到0.5°c食完午餐后, 在附近四围走走, 欣赏下大坑这老区, 大部分楼宇都保留传统特色, 有些加了些现代原素; 一个颇有特色的社区而且车辆及人流不太多, 可以舒服地漫步。看到这间屋十分旧式, 涂上色彩缤纷的油及换上西式的木窗框, 新旧x中西cross over 非常特别, 不禁令小妹停下脚部欣赏一番。在在这时候才发觉对面有一间完全不起眼的饼舖一Jam Bakery. 铁门只开了一半, 以为是饼舖的后门, 探头一看, 店主突然出现! 八卦的老公上前询问, 原来Jam Bakery 以前有门市但敌不过昂贵租金, 所以搬到现址, 即是在工场门口售cookies。就是用这简单的木架放满一包包不同味道的cookies。有十款之多, 售$40~50, 不算便宜但小店是要多多支持才能生存, 否则香港小店会慢慢被大型食店赶走。这里的cookies 全部都可试食, 客人不不太多可以慢慢品尝, 店主更细心介绍每款cookies。在店主的热情介绍下, 老公买了2包cookies。朱古力cookies (每包HK$40,约160g)香浓朱古力味及牛油味相互溶合,而又不会掩盖对方,味道调配得非常平衡;而且吃得出采用的牛油及面粉应该是高质原材料,因为没有平价曲奇的那种呛喉的牛油味,只是不清楚可可粉/朱古力粉是否采用欧洲名牌?每块曲奇都含有两、三颗小小的朱古力,更加是朱古力曲奇的必需条件。优质朱古力曲奇的基本条件,Jam bakery都做到了。这间小店的朱古力曲奇并非非常脆口的种类,也不是Mrs.Fields软糯带少少烟靱的口味,而是松化、酥身的曲奇;个人来说,也比较喜欢这种口感。蝴蝶酥(每包约HK$45,约150g)牛油味够重,也够香口;只是松脆得来稍嫌略硬,而且不够酥化,稍为欠缺了「酥」的质感,咬开蝴蝶酥后,「酥」所须要的一层层酥皮也不太明显。同时,表面的薄层焦糖稍嫌不足,甜味不够,估计是加在酥皮表面的砂糖份量稍为少了一点,所以焗制后表面不够甜,也不够金黄。当然,是否够甜纯粹是个人口味。平均来说,曲奇质素相当不错, 至少我认为不俾Jenny Bakery及Cookies Quartet差。讲真,我一直觉得,未广为人知之前的Jenny Bakery(赤柱的楼上小店年代)及 Cookies Quartet,质素可能比现在更好,至少不须要迁就大量生产。希望Jam Bakery可以坚持小店的重质作风。 继续阅读

Once again, I have come up with a review of yet another brand of cookies that I have the pleasure to try recently, special thanks to my dear foodie friend MKK.The protagonist of this review is the Rose Tea Cookies from Jam Bakery. To provide you with an extra bit of sensory experience, each cookie is shaped like a piece of leaf which resembles those of a tea plant.As for the taste, it is nothing like my favorite chocolate or the all-so-common butter cookies, but chewy with nuts and emanating the genuine and strong aroma of rose tea which serves as its most unique feature.For my fellow cookie lovers who have had enough of the traditional style of cookies and are eager to try something different, this rose tea cookies from Jam Bakery might just be the solution that you are looking for. 继续阅读

是晚,约了美少女到附近吃饭。原打算去la famaille 买戚风蛋糕给她,谁知,无心插柳下,去了JAM Bakery。适时,其旁边的JAM Bakery半开著铁闸,近门口位的一个木架,放著数款出售的曲奇。小妹八挂,探头向内窥探,一疑似老板男子马上走前,拉开铁闸,热情地招呼小妹。小妹曾光顾过炮台山的JAM Baker,吃过其美味蛋糕,也素知其制饼工场设于大坑,有缘遇上,真幸运。 然,从男子口中,始知炮台山店已结业,只剩下工场,提供网上订购。香港租金昂贵,想经营一间小店,真的绝对不容易! 老板笑容满脸地招呼小妹,介绍了数款曲奇,并大方地拆开让小妹试味。个人而言,还是喜欢混杂茶叶碎在其中的花茶系列。一口气,买了四袋,三袋玫瑰味曲奇,一袋伯爵茶曲奇。一袋有18块曲奇,售价$40,不算贵!原打算送玫瑰茶曲奇给美少女,谁知她不吃玫瑰或薰衣草制成的食品,故改送伯爵茶曲奇了!玫瑰茶曲奇的叶片造形蛮可爱和特别,入口口感偏硬实,曲奇内拌入玫瑰花茶碎和香脆杏仁粒,香脆而不油腻或甜腻,蛮具咬口和嚼劲!细嚼下,幽幽的玫瑰茶香在齿颊中溢出,煞是回味。播著音乐,泡一壶茶,伴以玫瑰茶曲奇同吃,度一个悠闲的下午....... 继续阅读
