It was Chung Yeung Festival and I had a dinner date at this cafe in Mongkok. My dinner partner brought me here and it was my first time to try this cafe. There were two areas, inside with dark green chairs and sofas overlooking their kitchen and outside with light green long sofas. The snack we chose was 冬阴公鱼饼. There were 8 pieces. The cakes were quite elastic and were super well seasoned of 冬阴公 yet just slightly spicy. They went great with the sweet and sour sauce on the side. Nice.
The two mains we chose were 黑椒炸虾天妇罗螺丝粉 and 日式咖喱猪扒饭.
It was so interesting to see the combo of tempura prawn and fusilli. There were 4 cutlet prawns which were freshly deep fried. We both liked the cutlet batter which was super crispy. The black pepper sauce was quite spicy and was more than sufficient for the fusilli. It was my first time to eat fusilli with black pepper sauce. There were a little bit of fresh green sprouts on the plate.
There was a big slice of cutlet pork chop cut into 4 big slices. It was freshly deep fried. The curry was the typical sweet Japanese style with some potatoes and carrots. They went good with the plain rice. Some deep fried garlic was sprinkled on top to enhance texture. There were a little bit of fresh green sprouts on the plate.
The two desserts we chose were 提拉米苏 and 比利时窝夫. We had wanted to try steamed egg white with milk but unfortunately it was not available.

The waffle was slightly warm and it was partly crispy and partly soft. There was a generous amount of chocolate sauce, cream sprinkled with chocolate powder, and chocolate chips as toppings. A very evil dessert. It would have been even more evil with an option to add ice cream.
There was a rich layer of coffee powder on top. Surprisingly this Tiramisu had quite a strong flavour of banana. It was quite a spongy cake and not the typical moist Tiramisu. There were some crispy chocolate rice on the side to enhance texture.
We decided to add $28 to upgrade to chocolate smoothies, Macadamia Nut Chocolate Smoothie and Roasted Almond Chocolate Smoothie. They had such a wide variety of chocolate smoothies.

Both drinks looked alike! The macadamia nut drink actually tasted like hazelnut while the almond drink was less sweet. A piece of crispy vanilla waffle roll was added to each drink. They added some cream and sprinkled some chocolate powder on top. Presentation wise they looked quite nice. They were like iced chocolates with a lot of tiny ice cubes. Evil drinks but they were like desserts if you don't want to order extra desserts!
We were so full after finishing everything. In addition to the set, there were a lot more choices of food. Prices were not expensive and the food items were mostly what you should expect.
