舖位是英皇中心街舖,可想而知我付的有起码一半是给杨受成而不是对雪糕满有热诚的店主,想到这里就觉得很不是味儿。店员好亲切好有热诚,会叫你试食唔同味道雪糕。入舖后左右靠墙各有二三个坐位,反而柜面后面的工作空间颇大。那部法拉利级雪糕机今次我跟它缘悭一面,因为听店员讲已搬到尖沙咀准备开张的新舖了。叫了杯黑芝麻味的,拿上手的第一感觉是10分坠手,显然是雪糕的密度相当之高,吃落口证明我的感觉没有错,跟一般的雪糕很不一样。雪糕不会太甜,芝麻香味足够。店员也给我试食过芒果味,也十分之清香,下次吧。店内还挂又好像是美食比赛的奖状。雪糕口味有芒果、士多啤梨、牛油果、蜜瓜、白桃、朱古力、伯爵茶、焦糖、炭烧焙茶、开心果、栗子、云呢拿、牛奶、黑芝麻、日本抹茶、好像是数之不尽的一个清单。座位比较狭小,但在这寸金尺土的香港也能体谅。店舖的整体摆设10分耀眼夺目,墙上贴满了店主与各个饮食界名人的合照。

So many flavours of gelato. All made fresh in the shop. They have a huge gelato maker, quite amusing to watch the guy mix the gelato.Different flavors come in different prices. They have some seasonal flavours but they’re quite pricey.Recently had the melon flavoured gelato and it was $98 per scoop. Anyway, worth every penny if you got money to spare.Definitely come back next time to try other flavours This made me happySatisfied

这店笔者早在两年前它刚开张的时候已说要来,一直拖到最近重新执笔才下定决心到访;毕竟店址不在大街,要特地绕道而来,到底也会觉得麻烦。想当初也因此怕他营业额不足而倒闭,然而两年过去,店仍在,看来担心是多余的。甫进店,四百呎大的店有三分二是厨房,能站人的大概只有一百呎。右旁的黑板写上今天雪糕的口味及价钱。扫了一眼,黑板上头三项是开心果、芒果、朱古力,正是报道中曾提及的招牌口味。三心两意,最后点了朱古力及开心果,盛惠一百一十一大元——不便宜不打紧,最重要是好吃。老板闻毕,打开雪柜,左手拿杯右手拿著类似饭勺的勺子往雪糕面刮,轻轻几下便刮了一团,却没有急著要往纸杯里放,而是略为于雪糕桶内再翻拌几下,直到呈泥胶状才用杯盛起。朱古力味重放底,开心果放上。先试开心果。用小匙刮了一口,反著放进口内,用舌头往上一顶将雪糕留住,再把小匙缘上颚慢慢拉出。幼滑的雪糕在舌上慢慢融化,开心果味不断往四方八面蔓延,不知不觉间便包裹整个口腔,香气愈来愈重;雪糕融到一半,烟韧黏稠的口感开始出现,只好用嚼的方式把它了结。吞了落喉,奶香再也躲藏不住,夹杂着开心果的仁香在口腔内回荡,挥之不去,浪漫。来一口朱古力,可可的甘香不留余地的冲击了整个口腔,丝毫没有留一点情面给开心果;甘到尽头有明显的甜拦著了理应的苦,没有奶或忌廉的踪影却幼滑且无单宁感。吞下去,剩下的只有朱古力的浓厚甘甜,一绝。不消十分钟,吃毕,意犹未尽,却停住了自己,留下一个再来的理由。单纯想吃雪糕解暑的话,还是奉劝你别来了,到麦当劳买杯雪糕也就五元,随便吃吃便好。来这里追求的是味道,吃的是意式雪糕而不是随处可见的美式冰淇淋;就如回转寿司跟厨师发办一样,没得比,也比不了。

When in Milan, an Italian described the textured composition of the ‘perfect’ Gelato: “It should be as smooth as mashed potatoes...the flavor of the ice cream should be so potent that there is no doubt that it comes from the earth and not the machine”.Doods’ served me cold mashed potatoes. It was delicious. I picked the pistachio flavor - which in my gelato tasting opinion - the quickest way to test how artificial an parlour’s ingredients are. Typically you can taste the overly saturated fake candy flavor, but it seems as though this was made with real pistachios. I am most impressed!! My mother went for the white Japanese peach flavor. She is not easily impressed by well, anything. But both her and my father loved their respective ice creams!
