Starting off restaurant week with Madame Ching! Have always wanted to pay a visit and here comes the perfect excuse. Personal favourites go to Uni Sprout (2nd pic) and Siu Mei on mashed potatoes(4th pic). Each looks incompatible with each other but real magic happens when they are put together. Neighborhood has been on my bucket list after it has been ranked as one of the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants. Fortunately, we are able to make the reservation same day and turns out everything does live up to our expectations.Frog legs meunière is one of their signature starters. When it arrives, we are so surprised by the size of the frog legs. And what’s more surprising is how they are perfectly fried with a delicate crust while keeping the legs juicy.We are also deadly in love with Aubrac beef hanger steak which are literally the best steak I have in awhile. It certainly wows me when I step in. The place is so artfully decorated with different colour of lightbulbs hung over the ceiling. Food is by no means less impressive nonetheless. Personal favourite is Spinach and Pear salad of which the taste is well balanced with the sourness of the 15 years old vinegar and sweetness of the pear along with the crispy pecan nuts.
