I had noticed there were constant queues outside this shop, and so decided to see what the hype is all about. And by default, ordered a classic beef and tendon rice noodle. Unfortunately, it was not even up to par, even after accounting for an above average expectation. The cut of the beef was fatty with few meat and was not soft to bite (it was relatively chewy). Unfortunately, it was not even up to par, even after accounting for an above average expectation. The cut of the beef was fatty with few meat and was not soft to bite (it was relatively chewy). The tendon although was soft, which is great, was not flavorful, maybe due to insufficient time soaking in broth. The chilli paste was sinewy rather than the classic flakey variant (Chiu Chow). All in all, not worth your time. Perhaps people are queuing for the fish belly congee, as everyone on my table ordered that instead of the noodles. If you want to try a good beef rice noodle, pick another shop.
