We tried out this new Bar between TST and Jordan. The ambience had very cool vibes with colourful neon lights and metal tables. We were served two drinks, Base Star Martini and Welcome Back to Base. The Martini was served with a fancy bubble smoke and tasted quite sweet. While welcome Back to Base had a very distinct lemon taste. For the main course, we were actually blown away by the food! For the main course, we were actually blown away by the food! It was so good, very much like fine dining.

The slow-cooked octopus was served with a caramelized garlic paste and fried potatoes as a base. The fact that the octopus was slow-cooked definitely made the meat super juicy and tasteful and the caramelized garlic paste added an extraordinary twist to the whole favour! I was also amazed to find out that the potatoes remained as crunchy as they could even though they were served underneath the octopus.

Another thing that made the appetizer refreshing were the Italian tomatoes at the side. They were seasoned with a splash of balsamic vinegar and the zestiness went surprisingly well with the caramelized octopus. They've done a good job on this!

The main they recommended us was slow-cooked Spanish pork belly which was pan-fried at the end just before it was served to us. They've chosen lentils as a base to the pot belly and sprinkled a delicate amount of sauce at the top. The quality of the meat was wonderful and you could definitely taste the alternating layers meat and fat in your mouth. The lentils went well with the meat too, and as one who's not a huge fan of lentils, I still found them delicious and I enjoyed them very much.
