Nicely tucked in the quiet Gough Street, Gough 40 offers a casual setting (yet quite elegant b/c i think they have chandaliers...). Also nice about this place is their tables can be extended to the patio and would be especially nice to sit there under such warm sunny weather or at night when the weather aint that hot over the summer. The food is fabulous. The food is fabulous. Must go for the seared scallops w/ mesclun, foie gras w/ mesclun for appetizer. As for main course, the lobster liguine (not heavy at all! they don't use cream sauce), clams liguine, lamb shoulder.
The dessert is not too fascinating - usually only 1 or 2 choices. However the apple crumble is quite promising =)
They serve a different menu for lunch. A few choices from their set lunch, value for money as its approx. HKD80 for a set, which includes choice of appetizer (soup/salad), more choices of main course, then i think tea/coffee.
So i guess the average spending per person would be around HKD80 pp for lunch and HKD300-400 pp for dinner exclusive of wine.
