Booked this lunch over a month ago via Groupon. Been to Fat Angelo's at other locations before but this was my first visit to the Kennedy Town branch. The restaurant looked quite busy on a Sunday lunch time with both dine-ins and takeaways, but we were quickly led to our reserved table after confirming booking. We had the Executive set lunch which came with bread, salad, soup, choice of main, gelato and a drink. BreadThe bread came in a big bucket and each one was huge. But it was stale and tasteless. A little bit better after I tried it with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. SaladIt was a small bowl of green salad. Everything tasted fresh and the vinegarette dressing was light and refreshing. Spaghetti with Mussels and Clams The spaghetti was cooked perfectly (al dente) and blended well with the tangy sauce (with olive oil, garlic and chili). Unfortunately the mussels were very fishy and seemed not fresh. The clams were ok. Overall the portion was quite small. Big BreakfastThis was a huge dish with a little big of everything, although nothing really stood out. The potatoes were over fried. BBQ RibsA generous portion of ribs served with grilled corn and fries. The ribs were tender and delicious but the potato fries were oily and tasteless. The corn, although a bit burnt, was sweet and juicy. Minestrone SoupI think they were running of of soup in the kitchen as our soup came as we were half way through the mains. Despite the long wait the soup was just ok. It had lots of veggies but I could not taste much flavour in the soup. GelatoYou can choose from a few different flavours from the gelato counter. The double chocolate was my favourite - rich and soft without being too sweet.

圣诞节一到,人人也很想藉著假期日子和朋友欢乐共聚。可惜像我这些红日例必上班的人士,能凑时间共聚是十分困难的事,就只好靠返工的前后摄时间食个饭。今天就和朋友到公司附近的肥天使吃饭,感觉上挂上「圣诞」之名,食也要食豪一点才算是庆祝呢。时间尚早,我们就成了这店舖的第一枱客人,员工以九秒九的速度就递上冰水和餐牌。木红色的砖墙上除了挂满很多欧陆风情的漫画图册和红白格子的桌布枱,洋溢著写意的田园气息之外,更怖满很多与圣诞有关的饰物;近bar枱上挂满一大堆红色袜子,窗上贴著雪人和雪花贴纸,室内播放著圣诞乐曲,我也置身在这悠扬乐韵的快活中,圣诞真的到来了!即使是圣诞节,店舖仍采用原有套餐餐牌,价钱有平有贵,lunch combo($88)最平,主要是以薄饼、意粉为主菜;Executive set lunch($148),则有香烧鸡、BBQ ribs,还有意式雪糕一客;至于the directors table($198),餐汤升级至蟹肉浓汤,主菜则有T-Bone扒,羊架等等,甜品除意式雪糕外,还有cheese cake拌杂莓、Tiramisu、特浓朱古力饼配焦糖酱可供选择。基本上,套餐一般已包括餐汤、餐包、沙律、咖啡或茶及雪糕,计起来其实亦很化算。前菜先上了餐包和沙律,自家制面包比拳头还要大,拿上手仍有余温,外层包皮偏硬身,稍为要用力用刀子才能切开,但内𥚃却是松软得很,醮上意大利醋和橄榄油,酸酸咪咪,油润可口,胃容量顿时开阔不少。沙律只是用上生菜,紫洋葱,蕃茄和黑橄榄,再加入蒜蓉和醋调味,清新爽口,为稍后的油腻食法先调一调和。餐汤则是杂菜汤,用料非常丰富,有红萝卜、蕃茄,洋葱碎,薯仔,意外地还加入长通粉,面头洒上香草碎看来是调色而非调味,整体味道一点也不像下了很重味精,不会过咸或过淡,饮后完全不需要额外饮水冲淡味蕾,把蕃茄部份打成蓉更增强口感。主菜小妹点了重量级早餐,份量很像完全为健力士的人作准备,实在大得惊人,就连小妹这眼阔肚窄的人也认为太多了吧!早餐包括了茄汁豆十、蕃茄、薯条粒、杂蘑菇、烟肉、白肉肠、炒蛋和麦包。因为小妹不爱吃蕃茄,所以连同茄汁豆一拼硬要塞向我的朋友碟子里去了。炒蛋份量有两只之多,煮得不太熟仍有丰盈的蛋汁,不过小妹却不喜欢已加入盐或胡椒的炒蛋,失去了原有鸡蛋的原汁原味;而炒蛋之下有两片麦包盛著,吸收了多余的蛋汁,令麦包又添多一份香气,口感湿润而不干硬,烟韧而有嚼头。至于炒杂菇,黑色凌乱一堆,经烤焗过后多了一份清新的菇香,食下去香甜多汁,连朋友都不断过来抢食;但小妹最喜爱的烟肉则只有一块,瘦脊如贫,煎得有点硬,亦过份咸;至于白肉肠,味道看似清淡,但原来跟烟肉同一样的咸,香草的味道正正是花椒八角一样浓烈的气味,与清新的香草完全不相乎,我和朋友吃完一啖后也急急放下停手了。朋友点了西冷扒配香草牛油,份量几乎大过一只手面呢。拌碟的薯条亦十分劲量,厚度起码是麦当当所吃的有两、三倍有多,拿上手仍是热烘烘,油份不多不会弄得成手指也是油,外脆内软,轻轻洒上盐已经很美味了。要求了七成熟,西冷扒缘边位有一肥筋位亦很轻易切开,其他也是啖啖肉。没有血水色渗出,肉质呈嫩红状态,入口松化,完全没有渣;配上香草牛油更添香气,但若然再多一点会更理想;不过采用瓷碟盛上,令西冷扒很快变冻,还是以鐡板烧的形式端上好得多。饮品全是无限添饮,小妹选择了冻柠茶,朋友则选了热柠水,并附上糖浆自由添加。不过红茶不够浓厚,但兴幸再添加的红茶也是同一茶底,无限添饮的质素大概是如此吧。但柠檬被切成一所"够够"而非一片片的,结果"吉"了很久才喝到淡淡的柠檬味。来到小妹最期待的甜品环节,就是近年大行其道的gelato。这里的款式不多,只有杏仁,云呢拿,朱古力和士多啤梨等口味,我们选择了最后的两款。Gelato与ice cream的分别在于前者空气含量较少,密度高令味道更集中而浓郁,而其标榜著热量低更深受大众欢迎。士多啤梨味比想像中酸甜,每啖都能吃到士多啤梨干,质感香软幼滑;至于朱古力味,更吃到像可可粉沉淀在杯底的口感,浓滑细腻。

迟来的食评星期六约了同屋企人去食饭,想试下新开的意大利餐Fat Angelo's西环分店到达餐厅既时间大约系八点左右啦!唔需要等位就已经可以入去了餐厅的环境跟其他的Fat Angelo's无异,光线比较柔和,点播了英文的歌曲;还有餐桌上的桌布依旧系红色的格子首先他们都赠送意大利面包和沙律-----6/10味道食物方面我们点了一个自选Pizza厚批(有海鲜同蘑菇)-------7/10味道而主菜我们叫了猪仔骨和烧鸡猪仔骨肉质可以;仲肉汁流出------7.5/10味道但烧鸡的皮就烧得过了火,柴皮;不好食-----4/10味道总体黎讲系一间环境ok,不过食物味道仲需要改善的餐厅;还有餐厅整体的服务水平都是ok没有什么大问题(因为需要他们下单或做其他东西时,他们的行动都非常快捷;细心帮忙客人)

为庆祝生日,老婆特地在团购网站购买了 Fat Angelo's Lunch Set 团购,一份是二人普通 set lunch,一份是升级版二人 executive set lunch,因此共有 4 个套餐。这里环境不错,装潢是意大利餐厅格局,但感觉 relax,坐得舒服。先上枱是面包,4个,超大,像法式面包般有点硬,但可幸仍微暖及麦味浓,涂上牛油吃风味不错。二人 set lunch 的沙律,菜加番茄,滔上意式沙律酱,好 fresh。二人 executive set lunch 的冷盘前菜,有三种不同火腿及芝士,配上薯仔火箭菜,火腿腌得很入味,咸咸的易入口,滔上 olive oil 吃非常醒胃。芝士不是一般人可以接受,骚味重。二人 executive set lunch 的龙虾汤,内有龙虾肉,重忌廉味,超好喝!二人 executive set lunch 的龙虾海鲜意大利粉,龙虾汁 sause 配上龙虾仔、番茄及鱿鱼仔,意料煮得 al dente,爽!二人 executive set lunch 的 Prime rib,我没有吃,家人点了 7 成熟,但上枱后似 8 成,幸好肉眼扒还少量'林'身,牛肉味亦超浓,可以接受。二人 set lunch 的烧鸡,本以为用刀叉吃烧鸡很麻烦,但这里烧得刚好骨肉分离,易切易拆。鸡用上很多香料烧,正好是我最爱的味道。二人 set lunch 的烤猪勒骨,这个烤得有点 over,骨亦相对大件,肉不太多,而且有点难切。烤汁是 BBQ 汁,肉汁锁著,很 juicy。甜品有三款,Tiramisu 造得很有水准,那种松软的感觉很难做到的但这里做得刚刚好,cake 浸满酒香,layer 层次分明,像吃雪糕但其实是蛋糕,超赞!相比之下,Chocolate cake 没有惊喜,朱古力蛋糕有两个 layers,中间是较为实的朱古力蛋糕,外层是 moist 朱古力,切下去反而切散。应该是用上 70% 朱古力做,苦味超出,感觉很腻。最后是 Gelato,vanilla 味,Gelato 一般感觉较实,但这里造得较松软,刚好是 balance 雪糕及一般 Gelato 的软硬度,而且这里的 Gelato 不易溶,吃了很久像原封不动似的,vanilla 味好香好滑,吃得我女儿非常开心!

6/6/2013 跟男友2个用膳, 我们7:45pm入座, 服务员亲切友善的带我们坐下, 然后跟我们说8时前happy hour 饮品买一送一, 我跟男友分别点了汽水及柠檬茶, 还无限添任呢, 服务员再为我们推介为庆祝集团成立60周年, 惠顾主菜送配菜1客, 我们选了主菜-龙虾配牛柳7成熟 ($358) + 配菜-香草焗新薯 (Free), 服务员先为我们送上饮品, 过了一会, 便有餐包及沙律, 味道不俗, 餐包有点硬, 男友切了一会儿都未能切开, 服务员主动上前询问我们餐包是否过硬, 更主动地换另一个给我们, 吃完餐包跟沙律, 主菜也到了, 时间刚刚好, 牛柳很软很香, 牛味浓郁, 龙虾虾肉很弹牙, 味道特别, 有别于其他餐厅的做法, 带有芝士香及有点儿辣, 很惹味! 美中不足是烹调用油较多, 伴菜都可以滴出油来, 可能美式菜的关系吧 吃完了主菜, 到甜品时间, 我们跟侍应说想要3球Homemade Galeto, 他让我们选之余, 还主动让我们试味, 西环的分店有12种口味, 比其他分店多, 完全满足喜欢吃甜品的我, 我们试了数款后, 选了Double Chocolate, Baked Pecan & Strawberry, 3款都很好味, 我最喜欢Baked Pecan, 有很多Pecan , 很有咬口, 令人再三回味 ^^无限添任服务也非常体贴周到, 他们会主动为我们添饮, 餐后亦会询问我们的用餐满意度, 发表完我的意见后, 他们说会用心跟进作出改善, 然后再送上了一张85折会员卡给我们 ^^
