我喜欢英国菜，这是一个不可抗力的事实。所以，一旦发现到有新的 Fish & Chips 店舖，我都会尽量想办法去试一下。不过，诘就咁话，点到要时间同金钱，当然也需要地利啦，虽然我有一个比较长既 lunch hour，但也不敢跑太远。近日，因为姪女的 Fish & Chips 狂热，狂到连去日本都要找 facebook 之神，帮她找 Fish & Chips 店。她此举，也令我产生了 Fish & Chips 的狂热，令我不吃一份 Fish & Chips 不安乐。于是，我找了两个有空的中午天，本想找姪女一起食，不过两次来，两次都夹唔到，于是，我就决定在这《Soho Fish & Chips》展开我的个人炸鱼薯条之旅。店子细细的，若是加上了一个炸炉在店面前，就会是一个很典型的 Fish & Chips Shop。不过，当我细心一看，这店会售卖 Kebab，OH! 这不就是以前在英国的时候，浦完 Disco 后指定圆份野食走的 Kebab + Fish & Chips Shop 吗? 顿时，又令我想起以前大学的癫颓生活了。说过，我来的目的是为了 Fish & Chips，在有三种供选择之下，我选了 Halibut，虽知 Cod 好食，但 Halibut 的肉质就比较厚身同爽，所以，一旦有有别于 Cod 鱼的选择，我的首选一定是 Halibut。切开，鱼肉爽脆香口，浆粉又不太厚，做得出一层薄脆的感觉，Batter 加了盐，轻轻的咸味带动了鱼肉的鲜味，我感觉到，这就是我追求的英国感觉。只是薯条仍未能做到生切而已，不过我们身在香港而非英国，不能要求太高。传统的炸鱼薯条，是会伴以一个 Manchester Caviar，Manchester Caviar 就是 Mushy Peas，为何会叫 Manchester Caviar? (或有时会称为 Yorkshire Caviar)，查根究底后，原来只是当地人把 Mushy Peas 优称而已，没什么特别。不过，这 Mushy Peas 水泡得未够，泡久一点，再绵多一点，会更好食。识食英式薯条的朋友，一定识落 Salt & Vinegar，而此店的所用的 Vinegar 是 Marks and Spencer 出品，配薯条鱼条，有盐有醋才食得开心。改日，我是为了 Kebab 而来，不过，我决定寻回当年大学的夜消磨味道，来一个 Kebab Meat & Chips。可是我食当日的羊肉沽清，所以我只好改吃鸡肉，而递到我面前的出品，除多了沙律火箭菜之外，这一切就是我大学的宵夜极品。以前在印巴人开的 Fish & Chips 食 Kebab Meat & Chips，是没有菜的，当我把所有沙律菜吃光后，整个 Kebab Meat & Chips 就原型毕露了。纯烤肉，纯薯条，加点沙律、辣酱，Tartar 酱，带少少咸、酸、辣，再配合了烤肉的香，非常之惹味，若是真正地吃到羊肉，味道会是更加升华，入口的感觉更加是邪恶万分。食 Fish & Chips 同 Kebab 就一定不会咁斯文，一定不会咁绅士地饮奶茶啦，无论天时热定冻，一罐汽水最实际。我习惯饮 Lemonade，而一般的鬼仔鬼妹，Vimto 同 Tango 大家又饮过未，只可惜以上两个品牌，香港少见。Kebab 的确是一个邪恶万分的食品，当年18-22，当然食几多都唔怕。而家年纪大了，真系间唔中食下好啦。不过，正面的说，这儿的 Fish & Chips，这儿的 Kebab，的确令我们回想起英国求学的疯癫时，来《Soho Fish & Chips》一吃，触起许多回忆。

同老公去到SOHO, 又唔想食steak, 又唔想fine dine, 纯粹饮下食少少野饮下啤酒就系转角位见到呢间Soho fish & chips, 原来佢唔止炸野食, 仲有pizza、kebabs果d野食,就入左去叫左 jalapeno, mozzarella sticks 、cod fish & chips老细话佢d鱼系由美国运返黎既鳕鱼, 比较厚肉而且肉质嫩滑虽然系油炸, 但佢炸得唔油腻而且仲配有青豆酱, 一齐食感觉唔heavy即使唔点茄汁或其他酱, 只系洒少少盐已经好食!一口咬落去一拉~拉到好长都唔断XDjalapeno 系墨西哥小食,入面有青椒同芝士,味道辛辣又有芝士香味我同老公边食边饮啤酒, 好正呀喂!!!我同老公讲, 下次再黎要试埋佢地既kebabs同pizza!!!!

于中环区想找到不用等位，静静地嘅餐厅食𠹵，闲闲地都200蚊落楼，估唔到今日有新发现！超感动！只系45蚊的午餐系边度揾？中环wor? 😜😜😜午餐有好多选择，一律45蚊：沙律类，土耳其卡巴类，Meat Box, 意粉，印度咖哩饭等，应有尽有。本人叫左土式羊肉meat box, 估唔到仲可以拣饭或薯条。因为好肚饿嘅关系，我就叫在饭。而同事就叫左咖哩鱼饭。我初时以为佢收咁平，应该系细细份，仲谂住可能要要叫多份，不过，黎到都好大份，仲有沙律添。d沙律菜十分新鲜，尤其是紫洋䓤，味道鲜甜。羊肉是做卡巴的羊肉，非常惹味。最有惊喜的是，他们的饭是用印度米煮成的。饭的软硬度适中，不会像大XX那些都一旧旧。因大厨是印度人的关系，他的咖哩也不用怀疑吧！反正见同事食得津津有味就知道。Oh, btw, 唔记得左讲，佢地$45午餐系包饮品的，而且，系雪到温度啱啱好的罐装可乐，罐装，你懂的！我唔知香港人有几接受印度人煮印度／土耳其野，不过，我已经同同事约左下星期再去食，我正期待著佢d咖哩！我再重申多次，中环㖞，$45一餐𠹵，边度揾？

Great place to have fish & chips! Very convenient to get food from as it only takes a few good minutes. I have tried virtually everything they have. so far, I'm not disappointed! Great thin crust pizzas, yummy and generous amount of meat (meatbox/salad).Fish fingers is already a meal (comes with chips too!) Lasagna, affordable and super cheesy Kebabs, tasty and generous with meat and veggeReally good Indian curry dishes! I was looking for a restaurant with nice comforting food during the weekends and I find this place to be perfect. Yummy butter chicken curry with biryani rice! (highly recommend). I love their fish and chips, it comes with mushy peas, ketchup, vinegar, mayo (for condiment lovers) thick cut chips in a nicely proportioned take away box (for people on the go).And for lunch-- I love the fact they have lunch meals (affordable for soho's price range! Last time I went, it's $45 for a meal that comes with any canned drink (weekdays) Either curry, pasta or kebab dish.. This is just very affordable with great tasting food too. I do plan on coming by here again!

Saw this shop listed on OpenRice so decided to check it out.It is located on Staunton's Road on the corner of some road.The joint is quite small with a few tables serving pizzas, kebabs, curries, burgers and Fish and chips.The staff that work there all wear the Union Jack bandanas.Lunch sets are a good deal if you go there during lunch.★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★Mixed meat box with pita bread:Basically, it was mixed meat on top of pita bread with the usual garlic, mint and spicy sauce.Not quite the greasy kebab that I was craving for.The Pita bread was a bit dry and hard which was improved after sauce was added and the mixed meat did not have any strong spices in it.There was chicken and lamb in the mixture and I was disappointed that I could not taste the chicken tikka.★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★The menu could be improved because the Tikka and Jalapeno peppers are the wrong way round.The pasta should read Olive oil instead of oil oil.◎ⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓖⓘⓡⓛ◎The bill: $95Service: OKService charge: noYummy factor: okNapkins provided: yesNoise levels: NoneGlass of water provided: NoneEnglish Menu: YesAir Conditioning: Yes◎ⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓖⓘⓡⓛ◎
