There are food that are truely addictable, which one cannot stop eating one after another. Jenny Bakery's cookies is definitely the opium. I can polish half a tin in a day, I just cannot stop indulging in it.My love in Jenny Bakery emerges since when I was still in Secondary School (What? Like 10 years ago?) My mom said when she first bought Jenny Bakery, they don't even have a popper store, just a pop up store at a Pharmacy Well, i dont know if its true, I just know I have been having this cookies in a bear cookie tin for a long long time.I love the coffee almond the most, they used to allow special order of a whole big tin of coffee almond, but seems they are not doing it anymore. Probably because they are aiming for efficiency from bulk production for their cookies (Plus China's demand). I am pretty sure their cookies were once homemade but now is made by machine which is sold by my friend. Anyhow the recipe keeps and it still tastes amazing! The big tin consists of eight kinds of nuts and chocolate mix cookies, which I will describe in below paragraphs. From left to Right: Cashew Nut, Chocolate chip with Cashchew and Walnut, Mixed Nuts and WalnutCashew Nut cookie is a piece of yellow hard biscuit. The texture was dry and flakey with lots of cashew bits. Chocolate chip with Cashchew and Walnut biscuit is chocolate flavoured with generous amount of chocolate bits and nuts. It was more flakey than the Cashew Nut biscuit. It had a stronger overall taste but the chocolate taste has slightly overpowered the nuts taste. Mixed Nuts was quite nice too. It actually tasted quite similar to the Chocolate Chip with Cashchew and Walnut. Walnut is the softest cookies among all and was quite flakey too. The butter taste was too strong on this piece that it overpowered the walnut taste. This is the most boring biscuit. From left to Right: Almond Poppyseed, Halzenut Macadamia, Pistachio and Coffee almondAlmond Poppyseed I love how poppyseed look, it makes the cookie loos very cute and it also has a cute texture. The biscuit tasted very buttery with a strong almond taste, it actually tasted quite similar to Macau's Almond biscuit but its texture is less mushy and more on the flakey side. Halzenut Macadamia biscuit is the hardest biscuit of all. It was quite buttery with strong macadamia taste, while the halzenut taste was light. Pistachio is also a hard biscuit but it has the flakiest texture among all. The pistachio taste was strong and pleasant. Coffee Almond cookie is almost as hard as the Halzut Macadamia. It has a strong coffee taste and aroma with flakey texture. I love this the most <3!Even they bake their cookies with industrial machinery now, I still find their recipe the same and their cookies irresistible. If you are looking for a souvenir to bring to your friends but sick of getting them keychains or whatever, get a box of Jenny's Bakery. (I heard it is hard to get a box now? I actually have not buy one for months )
