Interestingly the restaurant is only opened for lunch, with the menu including an appetizer and a main course. I chose Crab Meat Salad and Qwehli Sustainable Whole Dover Sole ($450) while my wife went for Soup Pot (clam chowder) and Iberico Pork Burger ($280). The salad was beautifully rendered, with the crab meat wonderfully seasoned to highlight the delicate flavors, and supplemented with grapefruit jelly and flesh which gave some acidity to freshen up the plate even further. The avocado puree and brown crab mayonnaise also provided a rich and creamy complements to the crab meat and salad. A truly nice salad and appetizer.

The Clam Chowder was served in a soup pot, of a big portion. With plenty of clam, potatoes and bacon, the soup was creamy and tasty. Although I did not sample it, the soup was certainly appealing and even made me tempted to order one just in addition to my salad. Maybe have to do it next time...

My main course was a whole sole, served with prawn-horseradish butter, Jerseys Royals and asparagus. Qwehli is a Paris company supplying seafood to renowned restaurants in the world, with a deep care to the planet so the seafood is caught in a sustainable manner. This sole was fairly large in size, very nicely done, pan-fried to perfection and the butter sauce enabled the delicate flavors of the fish to shine through. There were some asparagus and potatoes to accompany. I could use a bit more salt but overall it was still another great dish.

The main course for my wife was the pork burger. The pork was juicy and nicely grilled, and there was a chipotle mayo giving a hint of spiciness to the meat, with arugula instead of lettuce, a smart choice to pair the peppery notes with the pork. An apple compote was given on the side, along with some Old Bay fat chips. I had tried a bite and it was wonderfully done. Another reason for me to return to this restaurant.

Served also with coffee or tea, the total bill on the day was $902. It was a very reasonably priced restaurant and good value for money. I don't know the reason why they decided not to open for dinner, but if you are in Admiralty and looking for a nice place to have lunch with some good food, now there is one of good choices.

They have also done some touch-up on the food menu although the restaurant remains primarily a steakhouse. Lunch didn't start off the way I hoped it would. I love ahi tuna but this was really disappointing.

This came with three large tuna cubes each wrapped with a slice of 5J Iberico ham and served with a small pool of Romanesco sauce and wild rocket leaf. I thought everything that could go wrong did go wrong with this dish (Murphy's Law?). For starters, the presentation just looked awful. It looked nothing like a dish coming out of a hotel restaurant. Then, the tuna, way too chewy with a lot of tendons in the middle. And last but not least, when you've already marinated the tuna with spicy soy, why would you still serve it with a flavorful Romanesco sauce (Better going the safe way with avocado puree?).

My main course was a little better. Although my USDA Nebraska rib-eye didn't show up "medium" as I've ordered it to be, it was decent (even when it's overcooked).

Overall, foods are of very average quality. Lambs, king crab leg linguine are not fresh. Lobster bisque doesn’t taste good. Services and ambience are much better

Very satisfied with the service this time.We ordered a tenderloin and a 20oz rib eye bone in, asked for medium but the tenderloin was overcooked. Showed it to the staff and without any questions he proposed to replace it with another one. Apologized a few times and since it was going to take us another 10min of waiting, gave us a glass of wine on the house (we did order one glass while waiting but there’s never enough of it...)The meats were nice and tender. We had them with a seasonal asparagus

The meats were nice and tender. We had them with a seasonal asparagus from Provence which of course was well over priced (250$ for 3?!?). The french fries portion was generous we couldn’t finish

So happy we ended up with a banana caramel I only got to sample one spoon before my partner just engulfed it in 10 seconds. Showed my appreciation with a standard coffee.

Double Asia Miles for monday. What else can you ask for?

Overall very friendly staff, very well served throughout, maybe it was a not so busy monday but at least you get out with a nice satisfactory feeling

最近有位好朋友升職,因為我地之前講過如果佢真係升職就要請去酒店食dinner,結果佢真係遵守諾言,請我地去金鐘JW萬豪酒店嘅Flint Grill & Bar食飯呢間餐廳對我嚟講已經好高級,當日我都專登打扮好少少,費事失禮人,一去到餐廳見到裝修好有格調,以黑色做主調,行型格路線,而且招呼好周到,有人會幫忙拉櫈同鋪餐巾,我地被安排坐係廚師工作枱隔離,可以清楚望到各位廚師嘅手勢同刀功由於係朋友負責點菜,其實事前我地完全唔知道當晚嘅菜單,充滿surprise 同期待,一開始首先有軟綿綿嘅麵包配牛油,麵包暖暖地好鬆軟之後就到最令人興奮嘅三層海鮮盤,淨係賣相已經好吸引,我地忍唔住狂影相,最頂層有大大隻龍蝦同蟹,中層有生蠔,下層就係青口、蜆同蝦,餐廳仲提供左幾款醬汁配海鮮,我地食唔停口,因為海鮮真係好新鮮,尤其係龍蝦,開邊見到好多膏,另外蠔同蝦都好高質素,食完呢個海鮮盤,覺得好似跳左落加勒比海咁,有被海洋包圍住嘅感覺再嚟就係刺身拼盤,賣相又係好靚,謀殺唔少鏡頭,除左有平時常食嘅三文魚🍣、甜蝦、帶子等,最估唔到就係有鮑魚,刺身無論味道同口感都一流,最緊要係新鮮,而鮑魚應該係用一些醬汁煮過,甜甜地好惹

再嚟就係刺身拼盤,賣相又係好靚,謀殺唔少鏡頭,除左有平時常食嘅三文魚🍣、甜蝦、帶子等,最估唔到就係有鮑魚,刺身無論味道同口感都一流,最緊要係新鮮,而鮑魚應該係用一些醬汁煮過,甜甜地好惹味


食完冷盤就到熱食,我朋友點左幾款菜式,每樣兩碟,結果擺到全枱滿晒,放係我面前係一大塊牛排🥩,我覺得分分鐘大過我塊面,切開時充滿肉汁,外面就燒得焦焦地好香,果然靚牛排係唔同D,食落好有牛味



再介紹就係日式煎魚(請原諒我真係唔知菜式嘅名字,所以寫得唔夠貴格),魚🐟嘅質地好軟滑,食完口腔裡充滿魚油,唔知係咪用左味醂嘅關係,魚肉好似有一種酒味,好特別


另外仲有一碟菇菌、露筍同一盆炸薯條🍟,菇菌配上醬汁好惹味;露筍味道好清新,可減低油膩感覺;而薯條嘅薯味好重,我地食完一條又一條,完全拋低左澱粉質嘅顧慮


輪到成晚另一個最令人期待嘅環節,就係女仔最喜愛嘅甜品🍮時間,我地試左四個甜品,分別係朱古力蛋糕配雪糕、草莓蛋糕、蘋果撻及香蕉甜點。所有甜品嘅賣相都好精緻,味道一流,好似食緊藝術品一樣,即使當晚食完主菜已經好飽,但總有第二個胃去迎接甜品
。我最喜歡就係蘋果撻,蘋果味清新而撻又好脆,鍾意上面有片蘋果乾做點綴


我要趁呢個機會多謝當晚請客嘅朋友,佢好有心咁揀選大家鍾意食嘅菜式,亦都好大方叫左好多嘢食,呢間餐廳好值得推介,無論環境、服務同食物質素都一流,連洗手間洗手盆嘅出水位設計都好特別,類似係一條條銀色水管從上面運水落嚟,而且仲有位姨姨會遞毛巾俾我地,好貼心



當晚大家都好滿足,幾個女仔gathering 再加埋咁多美食,係一個Happy Friday,希望之後再有機會試下餐廳其他美食啦

半打歐洲生𧐢面淋以鮮茄油醋汁,𧐢隻個別比較瘦弱,好像餓了幾天似的,若然夠肥美,添上少許檸檬汁已足夠矣,不過現在添味增香也不賴.

10oz肉眼扒伴以焗蒜頭和Old Bay洋蔥圈,西洋菜及牛扒汁,牛扒煎烤技巧不容置疑,Flint一向水準穩定,炸洋蔥圈以Old Bay Seasonings調味,加入啤酒batter講求light和效果要crispy,論質感炸漿比夠厚不失個性,可能店方要的效果就是這樣.

我們同加錢選了8oz產自美國內布拉斯加州Nebraska的穀飼肉眼扒,單看表面煎烤得焦香,漂亮的Grilled mark已教人垂涎欲滴.切下去粉嫰顏色顯示médium rare熟度剛好,其實扒面早以塩黑椒提味,淨吃不點醬已夠味道,醮以香濃Flint's steak sauce是畫龍點睛,其次伴碟薯蓉幼滑得來有口感襯以脆煙片更是錦上添花,即使扒面伴菜,兩條芥蘭的處理也毫不馬虎,整道菜完成度是100%,滿意得沒有任何可找碴地方.

朋友是巧克力控,70% chocolate ganache放在巧克力脆餅內,配以百爵茶雪糕,當然是其首選.ganache甘苦香濃幼滑細緻本來很好,狀況出現在太"幼滑"暖暖地呈流質狀態,質感超出大家向來認知,是新鮮製作來不及冷藏?還是recipe錯漏?因為餅乾塔皮脆硬而塔饀液態,所以進食時有點忙亂,擔心濺汚衣裳,最後她都沒能力完成整道甜點.

餐後我們沒有點咖啡,大家移師別處繼續聚舊.Flint是我個人近年喜歡的餐廳之一,因為地點便利,忙𥚃偷閒行完Pacific Place順便吃個晏或early dinner,要不次序掉轉也理想.而"Restaurant Week"更令我強迫症發作,每次都忍不住訂枱為快.基本Lunch $198, Dinner $398,這個價錢換來此等食物質素和服務,我真是抗拒不了..心癮還需心藥醫,就只有繼續光顧,隨心慢~慢~紀錄下去.

個牛嘅肉味好鮮好嫰,值得一試。因為待應有提到呢種牛容易overcooked, 所以我哋點了medium, 但因為舊牛本身厚,最後都唔算大淋,而豬嘅味道就相對普通,唔建議點。

訂左萬豪中菜,但餐廳很嘈,有生日party在餐廳大堂舉行,因為太嘈就轉地方去Flint食晚餐。食物一般,牛扒,羊架太咸,都唔点解廚師下那麽多salt。以住在洲際酒店扒房係自己下鹽的。最另我不滿意的是餐廳内的抽氣很差,食完後成身都有煎肉的臭味,真是很差。

After having 2 mediocre encounters at this place for dinner, I've lost confidence in this place for its food. Unfortunately today my colleague booked this place so I guess I have to stick with the crowd. No a la carte is available for lunch. They have a pretty standard lunch menu with plenty of choices. I ordered a set lunch with burrata and cod. The burrata was a little tasteless while the cod was a little too salty. Have to say I've completely given up on the food in this place.

But in all fairness, as mentioned in some of my previous reviews, the drinks at this place is pretty good so I will continue to come here for happy hour and only for such purpose!

The seafood bar contains plenty of sashimi and sushi choices, including tuna, amaebi and tamago sushi; soba noodle and a very nice lobster miso. There are poached lobster, king crab legs, brown crab that has been loaded with crab roe, and the most essential fresh oysters sourced from France.

Passing the sommelier’s table would be chef’s kitchen corner serving antipasti, salad, roast of the day and some brunch dishes including schragels and schmears. The egg station offers Flint’s 64 °C Egg Benedict, which is paired with different ingredients such as smoked salmon, wild mushroom & caramelized onion, my favourite is definitely the juicy char siu pork with the perfect glazing over the buttered and toasted English muffin.

The dessert table is also plentiful including a rich and dense New York cheesecake, pecan tart and Halloween chocolate mousse cake; some homemade cookies and chocolate praline are beautifully displayed. Chestnut mont blanc and hazelnut apricot mousse are made delicate whilst a sesame black forest parfait with a pronounced sesame mousse and berry compotes is particularly impressive.

另一個則是其他食客們都叫的龍蝦湯 Lobster Bisque $140此店只做兩個湯, 唔飲A 則只有B了, 咁我及又明點解大部份人都叫龍蝦湯喎, 兩個湯相差只係10蚊!龍蝦湯湯底有蝦香之餘又唔會太霸道, 質地好滑呢個係忌廉的功勞, 湯中央的一舊忌廉美觀之外亦再為個湯增加唔少分數, 但原來那個小忌廉球下面藏着的還有一堆同忍廉一樣大小的圓形蟹肉,
想得很週到之餘又可以昇華此湯只是一碟蝦水!

重頭戲碼係Linz Heritage 20oz Dry-Ages Ribeye $598 尺碼足, 厚度完全超過一吋高, 一拿上枱已經感覺那份焦香氣味, 我們要求的Rare這裡完全做到, 只有頭尾是有點超過Rare之外, 由於係Dry-age關係,切開後基本是沒什麼血水流出, 牛肉表面燒得焦香亦有少許脆, 肉味帶微微回甘, 整件扒只有一小片骨同某些部份有少少筋, 可以接受嘅, 配扒來的醬汁看似好少但其實是足夠用的, 而這醬汁味道亦十分傳統, 杰度適中, 20安士完全足以填滿兩個人的胃納,
我們沒有side order, 所以這趟可以一試甜品, 沒有抱太大期望因為大部份的酒店式甜品師會傾向於保守派, 

White Peach Melba $90 本來我想像這將會係一個酒煮白桃再伴一球雲呢嗱雪糕球的甜品, 頂多再唧幾圈巧克力糖漿/ 士多啤梨糖漿, 但這裡酒店扒房做出來的又是另一個進化版, 做型是四層, 最頂是一片紅色點點的白色脆片, 下面放半個處理過的去皮桃, 桃肉是還剩餘一半咬口, 由桃肉表面的光滑度可見脫皮的工序做得脷落, 下一層係一個忌廉做的凍糕配合桃肉同時又同最底層的鮮紅色木莓類雪類作對比,無論是顏色/口感等, 

Basil Lemon $90 看字面其實沒什麼頭緒, 只知道有紫蘇味雪葩同檸檬怎麼樣拉上關係, 有點似猜謎般撲朔迷離! 但實物送上來時, 係一隻全黑色的碟上放了一個青黃色檸檬在中央, 這個則沒什麼層次了, 因為主要賣點係一個檸檬! 真確一點應該講係一個”扮的檸檬”, 檸檬底只有一些簡單的餅乾碎, 青黃色檸檬外殼係一層好簿的糖做甜中有酸的脆片, 用义稍為用力已可以將外殼敲碎, 內部係白色的泡泡, 泡內是一堆約1tsp的紫蘇味雪葩, 整個甜品創意,新鮮感,玩味十足, 


兩個甜品雖然係比較上貴但從另一角度去欣賞, 品嚐只是點到即止, 

新穎的手法同那個無論形狀/顏色都相當近似檸檬的檸檬,完全表達到現在的甜品世界賣的就是這些, 一個意念!

I took my family for a nice dinner for my husband's birthday. Great food. Staff knows their food and drinks really well and will recommend food and drinks for you. The only annoying part is they keep asking if we want drinks. My husband don't drink alcohol and our kids are not allowed to drink sugary drinks and it's dinner so no juices for them either. Water is perfectly fine. Me on the other hand ordered a cocktail and no plans to get drunk. Ambience for me is actually nice. Will come back for

Tuna tartar係on side嘅,佢會推架餐車過黎係你面前整,會問你食唔食得辣,再幫你調味。
Tuna tartar嘅tuna腌得好入味,唔錯,不過我覺得on side整個個哥哥仔落麻油嘅時候重手左,麻油味略重,破壞左成個dish。

帶子煎得非常好,我可以用完美黎形容,而且大大粒,真係好好味!外面香口,入面剛剛熟,旁邊透明黃色嘅係lemon source,同個帶子好夾,呢個我差唔多會比滿分!

甜品就正常,無乜特別,酒店自助餐甜品水準咁上下,可能正常menu嘅話會好d!

整體:以restaurant week $398加一價食到呢個質素同環境,算係非常抵食,令到我有想試佢正常menu嘅衝動,如果係restaurant week黎講,我都會推薦大家試呢間!

我又是看到蘋果日報的介紹才知道 Flint Grill n Bar 在八月憑著 BOC 白金卡做買一送一優惠。我不是一個衝動型的食客,不會因為有優惠而雜食。我一般都會做功課,上 Open rice 的網頁看看其他食客對餐廳的評語和照片,然後才決定要不要去幇襯。Flint Grill n Bar 週六和週日的 Brunch,正價是$596+10%。如果是買一送一的話,一個人衹要$360。我因為看了蘋果的報導説可以無限量點主菜,而且主菜裏有我最愛的鵝肝和蒸龍蝦,再加上 Open rice 裏其他食客的評語也證實以上報導,所以我就憑運氣訂到週六的 Brunch 優惠。去到才知道沒有蒸龍蝦和煎鵝肝這兩個食材,有被騙的感覺。說實在的,這頓 Brunch 是失望的。首先,為何 Brunch Menu 會跟蘋果日報和 Open rice 的評語有出入?是不是因為買一送一這個優惠所以餐廳降低了食物上的選擇。我是有圖和拍下的 menu 為證的,並沒有胡說。我一般上都會將收據也一併拍下來證明我的確是自掏腰包付費來進食,然後憑良心寫評語的。接著,我懷疑是不是有些餐廳會免費讓食客到他們餐廳進食,然後營造一個

說實在的,這頓 Brunch 是失望的
。首先,為何 Brunch Menu 會跟蘋果日報和 Open rice 的評語有出入?是不是因為買一送一這個優惠所以餐廳降低了食物上的選擇。我是有圖和拍下的 menu 為證的,並沒有胡說。我一般上都會將收據也一併拍下來證明我的確是自掏腰包付費來進食,然後憑良心寫評語的。接著,我懷疑是不是有些餐廳會免費讓食客到他們餐廳進食,然後營造一個 絕佳的環境讓"打手"為他們的餐廳寫出一個 fantastic 的評語?以下是我今天吃完 Brunch 後給我的印象,以供參考:

1) 餐廳因為促銷,所以食客爆燈。就連 reception 外面的小小 waiting area 都被餐廳臨時擺上幾個桌子來應付龐大的食客。餐廳裡面也看得出臨時擺多了餐桌,因為离 buffet table 一尺距離就有一排餐桌,食客拿食物時都會撞到正在進食的其他食客。廁所旁邊也有一排 sofa 餐桌,你們可以想像今天的食客有幾多
。不知道小孩子是不是免費,因為有父母也帶了小孩來進食。其中有一個大概三歲幾的男仔,不知道是不是被"怕輸"的父母不斷餵食食物,盡然在餐廳拿飲料的位置大吐特吐
,好恐怖!

2) 餐廳最好吃的便是生蠔,毫無疑問香港人都會第一時間去拿生蠔。因為生蠔是即開,而且每一次只可以拿三件,所以可想而知排隊的人龍有幾長。開生蠔的職員也夠可憐的,一個人開,食客衹能慢慢的等。我不想花時間排隊,所以就去拿其它食物。而且我發现生蠔 bar裡的生蠔在 1.45pm 就所剩無幾,2.05pm 就關了 oyster counter。以一個高級餐廳來講,真的有點小氣。

3) 餐廳提供的食物,諸位看我以下照片就知道了,真的不是很多選擇。其實在我其他寫的食評裏我經常都強調我並不注重食物的多寡,而是看重食物的品質。但今天的這餐 Brunch,如果以正價$596的價錢來吃,我覺得不值。我唯一沒有拍的食物是 salad、sushi、青口和螺,其它食物基本上都出現在我以下的照片。

4) 原來買一送一的餐牌跟平時 Brunch 的餐牌是不一樣的。諸位可以看我附上的餐牌,然後再到 JW 的網頁參考他們 Brunch 的餐牌便知道我説甚麼了。

最後,我認為餐廳如果覺得買一送一這個促銷會讓餐廳虧本就不應該搞這樣的促銷。如果因為促銷而提高人氣但又讓食物的質素有所妥協,長期來說是不會成功的。

總的來說,我絕不會花$596+10%來吃這頓 Brunch,因為以這個價錢其它餐廳會有更好的選擇。
