A good place for a snack or afternoon tea after a walk around Stanley. There are seats inside the little shop, but you might feel slightly squished for space and would prefer to sit in the outdoor area on the terrace instead, where you get an overlooking view of Stanley.Waffleman serves waffles, brownies, ice cream sandwiches and icecreams, as well as a variety of drinks, mostly cold. Waffleman serves waffles, brownies, ice cream sandwiches and icecreams, as well as a variety of drinks, mostly cold. I had my first ever icecream sandwich- the matcha icecream sandwich. The chocolate chip cookies sandwiching the icecream were crisp enough to sandwich the icecream without cumbling apart and making a mess. The icecream was quite soft and I had trouble eating it together with the cookie as it kept on coming out from one side. I'm not sure whether this is proof of my inexperience or a problem all icecream sandwich eaters face. The matcha flavour wasn't intensely bitter, but not too sweet either.
I didn't order the waffles, but there were some people after me who did. They have 2 waffle machines outside near the counter that were open, but none of the waffles were fresh made as the waffles somehow came from the back in a little room.
