seated right away.Drinksrdered a lemongrass drink and a Longan iced tea. That busy (at least he thought so since he walked extremely fast) manager told me they might not have iced lemongrass drink so I said if he didn't have any cold one then gave me a hot one. Then when the longan tea arrived without my lemongrass drink, so I thought "ok probably he was too busy to tell me they ran out of lemongrass drink and too busy to arrange a hot one for me". Then suddenly in the middle of my meal, the iced lemon grass drink arrived. both drinks were okay but I would expect the manager could have told me whether they had the cold one or not.Food:steamed spring rolls - terribleIt looked terrible as the spring rolls wasn't tighly wrapped so it looked wobbly. When I ate it, the shredded pork was so dry and hard and it seemed that it was made at least 2 days ago. Signature chicken wings - sooo dryThis dish was supposed to be one of the not-to-be-missed items. The seasoning was very tasty and it was very crispy. BUT the inside was as dry as a chicken jerky! I believe the problem was becuase it was single-boned. The chicken wing became less meaty so the time of cooking was crucial. It became easily over-cooked and this happened both in Central and Kowloon shop.Braised Beef Noodles - authentic Thai street food styleThis was the best I had for the entire meal coz' it reminded of the delicious street food style beef noodles in Bangkok. The soup base was dark and made of Thai fish sauce and other spices, most importantly was a lot of deep-fried pork fat that made the soup smelt good. But as a healthy Hongkongers, I had no choice but picked all these fat out! The thin noodles texture was just cooked to perfect while the different kind of sauces came with the noodle was great too! Burger is not the best in this burger place

Recently I have a very strong burger craving so went with 2 friends although I hate places that don't take reservations. So when I arrived at 6pm on a Saturday evening there was already 10 people in front of me waiting for a table. Luckily we only waited for 10 minutes and got a booth seat. Starter:buffalo wings - very american style that I haven't had such an authentic buffalo wings for so long. The sauce is a little bit spicy while the blue cheese dip was something that cannot be missed especially if you are a cheese lover! But don't expect fresh and tender chicken wings coz' this is not the essense of buffalo wings! Burger (cheese burger & BLT burger):The meat patties in both burgeres were dry and burnt on the edge. So I guess this is their standard but for a burger that is selling at over $90, I expect the meat patty to be much juicier. The bun itself is only so-so, just like an off-the-shelf kind of quality! As this restaurant was mentioned by TIME magazine as one of the top 10 must go places in HK, so this night the four of us gave it a try.Atmosphere:Very interesting wallpaper and paintings on the wall! It created a very homey and cozy feeling with animal paintings on the wall and bird cages hanging up from the ceiling. Service:The three of us wanted to try to Tasting Menu as the menu had too many words while it is quite dark in the dining room, so we were too lazy to pick. However, one of my friends would like to have a la carte but the waitress said we HAVE to have ALL tasting menus. Well, is it a new trend in HK? Anyway, ok then. Then 2 minutes later another seemed to be more experienced waiter came over and said if we were just too lazy to look at the menu, he would like to recommend some dishes for us. Then he explained different appetizers and main courses for us, I really appreciated his professionism and enthusiasm. Also, he came checking twice to see if we liked our food!Appetizer:Foie Gras Terrine with Beetroot saladIt looked very summery with pink radish on the top and some summer flowers as decoration. The foie gras was very smoonth and the sour Japanese radish together with the berry based sauce created a good balacne to the heaviness of foie gras.Roasted Scallop with tunaThe scallop was just roasted to perfect. It was a bit burnt on the outside while inside was still a bit raw which kept the juciness of the scallop. While the tuna was wrapped in bread which was deep fried. The deep fried bread was too oily and it stole the taste of the scallop MinestroneBaby vegetables with tomato broth was a very refreshing start. And there were two pieces of flat ravioli with summer vegetables inside. The ravioli was very thin and it was an interesting and creative twist to an ordinary minestroneMain Course:Fish StewThis is a very good dish. The fish absorbed the sauce that was made my spicy sausage, squid and other fish. It was just cooked and made the fish very juicy.Pork BellyA slow cooked pork belly that was so common all around town. But only once piece of pork belly was tendor and juicy while the other piece was a bit too dry. Also, a few pieces of pork skin was on the side but it was not very crispy. A dish with different part of the same animal seemed to be a new norm in Austrlian cook's trend!Dessert:Vanilla Mille-feuille with rice pudding and thin apple crispIt didn't look like a mille-feuille but a mess of everythihng so the presentation wasn't too appetizing. However, it tasted very good and the rice pudding with thin apple crisp was very creative.Overall:The chef was very experienced in cooking different food to just right while the food presentation still has room for improvement. 為提早慶祝父親節,訂了ToTT's 的Sunday brunch. 因為太遲訂位,所有無得坐窗口位。一坐低,馬上要了香檳,侍應帶來不熟悉的品牌Billecart Salmon 而唔係之前飲開的Moet,頓時有D驚。但係原來此champagne飲落重好過Moet. 第一啖覺得幾酸,但飲落就比Moet醇厚,飲到尾texture 都maintain到,氣泡亦見細緻。後來google search 先知Billcart Salmon係產至家族酒莊,無大量生產,所以自然冇咁出名。輪到食物,當然主打生蠔,非常新鮮甜美,不過只得澳洲蠔,唔知法國蠔係唔係唔啱時候。另外,海鮮重有蜆、Alaska蟹腳、翡翠螺、小龍蝦。蜆出奇地肥美,頗有驚喜。熱盤方面,爸爸激讚燒牛肉,話其他自助餐地方唔會有咁靚嘅貨色,果然食落牛有牛味,冇根兼唔鞋。而我就不斷食即煎鵝肝,異常甘香,真係唯有講句「膽固醇萬歲」!另外值得一提俘cheese嘅選擇,有6-7款,包括brie, Camembert,goat, herb cheese and raclette,算多種類。甜品方面,都有6-8款選擇,cheescake, mango strudel, bread pudding等,其中bread pudding 就最好食。…查看更多

I read a lot of positive comments about this shop so I bought a piece of this peach champagne mousse to the office to give it a try. This tiny piece of cakes costs $35 which is not cheap.The cake has 3 layers - mousse, peach souped in champagne, cake baseThe cake base is very loose and not very moist while the champagned peach lost peach taste but with a bland bitter alochol smell while the mousse just a peach taste mousse that doesn't bring any real peach taste.With the price they charge, I would not go back again. My friend booked a table for lunch in this tiny restuarant in Casuseway Bay and luckily she booked it becuase it was full house on a Friday afternoon.The set lunch starts at $68 and they don't charge 10% service charge.I started with a mushroom soup as my appetizer and it really has hotel quality. the mushroom is blended in the soup while chef added a few pieces of fresh mushroom in the soup to make a twist.My main is a bangers and mash and it is very British. The best thing about this dish is the red onion jam. It lights up the dish and made it less heavy as it's a bit sweet and sour. The best is it comes with dessert but on the menu it said limited supply, first come first serve. We were very lucky to have waffle as dessert. The waffle is very thick. The outer layer is crispy while the inside is still warm and soft. Overall, I can feel that the chef is full of heart who wants to make all dishes delectable and hope customers will come back.
