This legendary cafe serves everything you can imagine from a cha chan teng in its menu. But the most famous dish is of course the pork with tomato and rice in bread bowl served with some more curry sauce. This dish sets you back $70+ which is considered quite high for such an ordinary setting. It is obvious that decoration is not the chef's main concern as it was basically a bread bowl on a tray. The size is huge though. There is no way you could leave this place hungry after finishing this. Now on to the good. Pork chop was fairly tender and went well with the tomato sauce. I enjoyed the protein with the bread and almost entirely skipped the rice. The bread was crispy on the top part and was great with the pork. The bottom part became soft as it was holding the weight of all rice and pork. Yes, it was delicious and worth the money spent. Would go back again but probably try other classic dishes.
