是晚又是跟好朋友庆祝生日的日子, 跟他们见面的机会不多, 就是我们四人的四个生日, 每次都会挑选不同的店子, 这次就拣了这家必比登泰菜店. 先来的虾片, 脆卜卜, 不俗.冻香矛班兰叶茶 $48: 8分, 每人拣了一杯饮品, 我要的是冻香矛班兰叶茶, 香矛味不会太重, 加上班兰叶的香味, 几有特色.冻意大利泡沫咖啡 $38: 这杯是文迪要的饮品.意大利泡沫咖啡 $30: 这杯是朋友的饮品.鲜薄荷茶 $30: 这杯是朋友的饮品.招牌暹罗沙律 $60: 8分, 菜几新鲜, 加上豆腐, 几特别, 而沙律酱就是花生酱, 都几开胃的.冬荫虾汤 $65: 8分, 想不到辣度是如此强劲, 是完全超越我能忍受的程度. 是越饮越觉得辣的程度. 不过, 话说回头, 个汤是相当惹味, 够香口, 虾也够鲜, 爱吃辣的朋友一定会喜欢.冬荫三文鱼清汤 $65: 朋友就要了这个冬荫三文鱼清汤, 我试了一口, 辣度相对低一点.泰式炒金边粉包蛋 $68: 8分, 卖相几靓, 金边粉炒得有火气, 香口惹味, 也真的做到蛋包著金边粉.招牌咖哩炒蟹 $198: 8分, 咖哩汁几香浓, 辣度不算是好劲, 但配上蟹肉是几抢味的. 蟹也几新鲜, 作为招牌, 是满意的.烧香辣牛柳粒 $135: 8分, 又一个辣的菜色, 真是吃到不太受得了. 牛柳是几辣, 但又真系相当香口, 肉质不会实实, 以牛柳粒, 火候是几好.咸鱼炒芥兰 $55: 7分, 炒得太油了, 不过咸鱼配上芥兰, 味道上是几匹配, 芥兰也几靓.南瓜布甸 $48: 7分, 甜品方面, 南瓜布甸的南瓜味不太出到, 定是我的舌头已辣到麻木了? 不过布甸的质感是几好.芒果燸米 $58: 6分, 芒果不太靓, 燸米硬了点. 文迪是吃芒果燸米的专家, 这个对她来说, 不满意.食物整体来讲是有水准, 环境也几舒适, 不过人手不太足, 服务就差了点. 至于我们这四人小组, 下次再吃的就是越南菜. 继续阅读

和友人二人晚饭,叫了一个芦笋、素春卷以及curry prawn。芦笋本身还ok,但被一个不知所云/只有甜的“献”覆盖著。素春卷密麻麻只有粉丝,皮只硬不脆,我相信他们当然未能即叫即包,但给一点点的诚意罢?差过7-11包装。Curry Prawn ok 。我明白中环要生存的话就要有些妥协,但这样的泰国菜没有wok气、没有诚意,当是买个晚餐环境/地点罢。 继续阅读

If it's a weekend and there are more than four (4) of you eating, I suggest that you call ahead and make a booking. Otherwise, just show up at the door and enjoy.Cafe Siam has got the Central-restaurant vibe balance down pat - located along Lyndhurst Terrace, almost right below the mid-levels escalator, it is very accessible and easy to find. It has a fairly nice exterior that projects an image of affordability without looking like a fast-food joint. I like how they employ Thai personnel to further project an image of authenticity; and I appreciate the assertiveness of the server who waited on us that night - she made suggestions on what to order and which dish goes well with which other dish, provided us with additional information on the food that we were interested in trying, etc. We ordered a couple of appetizers:We had the mixed satay (chicken and beef). (The chicken satay were immediately gobbled up so they weren't included in the picture.)Then we had some deep-fried shrimp cake which were absolutely perfect! Crisp and lightly-bready on the outside, soft and very shrimp-y on the inside. We also had some deep-fried prawn spring rolls which were absolutely delectable. I like it that the spring roll wrap remained crispy long after the food had gotten cold.We also ordered some pandan chicken which were very nice and tender (I've had some chicken pandan at other restaurants where the chicken is about as tough as soggy plywood). And then we had pineapple rice which was a cacophony of different tastes - salty, sweet and sour all at once because of the many ingredients mixed in. Even the texture was an amazing mix of soft, fluffy, crunchy and chewy.All in all, it was a very satisfying dining experience - the food was delicious, the staff were efficient, even the music being played seemed to fit in very well with the restaurant vibe. 新一年先同中同朋友仔补食返个x’mas饭不过唔紧要啦, 大家都只系希望见个面倾下计我地叫左两个lunch set.. 有汤+主菜+甜品泰式例汤系青菜玉子豆腐加猪肉粒个汤清澈见底.. 都叫有味, 但唔好味泰式虾酱炒饭腊肠有d 过分干身虾酱味不是太浓泰式干炒海鲜面面条软硬适中, 惊讶佢系伊面, 不错~不过有d 辣.. 都ok椰汁糕食过最差既甜品又唔甜, 又无味, 成旧野好硬同好爽.. 计味道应该唔差, 但最好唔好叫lunch set 啰.. 继续阅读

朋友从澳门回来, 本想吃意粉, 可是到现场才发现已经关门大吉. 逛逛之下看见此家泰国菜, 一试无妨吧!虾片 - 辣辣地都唔差.椰青 - 清甜可口.柚子沙律 - 干葱, 虾干加柚子, 不过柚子酸咗d, 但都可以既.炸虾饼 - 即炸, 香口, 虾味浓, 唔差.炒椰菜苗 - 椰菜苗炒得唔够腍, 味道一般.虾酱炒饭 - 虾酱香味朴鼻, 配咗d 比较实同甜嘅肉碎, 同一d 好似腊肠嘅配料, ok既.泰式茄子煲 - 椰子味比较香, 味道麻麻, 卖相唔吸引.烧桂花 - 鱼新鲜, 亦片起咗鱼皮方便食, 配埋个泰式辣汁, 唔错. 继续阅读
