Went to 杏花邨 to visit a friend over the Xmas break and decided to come back to Cafe Paradise for tea. Their tea set menu had changed so that they had one of my favourite desserts on their menu. We decided to try without hesitation. The chocolate lava cake was done quite well as the crust was thick enough with sufficient chocolate sauce flowing out from the interior. It was super rich in chocolate. Very concentrated indeed. The warm chocolate went great with the melting vanilla ice cream on the side with a combo of cold and warm, dry chocolate cake and moist chocolate lava. Very great value for money dessert and even a drink was included in the price.

For tea set, a complimentary daily special drink or lemon tea or lemon water or milk tea was included. There was an option to upgrade to a special drink at $10. So we went for one and picked a smoothie. Their drinks list was quite diverse with a good variety of drinks including coffees, sodas, chocolates, milk etc.

As always, the portion was giant and it was very smooth with some melting lychee sherbet in the middle. The flavour was not artificial at all and not overly sweet. Great value for money.

Their Stone Grill items were always so good that we decided to encore without second thought.

We tried the better steak this time. We could choose rice, pasta or potato wedges to go with the steak. There was an option to upgrade to get a soup, salad, drink and dessert at $30. The tenderloin was very thick and really amused us when served with the cooking sound of the hot stone. I immediately started to cut it after taking photos. The whole tenderloin was so lean and super tender and was quite rich in beef flavour. Eating the beef on its own might be a bit dry but they were so considerate to serve two different sauces on the side which were gravy and garlic sauces. I personally liked the gravy more! Yummy! At a price of $120+10%, I had to admit that the quality of the tenderloin was really good. The portion of the potato wedges was very big and they were freshly deep fried with crispy and well seasoned crust. They went great with the ketchup on the side. Yummy!

In short, all food items were super cheap and of good quality. Service was reasonably efficient and seating was quite comfortable. The two of us managed to occupy four seats on our own. Interior renovations were tidy and clean with fairy tale like decorations.
