To be honest, I was disappointed by the sushi here. There appeared to be many innovative sushi combinations, with quite a lot of variety, and I was looking forward to being impressed. However, none of the sushi were of that high a quality. In fact, most tasted below mediocre. 海膽蝦之戀This sounded cool, but did not taste good. This sounded cool, but did not taste good. The shrimp sashimi was bland, and there was really little urchin – not enough to improve the sushi. Hence, this sushi was rather bland… Even worse, the seaweed was soggy and incredibly tough, implying that the sushi wasn’t exactly fresh, which exacerbated the blandness even more…

蒜香牛舌
I felt that this hot dish was one of the better tasting dishes of the lot. All four pieces of tongue were hot and moist and tender, with nice garlic crumbs.

For $35 a piece, I felt it wasn’t worth it. The beef sashimi wasn’t of very good quality, and was instead tough and difficult to chew. I even had to spit some out after failing to chew through it. The toughness wouldn’t have been too bad if it had a great taste, but unfortunately, it didn’t have much taste at all.

I felt the use of angel hair instead of rice was fairly unique, and the sour-ish flavouring reminded me a bit of thai food. The salmon was somewhat overshadowed, however.

This had a good taste of mangoes… but this is actually all I remember of this sushi. Again, the sashimi aspect of it was poor, such that you couldn’t really tell what sushi it was.

In conclusion, the essence of the sushi – the fish/ meat atop the rice – were in need of big improvement. We found that even with the sushi names listed in the receipt that was left on our table, we were sometimes were not able to identify what was what. For example, I have no idea what this was, and have no recollection whatsoever of what it tasted like :

And of course, I felt that the soggy seaweed was a serious fault.
