这几年因餐厅突然间停业了。及後只知道有午餐时段;後来才供应晚餐,一直没时间再光顾。今年到了香港餐厅周,J先生挑选了 - Flint 餐厅没有昔日优雅而宁静气氛,因餐厅将部份位置设定为行政贵宾室……疫情下,每张枱设有透明玻璃作为屏风阻隔自家制面包,外脆内软,上台时还带有微温;配上一层薄薄海盐之牛油,味道不错!J先生话:味道不错!无酒精饮品:荔枝+红萝卜+鲜榨柠檬汁 每啖有清新感觉带子被煎到刚熟,外层煎香,肉质软腍;加上焦糖苹果片,爽口而多了一份层次另配搭上四款芥辣可供选择我俩头盘及主菜是挑选了一样的摆盘不错!五成熟的澳洲和牛肉眼,味道浓郁,肉质带粉嫩色泽,配上自家制烧汁芥辣,又作另一番风味;调了味道的厚切薯条,可以不需茄汁而够香口;芦笋煎到刚口爽脆套餐原来包括饮品一杯J先生饮冻柠檬茶,茶底清香;而我则点了香气扑鼻之热咖啡。J先生话:吃落不似炖蛋!我试了一啖口感似日式蛋士蛋糕朱古力慕丝蛋糕配以热情果带酸味道,中和了朱古力甜度;加上饼乾碎,再提升了另一个层次平日晚市四道菜套餐餐单Flint 总结:值得一试!

以前是Flint 熟客,几乎每星期必到,後来,要转型,後有失落感今次,得悉Flint 有Saturday lunch ,马上订座!景物依旧,但人面全非,食物...前菜 - 卖相靓,份量小,味道一般主菜 - 鱼,味道似咸鱼,鱼皮颇脆,鱼肉结实...甜品 - 系add on item ,$58,chess - 样子新頴,味道普通若不太要求高,或不与以往比较,算系平实的午餐,@$480 ,但感觉似canteen 的味道往日的水准,及味道,只能在追忆中

本来三只小娃🐸去英国、荷兰旅行,由於疫情肆虐,扩散全球,被逼取消旅游大计。其中一只小蛙由英国回留要进行14 天家居检疫,前晚已经完成检疫。於是昨天出嚟庆祝一下,消消闷气和失望的心情。天公不作美,不停下雨☔️,谂住很少人外出吃饭,就没有做 reservation。装修後,第一次来,应该系因应政府的要求枱与枱之间不少於1.5 米距离,所有员工带上口罩工作,仲预备酒精消毒湿纸巾和多些纸巾给客人除口罩,好细心👍🏻!所以觉得更舒服和食得安心。坐下即递上暖水和 menu,听到我们想叫龙虾(招牌菜)就即刻上前话比我哋知剩番二只,叫佢即留,回来告诉我们实质只剩番一只,真系有点失望,唯有让比小娃吃啦!我们两只中娃分别叫了肉眼和西冷,(都系煮得出色的招牌菜),头盆小娃叫了炸虾😋,中娃我俩叫了切片墨鱼(视觉效果美,成朵花🌸那样,味道好又不韧,只系我俩觉得太多)。甜品叫了厨师推介咖啡球一客和二个口味清新似 mouse 拼饼😋,加埋我至爱的咖啡☕️,满足!享受完午餐,侍应还送上每人一份小礼物,好惊喜呢!是由餐厅经理找赞助得来的,简直系疫情下的一点甜!

疫情严峻,但对美食的渴求难减,权宜之计是拣一些枱与枱隔得够开及清洁卫生皆能给予信心的地方去享受美味的午餐,今次拣选了金钟的Flint,餐厅提供的weekday lunch menu前菜,主菜,及甜品,也有多元的选择。这儿的面包非常出色,皮薄而脆,内层软而湿润,看得见大小不同的气孔,上桌时热烘烘的,再加上洒了像雪花的海盐牛油,让人吃不停口,一间餐厅的水准,看细节位便知一二。面包配龙虾汤,也是一绝,因这儿的龙虾汤不会过咸或过腻,加上干邑cream,也有爽甜龙虾肉,令味道更添雅致。喝过汤後,仍有胃口迎接前菜加主菜。前菜,我点了温泉蛋,置顶有黑鱼籽,拌以入口爽甜小青椒,座底的香烤去衣茄子茸,再加木鱼花烹肴的汁,味鲜,又不过浓,口感丰盛!主菜非牛莫属,这儿的striploin,肉味足,加上少许牛脂,让味蕾享受到久违了的满足,六成,应是至洽度好处的熟度,同时,flint's steak sauce的味道竟唤起我曾在巴黎一间长龙steak house吃过的风味。更有惊喜的是拌碟的烟肉薯蓉,行的路线不是Robuchon 的丝滑,是让人先品尝到薯仔自然的甜,薯粒再在口腔溶化,剩下香气的佳品。这儿的甜品,

主菜非牛莫属,这儿的striploin,肉味足,加上少许牛脂,让味蕾享受到久违了的满足,六成,应是至洽度好处的熟度,同时,flint's steak sauce的味道竟唤起我曾在巴黎一间长龙steak house吃过的风味。更有惊喜的是拌碟的烟肉薯蓉,行的路线不是Robuchon 的丝滑,是让人先品尝到薯仔自然的甜,薯粒再在口腔溶化,剩下香气的佳品。这儿的甜品,每月也会转款式,只需加$58,绝不是普通的一件朱古力蛋糕或芝士饼加一球雪糕的行货,卖相及配搭也甚有巧思。

今次试了Sweetheart 及Green。Sweetheart的重点材料是Ruby Chocolate,  而Green就更有惊喜,除了有牛油果造型及材料,那中间的牛油果核更是朱古力脆皮包着yogurt sorbet。我觉得,若不留肚吃甜品,损失一定是自己!
题外话/补充资料: 这儿的员工,优点是在「疫」境下,仍能保持积极、友善及愉快的心情去服务食客,笑容不一定是从口部才看得出来,眼神也能透露不少,见到他们,令自己也萌生了要更积极快乐的面对困境的想法!

It’s been quite a long time since I had lunch or dinner at Flint’s.Today, went for lunch with an old friend, he mentioned that Flint’s menu has recently moved to be served at Cafe JW - felt like lost treasure founded!An appetiser with main course as a lunch set is served from HK$300-HK$400.Seasonal menu, this Cavier Egg was of a very nourishing texture, almost a symphony playing in my mouth. Seasonal menu, this Cavier Egg was of a very nourishing texture, almost a symphony playing in my mouth. The sauce was of a mild savoury taste with a hint of flavour of that of bonito flakes (dried squid). Light, cold and refreshing.

Salmon & Potato Mash was interestingly served with deep fried fish skin and a creamy sauce. Flint never disappoints, once again, the verdict remains the same. Salmon was only very softly cooked, leaving the fish still rather raw, loved it. In contrast, the skin of the Salmon was extremely crispy, I almost could break it by just hitting it lightly with my knife.

To beautifully end the course, both my friend and myself opted for this light like sorbet, and is generously served with fruits such as strawberries, pineapple, watermelon and melon.


I would definitely come again.

JW万豪酒店主要系做自助餐为主,我个人比较细食,食自助餐就唔抵,但原来JW万豪酒店入边有间FLINT,有做set lunch,今日就去试试佢啦!佢嘅午餐系喺头盘同主菜,包一杯coffee or tea,我地两个人嗌左两个套餐加一份甜品,加上餐厅提供左餐包,都好够饱。杂菌面豉汤,入面有只流心蛋,几特别嘅一款汤,不过唔系好够热凯撒沙律,胜在够大份牛扒唔会煎过龙,够大份伊比利亚猪,个人觉得比牛扒出色,系限时供应嫁!荔枝Mousse Dessert

Started from the bread and butter, I would like to recommend the butter, very soft and creamy and I heard that is made by the restaurant itself The dishes are nice presented and I have tried the halibut, the carrot source is really excellent and the fish is fresh!

I work in Admiralty so I dine in this area very often. Flint is one of my favourites because it’s easy to find a table here. The ribeye is good, and is value-for-money. The lobster bisque is OK. It’s a five star hotel, but the latte served is not good.... maybe latte provided in Starbucks or Island ShangriLa nearby would be better?Service - it’s great, and I cannot find anything to complain. The staff of Flint - professional and warm.

This restaurant is located in JW Marriott Hotel, and you have to go through the Executive Lounge, with a nice contemporary setting and decor offering comfort and warm environment. Seated a table facing the window, the staff smartly came back with a small stool for us to put our bags, demonstrating the impeccable services we experienced throughout the meal. I chose Crab Meat Salad and Qwehli Sustainable Whole Dover Sole ($450) while my wife went for Soup Pot (clam chowder) and Iberico Pork Burger ($280). The salad was beautifully rendered, with the crab meat wonderfully seasoned to highlight the delicate flavors, and supplemented with grapefruit jelly and flesh which gave some acidity to freshen up the plate even further. The avocado puree and brown crab mayonnaise also provided a rich and creamy complements to the crab meat and salad. A truly nice salad and appetizer.

The Clam Chowder was served in a soup pot, of a big portion. With plenty of clam, potatoes and bacon, the soup was creamy and tasty. Although I did not sample it, the soup was certainly appealing and even made me tempted to order one just in addition to my salad. Maybe have to do it next time...

My main course was a whole sole, served with prawn-horseradish butter, Jerseys Royals and asparagus. Qwehli is a Paris company supplying seafood to renowned restaurants in the world, with a deep care to the planet so the seafood is caught in a sustainable manner. This sole was fairly large in size, very nicely done, pan-fried to perfection and the butter sauce enabled the delicate flavors of the fish to shine through. There were some asparagus and potatoes to accompany. I could use a bit more salt but overall it was still another great dish.

The main course for my wife was the pork burger. The pork was juicy and nicely grilled, and there was a chipotle mayo giving a hint of spiciness to the meat, with arugula instead of lettuce, a smart choice to pair the peppery notes with the pork. An apple compote was given on the side, along with some Old Bay fat chips. I had tried a bite and it was wonderfully done. Another reason for me to return to this restaurant.

Served also with coffee or tea, the total bill on the day was $902. It was a very reasonably priced restaurant and good value for money. I don't know the reason why they decided not to open for dinner, but if you are in Admiralty and looking for a nice place to have lunch with some good food, now there is one of good choices.

Flint Grill and Bar at JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong is undergoing a rebranding of some sort in August. Instead of Flint Grill and Bar, it's now just Flint. They have also done some touch-up on the food menu although the restaurant remains primarily a steakhouse. Lunch didn't start off the way I hoped it would. I love ahi tuna but this was really disappointing.

This came with three large tuna cubes each wrapped with a slice of 5J Iberico ham and served with a small pool of Romanesco sauce and wild rocket leaf. I thought everything that could go wrong did go wrong with this dish (Murphy's Law?). For starters, the presentation just looked awful. It looked nothing like a dish coming out of a hotel restaurant. Then, the tuna, way too chewy with a lot of tendons in the middle. And last but not least, when you've already marinated the tuna with spicy soy, why would you still serve it with a flavorful Romanesco sauce (Better going the safe way with avocado puree?).

My main course was a little better. Although my USDA Nebraska rib-eye didn't show up "medium" as I've ordered it to be, it was decent (even when it's overcooked).

Despite all the grill marks, I thought the rib-eye didn't have that nice smoky flavor to it. I wonder why?
