Place looked clean, furniture and decor looked brand new. They used ingredients that were sub-par, I couldn’t even eat the pork blood in the noodle soup as they tasted like they had been in the freezer for way too long. The noodle soup lunch set cost $91 (10% service charge inclusive).I would not come again. Came here for dinner with a few friends. Good ambience and a very clean environment (including a clean and hygienic bathroom which is always a plus). Food was not too great. We ordered a bottle of sake, beef tongue, lamb rack, mochi with cheese, sake steamed clams, sea snails in spicy sauce, eel rice, and tuna tartare with rice crackers. Whilst the red meat (beef tongue and lamb rack) and the mochi were nicely done and very aromatic, the seafood dishes were disappointing as they were not fresh at all (clams were slightly bitter, eel was tasteless, tuna tartare had the fishy aftertaste even though we ate them as soon as they were served). Furthermore, we were told that the appetizers were complementary and were free of charge. However, to our surprise, we were charged for $68 ($74.8 including 10% service charge) for 2 appetizers which was not very honest and ethical for the restaurant. Also, we were not made aware of the time limit of being at the restaurant, we were asked to leave after dining in for 2.5 hours even though the restaurant was half empty and it was nowhere close to its closing time. After reading all the good reviews here, I decided to give this restaurant a try. I ordered 南瓜雞扒飯. The rice was covered with a lot of buttery based sauce and the chicken chop was slightly fried. Came here for lunch today and there were only 4 staff working at the kitchen. During the most busiest time of the day, this so called fast food place was unable to serve food within a reasonable timeframe (15–20min tops). Today was the second time that I came here. We ordered flat white and cappuccino with poached eggs + avocado toast. Flat white and cappuccino were both smooth and food was delicious and fresh. The ambiance was chill and relaxing. People at the bakery were very nice as well, offered apple slices and nice tea after we finished our meal and coffee. Ordered takeouts 2 times. For both times, we ordered steak with lobster tail. The meal came with 2 side dishes which were plain rice and potatoes. Quality of the food was not great, food was cold despite we picked them up right when the food was ready. Also, the portion of the food was way too small consider it cost over $300. Went there for happy hour with a friend on a Friday night (TGIF!). I previously went to the causeway bay branch and had an amazing experience. So, I was quite looking forward to checking the central branch.. My friend and I ordered 2 beers, mussels with frites, steak tartare and grilled cheese sandwich. Food was awesome even though it was a bit pricey ($840 in total). Not to mention service was so poor considering the price of the food. My friend and I were seated at a table for 4 initially by a waiter but we were told by another staff - the “host” (heavy, grey haired, 5’4, European man) 2 minutes later that “we were not supposed to sit there and that we had to switch seats and share a table with another couple because we did not make a reso ahead of time (he repeatedly mentioned we did not make a reso at least 5 times after). We were also told all tables by the Windows were taken because, again, we did not make a reso (only to find out there were at least 2 tables available by the windows). We got punished for not making a reservation ahead of time. Overall, I did not have a good experience with the staff but we have to be fair, the food was bomb, all the credits go to the hard working chef in the kitchen. If I got to choose who I can give my tips to, no doubt 100% would go straight to the staff in the kitchen. Not coming back. …查看更多

Since this place has received mostly positive reviews here on OpenRice, we decided to give this place a try on a Sunday night for a family dinner/birthday celebration. Upon our arrival, we were seated at a table with very dim lighting (similar to a bar/lounge), and we proceeded to request to be seated at other tables with but wasn’t not available, which was fine... Drinks werent served and a lot of options on the menu were not available either and we weren’t informed until we ordered our food. Service was horrendous as waiters weren’t helpful at all (played the blame game and blamed the kitchen staff) ambience was unwelcoming, etc. will not come here again …查看更多
