friends and i went for snacks and drinks after watching a drama play in Arts Centre, but was disappointed. seriously they should just tell us they are closed instead coz the entire restaurant was wrapping up from a wine tasting event so all of the staff were busy moving tables around and had no intention to serve, we were brought to their balcony in the boiling summer night (originally told we can switch back indoor after a while but obviously didnt happen)1. No menu was given until we waved for many times and someone finali attend to us2. The young waiter had to be a part time coz she went in 4 times to check what is in each dish/drink we wanted3. The portion of the 5 appetizer were tiny, their 螢光魷魚 were better than I expected though, thats a good thing4. They had little choice of dessert so we ordered one of everything, and then they came back n told us 2 of them actually ran out.5. I am very disappointed with my tea time visit. I was too tired from shopping, my boyfriend knew I wanted to try this place so suggested we should check it out, despite they don't have tea set and was not interested to introduce us what is their signature dish, and not even to hand us a menu, not to mention they weren't pleased when I asked for 2 tap water. We ordered half a dozen of oyster, a burger with fries and a beer. Oysters were decent but the staff had no idea which type of oyster it was. The burger was great. What I really wanted to mention is their POPOVER!!! the thing is I called those YORKSHIRE PUDDING, obviously the waiter had no idea what I was talking about, and I had no idea what she was talking about either. She was pretty rude and totally shocked me, kinda like mocking me for not knowing its called POPOVER! excuse me! Have been here for 3 times actually, let me just be brief for each visitTea for 4 (a saturday in july)- Staff: was patience as we switched tables for 3 times for the best view and took a long time to decide, they were happy to explain each promotion too. - Food: waiters recommended to have tea sets, we ordered a set for 2 person and it was decent for ard $130 per person originallyDinner for 4 (a wednesday in august)- Staff: no dedicated staff to our table means when I told a lady my seafood platter is for maincourse, the male waiter served us as appetizer. Another thing is we asked for a birthday name written on the dessert but it was not served with the dessert at last, we had to ask for it again n they took it out separately, miscommunication among their staff apparently. They took away the bread basket for 3 times and my sister had to ask for it again n again. - Food: Decent for set dinner but the a la carte - Drinks: I asked for a bottle of moscato and it was out of stock, I was a little disappointed. Tea for 2 (a wednesday in august)- Staff: can't seems to get the attention of the waiters as they don't walk by a lot. 打電話去book檯時waiter很細心, 因朋友生日所以問可否有個蛋糕吹蠟燭, waiter說要先問問再call back, 很快就收到電話說ok (因很多hotel都話你出去buffet檯拿切了的蛋糕就ok, 原個上就不ok), 仲問生日牌要寫甚麼名, value added! 不錯!一行8人被安排了2張4人檯, 中間分開方便 出入, 也跟其他客分開, which is good因朋友們談話比較大聲, 而且也離食物不遠但又看不到check in lobby (其實只是在cafe前數米), 若少d人可以ask for sofa seat @ the end of the cafe, 那邊樓底高感覺舒服點食物選擇不多但叫decent, 因用openrice coupon所以才$130+一位很抵食.人地做tea buffet了也沒有赶我們走(location麻麻, 朋友入左電梯找不到restaurant在哪一層)…查看更多

No individual set lunches but sets for 2 available, still a bargain with the assorted meat. As a party of 3, we ordered the 溫泉蛋波菜salad and 牛肉石頭飯 too. The 牛肋骨肉 tasted the best as always, while the 黑MISO牛舌 is reali 韌 and tasted a little funny. The salad was good and the rice wasn’t too soggy. But the more I come to this place (for lunches and dinner) the more I realise they don’t have enough staff. Dinner for 4 after intensive shopping, thought of their dessert set after 10 pm so walked all the way from Canton Road with the weary bodies. Yet guess what?! Their last order is at 11pm (so we got told to rush at 10:40pm) and most importantly BANOFFE PIE ran out!!! That was why I came!!! Anyway, their dinner has always been nice so we still had a bit.We had their chicken skewers, lamb tenderloin, pesto linguine, 2 dessert set (french toast with 3 scoops of gelato, and tiramisu) served with cranberry juice and grapefruit juice. Less chicken than the previous 3 visits but still delicious, lamb is still tender but I shouldn’t have asked for medium coz its indeed a little too pinky, still nice though. Pesto sauce tasted pretty homemade but very oily by the end, always wonder if there’s a solution to this. The gelato we picked were dark chocolate, milk tea and banana fudge, the best was the banana fudge while the milk tea is more very english instead of the local flavour, which is still good and surprising. The tiramisu was just average, afterall, not my ultimate target.(Info not from today, their lamb shank tangellini with port wine is really good, I think its on their special menu but now changed to RED WINE sauce. My sister and her bf came over for lunch, coz I expected it to be a long lunch thus picked this place. The waiters did ask a few times if we’d like to order first but had no problem with us waiting. The set lunches seems pretty big and they were happy if we order 2 sets and 1 snack dish.We had caesar salad with grilled chicken, E2B beef burger (medium) with extra bacon and the sirloin (medium) lunch set (with soup and cheese cake but no drink). The grilled chicken was tender, although only with a few small pieces. The burger was made as requested, it tasted better when hot (as always), the bacon got most of the attention though I must say so it is a must-add topping, the fries were good. The sirloin was below expectation compared to the prior 2 dishes, some tendon attached but the charcoal grill flavor still won my heart. I arrived a few minutes before 1pm and had no difficulty in getting seats especially indoor and no pressure for ordering even when I was waiting for a friend. But floods of people arrived at 1pm and people were staring at my empty table. Anyway, I ordered the daily set, Honey glaxed Chicken Wings served with spaghetti and tomato sauce, together with a cup of coffee. The wings were very homemade indeed and the spaghetti is just 茶餐廳 quality, but it was alright at least with a bit of effort to serve with some assorted veg on the side including zucchini. The coffee smells like over-roasted but tasted alright, just not strong enough for myself though. My friend ordered the beef burger but it took a little longer, the fries were really good, while apparently the beef itself is a little over-cooked. He had a cranberry juice which cost a little more but is already more reasonably priced than the other drinks, compared to the price of the food.The servers were a little slow and inefficient. My colleagues tend to like this cake shop but I find the staff a little unhelpful. The shop was neat and tidy instead of all fancy. Small size cake items are $23 each and I tried the banana cheese. The taste 厚身 but the banana flavour was more like raw banana than sweet ripe banana, but at least its not just using banana flavouring oil coz there were the smallest bits of mash in it. I’d have the cake and ice-cream set normally but I was not feeling very well so only had a chocolate banana drink, really rich, but took them a long time before served, apparently the kitchen was busy although it was a non-peak tea time hour really. The drink itself was really rich but not too sweet which was good.I hate it most is when the washroom locates at the building next door, a forth floor commercial building which the lights were not on and is really creepy. Furthermore are the window seats on first floor, don’t know why they had to install all red spotlights, I felt uncomfortable there really (had to turn on white balance for this pic too)…查看更多
