2個人想chill chill地、唔嘈嘅環境下食好嘢,食下酒傾下計,會諗到上環!每次嚟Three Monkeys都唔使book枱,必嗌嘅Bomb Monkey Rice夠2個人食,如果1個人食又會好膩,加多碟高湯炒雜菜,純粹平衡無咁膩😆Bomb Monkey Rice有溫泉蛋、鵝肝、海膽,其實碗飯唔大,但d餸好足料!

Horrible service from the waiters and manager, who doesn't know the price of whisky, a bottle of Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt they ask for $6800 HKD, where it normally cost less than $500 HKD. And I asked them to double check, the manager said it's 6800. When I told them that they might have been looking at the 21yr, rather than the Pure Malt, the waiter gave a disgusted look, I told him it only cost 500 in Sogo, then he said obviously we are not Sogo as he walked away. We had the $148 Yakitori Lunch Set, the salad and most of the yakitoris were good, but the udon was just ok. This is not a place for a quick lunch, we waited 15-20mins for our yakitoris. It's good for happy hours, they're always having different promotions and it's a nice place to chill. Service wise, definitely needs improvement. The waitress was shy and got my request for no pepper on all my food wrong, although they did redo my yakitoris.

We had the $148 Yakitori Lunch Set, the salad and most of the yakitoris were good, but the udon was just ok. This is not a place for a quick lunch, we waited 15-20mins for our yakitoris.

It's good for happy hours, they're always having different promotions and it's a nice place to chill.

Service wise, definitely needs improvement. The waitress was shy and got my request for no pepper on all my food wrong, although they did redo my yakitoris.

十年前住皇后街的時候,Hollywood Road邊有咁多餐廳咁多選擇嫁, 所以而家間午中都會行返黎喱邊搵食今日就同我男人o係附近的酒吧飲完啤酒, 4圍行下時就發現喱間日式餐廳, 餐廳地下o個層都係比較新潮d的格調, 但樓上就比較普通, 不過樓上就會靜d, o岩曬2個人傾計食野食日本野好似冇理由唔飲Sake , 我自己就唔太知邊d sake 的牌子係好定唔好, 但就識飲得出難飲同唔好飲, 同埋因為我鐘意飲D 凍的sake , 所以多數都會選一d 中間價錢的Sake, 個人認為如果想飲Sake 但又唔想用太多錢o係 Sake 身上, 就可以選平價的sake但就熱上。軟殼蟹沙律, 都ok, 我平時唔太鐘意食軟殼蟹, 但喱個都ok, 亦都唔會整到個軟殼蟹淋曬清酒煮蜆香辣海鮮鍋黎到燒鳥店冇理由唔食燒牛舌吧~ Overall, 食物質素OK, 服務一般, 如果行開喱邊想食日式串燒都值得試, 但又唔需要特登過黎為左食佢 ~

上環人放飯,似乎都是局限在德輔道中(電車路)﹑信德,或是西港城﹑上環街市。但其實呢~時間較充裕的話,走上荷里活道就有種『尋找隱世美食』的fu~Three Monkeys 的午餐平均定價於HKD 130 多,這一區確實有不少餐廳(特別是日本料理)都在賣這個價位,可是環境滿舒適,味道方面更是滿令人驚艷的鵝肝牛肉溫泉蛋飯是我滿推薦的,因為每顆飯粒都被鵝肝的油脂滿滿包覆,光吃飯就已經滿足極了~牛肉煮得香甜入味,主角鵝肝份量十足,而且烤得外脆內軟,吃完以後根本捨不得嘴巴裡的餘韻這家店我會encore,下次再試串燒,以及鵝肝海膽溫泉蛋飯

Three of us spent $1000.00 on happy hour drinks and food. The edamame and lamb chops were great. Small portions and overpriced. Two expensive craft beers available even though they promote them. A dog was licking a table. It is ok to have dogs in restaurants but not near tables or chairs. This is a problem in Hong Kong. Dogs eat all sorts of unsavoury and unsafe items. Staff you need to be more assertive with dog customers. I won't be rushing back.

餐廳位於中環soho 區. 可能是星期三晚, 不是太多人. 雖然是日本串燒店, 但餐廳環境有點像bar. 除了串燒外, 亦有很多其他食物選擇. 例如salad, udon, 日式丼...所以一定能夠飽肚. Cocktails 選擇也十分多. Weekdays 8 點前有happy hour offer. 待應的態度也十分友善. 價錢也可以接受. 大概$400 per head. 我們還點了一個雞肉棒棒飯, 但忘記了拍照. 這是一個不錯的串燒店, 沒有一般串燒店的油煙味.

The lunch sets here have a wide variety of Japanese food. We ordered a beef foie gras onsen egg don ($138) and a yakitori set ($148). The foie gras did not disappoint. The foie gras was perfectly made, it's crispy on the outside, and creamy on the inside. The beef, egg and foie gras went well together. The Yakitori set had ox tongue, beef asparagus rolls, chicken cartilages, a salmon filet, corn, scallops, and two chicken wings. The set was definitely good value for the amount food they served u

The Yakitori set had ox tongue, beef asparagus rolls, chicken cartilages, a salmon filet, corn, scallops, and two chicken wings. The set was definitely good value for the amount food they served us. Their skewers are almost three times the lunch set during dinner time.

Dinner: (1) cheese mochi - these are always awesome but I found them lacking a bit of flavour?; (2) thin cut ox tongue - not enough ox tongue; (3) kalbi skewers - tender and well seasoned meat; (4) lamb chops - over cooked and tasteless; (5) tsukune - if I had to choose a highlight...this would be it...chicken was ground and flavoured well and I always loved the dip w raw egg; (6) nankotsu (chicken cartilage) - too dry and not big enough for a good bite; (7) kurobuta belly skewer - too thinly sl

I've been to 3 Monkeys on many occasions, as it isn't that far from where I live and there aren't a lot of bars in this area. I even came here for my birthday once. But up until now, I hadn't eaten there, so the other day when my wife and I found ourselves with nothing else to eat, we came here.The menu is a little bizarre. Not the food, the design. It's got a lot of drawings of chimps on it. Now, you might think "OK, they named their restaurant '3 Monkeys' without knowing what a monkey is." But

The menu is a little bizarre. Not the food, the design. It's got a lot of drawings of chimps on it. Now, you might think "OK, they named their restaurant '3 Monkeys' without knowing what a monkey is." But on the menu, one of the chimps is saying, "Quit looking at me like that. We're monkeys but you just don't know it yet." Is this some sort of militant cladistics prescriptivism? Because actually, I'm on board with that.

Cheese Mochi: "Chargrilled mochi balls loaded with melted cheese" ($58/ 3pcs). It sounds good, but it's basically very soft bread with tasteless fake cheese in it. Limp, empty calories: Not recommended.

Okra: "Crunchy okra, soy, shichimi, bonito flakes" ($40). I was a little disappointed that there were no shishito peppers on the menu. It's so hard to find green vegetables at some Japanese places. Anyway, the okra were nicely crunchy.

Aspara-Roll: "Fresh asparagus in Kurobuta sheets" ($44 each, so $88 total). The other green vegetable we got was asparagus wrapped in pork. If you don't know this, Kurobuta pigs are actually from England originally and are there known as Berkshire pigs. But you're here for a food review, so: the asparagus was also nicely crunchy, and the pork was a good touch.

Negima: "Thigh meat, piquant scallions" ($80 total)/ Nagasaki Neck: "Soy and chicken jus" ($80 total). I'm going to roll my chicken reviews into one paragraph. So, Yardbird is just down the street from 3 Monkeys. The prices at the two places are similar. The quality is not. It's hard to say exactly what makes one skewer of chicken delicious and another one, with the same part of the chicken, merely OK. The chicken at 3 Monkeys is merely OK, if you want chicken, go to Yardbird.

Galbi 'Our Style': "Garlic and chili marinated rib" ($120 total). 3 Monkeys' style of galbi is not as good as pretty much any galbi at a Korean joint. It just wasn't saucy or flavorful enough. The meat was cooked fine and all, I just wanted much more of a garlicky punch.

Yaki Yasai: "Grilled garden vegetables, sake, and garlic" ($92). This was actually my favorite dish of the meal. We were going to order some mushroom skewers, but our server dissuaded us because she said that this dish we had ordered had a bunch of mushrooms in it (and it did). I don't recall from the experience, but looking at the picture it looks like shimeji and oyster mushrooms, mostly, with some other sliced veggies and a bit of cabbage (more hiding beneath the mushrooms). I thought the flavors were well-balanced, and you could notice the garlic, in a good way.

One complaint we had about 3 Monkeys was the pacing. We were some of the only customers in the restaurant, so I think they just threw all our skewers at once on the grill and then brought them out at pretty much the same time. This meant we either had to inhale them or eat some of them cold, and I can't breathe pork. Perhaps my tepid opinion of the meat skewers had something to do with eating them cold.

The total for the food above is $518 and that's before service charge or drinks are factored in. It didn't particularly strike me as worth it. The pacing was off, the taste was OK, but nothing special, and 3 Monkeys no longer has that great $28 bottle of craft Japanese beer that used to beckon me through the door. I'll probably come back for a drink sometime, but the food didn't impress.

After finishing a big project, our team like to enjoy happy hour after a long day. As we dont feel like going LKF, Three Monkeys is often our choice. Here we can talk properly without the loud music, and as well have a few drinks before dinner. Situated on Hollywood Road, and being close to the Man Mo Temple, here is definitely a great location to hang out after work!

嗱嗱嗱.......第一蕉來了 — Nama Iberica Salad。 焦點通常落在頂層的西班牙黑毛豬火腿,不過它有如「霎眼嬌」的美女,不夠耐看,一下子便膩了!相反平凡的沙律雜菜與特製的 Goma 沙律醬汁混合後,酸甜香的醬汁味道隨即湊出超凡的清爽,不管嘴巴裡光是單純的沙律菜,又或是拼上一片火腿,美味隨即兼融了!

第三蕉是 GYU-Tongue。撩人的香氣,實在難擋,將牛脷串握在手,近距離的厚切更為觸目。一咬牛香四溢,豐腴多汁,軟腍又彈牙,鹹味調配得恰如其份,不會過於死濃,焦香又惹味,有生以來最震撼我心的厚切牛舌切串燒,非吃不可!

第四蕉是前方的 Tsukune。混合芝士和紫蘇葉的雞肉棒,脫離一般雞肉串燒的粗糙,入口肉質份外軟腍鬆滑,蘸上豐香的蛋黃和醬油,盡顯傳統日式串燒的美味!

後方的 Tebasaki 是非蕉之選,皆因燒雞翼,鍾鍾意食.....。雞翼燒得皮脆肉嫩,雞肉上撒上黑椒和七味辣椒粉,下味仍是表現出恰到多處的功力,燒雞翼水準不錯,只是沒有突出之處而已!

這回要來點蔬菜,挑了 Shishito 燒青椒和 Portobello 燒波特菇,兩者均不是蕉之選!

燒青椒以自然的椒香,略帶小鹹和鰹魚絲作伴;而波特菇則以醬油烤燒,入口帶點甜香,還盛上點點大根蓉作清熱!

Tora Ebi 一客三隻的燒虎蝦是我們所嚐的第五蕉。

以燒的方法來烹調海鮮,火喉的控制尤為重要,最怕過火浪費海鮮的珍味。可喜的是「THREE MONKEYS」沒有讓我們失望,虎蝦熟度剛好,肉質嫩彈、蝦味香濃,蝦頭還藏有橙紅的蝦膏,非常肥美,基本不用蘸上鹽巴,鮮味已令人十分滿意分!

第六蕉是 Corn 燒粟米。粟米先以醬油、香草和蒜蓉牛油輕醃,入口牛油香氣最為突出,其次是淺淺的鹹味,粟米的自然甜味也可嚐到,汁液豐富、帶點軟腍。若然能保留爽口的質感,將更得我的歡心!

只來一條的 Kurobuta Belly 日本黑毛豬豬腩肉串是非蕉之選,此刻我已飽得棄權了!味道與烤香也不錯,可是肉質竟意外地過硬,實在說不上是黑毛豬豬腩肉的脂香與軟潤的兼備,當晚唯一一款失準的串燒!

我們的 The Hokkaido Sakegria 終於喝光,再來的是 Yuzu Hana。白色的柚子泡沫細密清香,與底層鮮黃的色澤形成清爽的顏色配對。由 Gin、蘋果、茉莉果醬、檸檬汁和柚子泡沫混合而成,從柚子香氣中透出多層次的味道,比普通的日式雞尾酒來得複雜!

臨走前,忍不住再來一串 GYU-Tongue 重溫美味!

為何為何我肚皮的盛載量不能大一點?眼見蕉林裡還有很多的美味,如 Lobster Truffle Chawanmushi、Bomb Monkey Rice、Prime Rib Steak Belly Wraps 和 Monkey Sundae 等,這刻我想做大胃馬騮皇,可惜力不從心,唯有期待下一次好想和您一起去吃蕉的時光!
