Was greeted by stained and dirty outdoor couches and equally dirty side plates set on the table. Coffee is not worth ordering, considering it's price, fresh milk isn't even used (UHT milk) and badly frothed. Oh well, it's just a small coffee machine. Had the creamy scrambled eggs on sourdough and it was good. Overall, felt it was overrated. Couldn't get the whole French hype...

This place needs to be blacklisted! My friend booked his bday dinner here with all of us and when we got there we were told that the restaurant has closed today for renovation! They expected us to eat at their bar area which only offers snacks with smokers around!We ended up having to leave and to find another restaurant on a Friday night in Central for a party of 12!

一心谂住去habitu食个意粉,点知过年前执左😨蟹面馆又执左,中环其实真系一个好恶做嘅地方😞晏左食饭,周围都好难揾位,行下行下行到摆花街,揾间楼上铺嘅搏下,好彩有位...2course set加饮品$128加一藜麦三文鱼牛油果沙律,闻说藜麦营养价值极高,但白烚系鞋烚烚嘅,健康嘅野又冇expect佢好好味,点知呢个沙律出奇地几好味😮墨鱼汁饭,个碗好细,份量好少,上面啲𩠌都疏疏落落,墨鱼得几粒😐基本上系靠个risotto同啲汁塞到你滞... risotto嘅口感会比较有咬口,呢个texture做得ok嘅,但味道就偏浓味,pepper重手左,不过浓味淡味各有所爱,所以唔会话佢唔好味😉朋友嗌呢个"purée",我谂佢系求其嗌😂呢块包睇落都鸡鸡地,冇问佢好唔好食,但睇落就唔多吸引。价钱唔系吸引,地点唔算就脚,食物不太出色,总括嚟讲冇咩特别吸引我再嚟👋🏻

Tartine is a French fine dining restaurant nestled amidst the bustling area of Central. Conceptualized by the famous Michelin-starred Chef, Orrico from the French Island of Ile de la Reunion, it offers an avant-garde French cuisine in the elegantly styled space with a clean, contemporary design-just the right place to chill out with friends and family. Tartine (meaning “open toast” in French) offers a wide selection of toppings with cheese. Apart from the French cuisine, the restaurant also specializes in offering ‘western-style’ food for a wider choice. The restaurant has a separate drink menu that offers a wide sellection of vintage wines from affordable prices to premium selection. One can also enjoy ‘home-designed’ cocktails-spirits mixed with various drinks. Right now, the restaurant is promoting Marie Brizard, a French spirit, during the happy hour. This means one can enjoy this premium wine at an affordable price. The happy hour is from 6pm-8pm, every evening. Tartine serves FREE canapés, non-stop, from 8-10-adding extra fun to your enjoyable experience.The restaurant is in the process of renovating its third floor to accommodate more guests and bring in the extra romantic vibes. They will also start the much-awaited ‘Gueridon service’ whereby the food (e.g. steak tarter) is cooked, finished or presented to the guest at a table, from a moveable trolley. Not only will the diners get an opportunity to choose the ingredients they prefer in their dish but also it will be a novel gastronomic experience for them. The service will also include serving of cocktails.We went for the "Raclette Dinner' and instantly fell in love with the delectable food and WARMEST hospitality. It turned out to be an admirableexperience. One bite of the sourdough bread (with herbed butter) and there was no need of a refined palate to understand that the bread was freshly baked with a home-made flavour. The entrée, served on the table, was oozing with raclette cheese on a heap of baked potatoes….hugein portion yet very delicious. The colourful, fresh and crunchy salad, served alongside, was loaded with nutrients. The pommery pepper, in the mild dressing of extra virgin oil, added a very special savour to the salad. The cold cuts of salami and ham complimented the raclette dish perfectly. Apparently, the restaurants orders fresh, organic meat very often and most of their ingredients come from the farms of France.As far as the signature desserts go, the ‘brownie with vanilla ice-cream’ stole our hearts with the richness and smoothness of ice-creammingling with the added crunch of biscuit crumbs. There is option of selecting raspberry or pistachio ice-creams instead of vanilla. Next was the ‘lemon tart’ with the flavor of fresh lemon popping in our mouth with every bite. Both the desserts presented a good combination ofconsistencies and flavours. Pistachio ice-cream can be tried although it is a very common dessert. A highly recommended dish by chef is the Grilled “le Pouple” or grilled octopus. The octopuses are from North West Spain with unique textureand taste. Only the leg part is pan seared along with diced pork belly and seasonal veggies to seal in the juices and aroma.The waiting staff was very courteous and polite. We were very pleased and would definitely come back. Tartine has come up with a ‘ChristmasDinner’ priced at $588 per person, if you are keen to experience the French fine dining and a much finer hospitality.
