Went to this nice french place for a well earned dinner, after a good Muay Thai session with my friend We ordered the following: fresh tuna Niçoise salad, chefs platter, mixed tartine platter, French ham emmental and egg galette, and a pineapple waffleThe food was amazing! C'était très délicieux! We started off with the tuna salad, and it was generally quite fresh, the tuna was a bit dry, but did not affect the taste much! The platters were very fresh and appetising. In the tartine platter, they included a tasty crème cheese that I discovered was home made! The galette was amazing with amazing textures and the cheese!! Haha Despite being really full after all the food, we had to cave in to some nice dessert, and ordered a pineapple waffle. It was quite nice and wasn't overly sweet! Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for anyone, whether or be a friends night out or a romantic date! It's nice and comfortable there, and the staff were very accommodating! …查看更多

Went to this lovely place for a meal after work on a Friday for some relaxing and unwinding. My friend and I thought to try a vegetarian place as we felt like a change. The place was a little small, but was very cosy and service was great, perfect for a Friday night meal! For starters, my friend and I picked a pumpkin and carrot soup, which tasted really fresh and nice, and not too salty. For the main I picked a mango rissoto, and it had a good blend of sweet, sour and savouring flavours no  very good rissoto dish which lacked difference to a normal rissoto fish from other places with meat! For dissert we ordered a coco and salsa pudding which is suitable for vegans. The dressers was very tasty, not too sweet, and bearing no difference to disserts not suitable for vegans! Overall despite it being a little expensive, I would recommend anyone to try this restaurant out, whether you are a vegetarian/ vegan or not! People working or studying at the HKU medical campus would often find themselves having meals at the bayview restaurant. I am sorry to say that whilst the price for a meal here is quite cheap, I feel that the food here is too greasy. I previously ordered a seafood fried rice, and I ended up seeing the rice submerged in a pool of I dont know what type of oil after consuming between a half to 2/3 of the rice dish. It was so greasy I could almost see my reflection in the dish! The chinese dishes in general are also quite oily unfortunately. The western food is slightly better, but the salads can do with a little more flavour, sometimes the salads are quite dry and I feel like a cow grazing on the salads!Overall, one should choose carefully what to consume if at bayview. The dishes could be improved if alot less oil and salt were added to them! …查看更多
