My first visit to Duddell's was a week day.I was with 2 friends, we had the chance to sit outdoor and enjoy the wonderful terrace.We order quite a few dishes that we shared.The waiting time was short, all the food was presented nicely and all the dishes were extremely good!We had some wine and a couple of cocktails. The all experience was great, the service is smooth and the waiting staff is very friendly.Duddell's to me is perfect for a get together dinner, lunch or even just for drinks!I reall

The waiting time was short, all the food was presented nicely and all the dishes were extremely good!

We had some wine and a couple of cocktails.

The all experience was great, the service is smooth and the waiting staff is very friendly.

Duddell's to me is perfect for a get together dinner, lunch or even just for drinks!

I really wanna go back and try the brunch, I heard many positive thing about it!

今天同hubby共享美食之旅-米芝莲二星都爹利会馆。由於座位爆满,只有露台位,我们尝试忘却炎热天气,一试weekend brunch. 先嚟order 苹果汁同Diet Coke,苹果汁好正!唔系超级市场货式,系鲜搾的!原汁原味!虾饺非常鲜美,皮很薄,虾肉鲜;叉烧包,皮很松化,甜饀味道精致。腐皮卷:高水凖制作!腐皮很薄很脆,有豆香,鲜菇饀清新。醉鸡翼:已去骨,非常入味重酒味。菠萝咕噜肉:非常正!皮很薄很脆,肉很嫩仲有肉汁,外脆内软!酸甜汁酸度刚刚好,薄薄的挂在肉面上,好味!黑椒鲜菌牛仔骨:好够镬气,肉很juicy 又够入味带焦香,黑椒唔辣而带辛香,好得!贵妃酥香骨:有酥化的脆皮,味道有点像京都骨,不错!鸭胸:外脆肉嫩,帯烟燻味,估吾到鸭胸可以咁好食。酸辣汤:味道OK 但唔突出;粟米汤:很普通,家庭风味。腰果露:很香腰果味,唔太甜,质地幼滑;牛油果朱古力西米露:估吾到咁夹,很香滑,又有牛油果香,正!总括:二星餐厅的确有二星服务水准,而点心不错,炒的餸则非常出色,环境摩登舒适,可以一试。

Booked a large table next to the bar for a group gathering at Duddell's after work to hang out. We ordered quite a few drinks (standard drinks, old fashion, whisky...etc.) as well as some snacks off the menu (shrimp ha gow, pork dumplings, sushi). dimsum was mediocre. and this is what what other people were raving about. it was bland. tasteless.for example, we had the chicken pie - the crust was hard and too sweet.we tried the abalone - it was expensive, nothing more.the spring roll had black truffle - yes you could smell but not taste.pork dumpling - too gooeywe also tried the fried rice with egg, crab meat and black truffle. there was hardly any taste.the fried pork belly with garlic - you would think it was full of flavor due to the ga

the service was excellent though. for the small place there seemed to be too many people walking around but you never have to wait to call someone's attention.

why this has 2 michelin stars I cannot explain. I don't think those guys at michelin have gone around HK enough to find the really good, authentic places.

if it's cantonese and/or dimsum you want, there are literally dozens of other places with better food. perhaps not the ambience. but for this price, is that what you really want to spend your money on?

很难想像Michelin 餐厅有如此恶劣的服务。我们叫了海鲜酸辣羹,基本上,那碗"汤"没有任何酸味,只是一碗甜味献汁吧。叫了侍应来询问,他竟然不屑地说"加些醋给你"。WHAT??? 顾客的意见没有聆听,还不断地驳嘴。今时今日有如此服务态度,难怪香港旅游业不行了。也掉了米芝莲的架!可悲!

Executive lunch set on weekdays cost $360 while dinner tasting menu costs $1280. They also do a wicked weekend brunch with unlimited dim sum, champagnes and cocktails for $680 which is perfect if you ever get bored with eating dim sum with just regular tea! The restaurant is divided into 2 floors with the main restaurant on level 3

Duddell's is a stylish 2 Michelin starred restaurant that serves high end Chinese cuisine with prices to match. Executive lunch set on weekdays cost $360 while dinner tasting menu costs $1280. They also do a wicked weekend brunch with unlimited dim sum, champagnes and cocktails for $680 which is perfect if you ever get bored with eating dim sum with just regular tea! The restaurant is divided into 2 floors with the main restaurant on level 3 and the Salon & Garden Terrace on level 4. Our voucher was only applicable to the Salon & Garden Terrace so I gathered another couple to sample some dim sum and cocktails with us one night. The Salon was a very chic and spacious bar area but luckily they also had regular dining tables with plush red sofas so it was comfortable to eat there as well.

The cocktails looked pretty amazing here so I got the Opium to try with a Johnny Walker base, poppy seed milk, peach and a little touch of lime. It was sweet but well-balanced and refreshing at the same time.

For the food, you can order a la carte or their Sharing Platters which is designed for 4 people. We ended up trying 2 of the 4 sharing platters including the Fiery Specialties ($850) with Smoked Duck Breast with Honey, Barbecued Iberico Pork with Honey, Roasted Suckling Pig and Crispy Salted Duck. Everything was pretty good and the quality was solid but none of the items really stood out here and if you ask me, I felt that the price was pretty steep for the price and it's not like you can't find better quality elsewhere either. But again I guess you dine here for the hip ambiance and the option to drink trendy cocktails with Chinese food.

The Decadent Platter ($800) had Shrimp Dumpling with Matsutake Mushroom, Iberico Pork Dumpling with Shrimp, Taro Puff with Roasted Goose and Goose Liver, Secret Recipe Fried Chicken with Shrimp Paste, Sauteed Mushroom with Asparagus & Capsium, and Braised Vermicelli with Seafood and Egg White. Again the quality was good but none that really wowed us so I won't bore you with the details.

I also wanted to try the Duddell's Peking Duck ($600) which is supposed to be carved at our table and served with all the trimmings (whatever that means) but the staff had warned us that it wasn't really worth it since they only serve us the skin. I appreciated his honesty but since there wasn't anything else I wanted to try, I still ordered the Peking duck which was paraded in whole to our table before being carved somewhere behind the scenes instead of our table like their menu said. I think we got in total 2 plates of crispy Peking duck skin along with steamed pancake wraps and the usual garnishes. I liked the Peking duck skin since it wasn't too fatty and crispy enough but I don't get why they can't serve us the rest of the duck anyways since it's such a waste. I think they said they only serve the skin because that's the best part already blah blah but if I freaking paid for the duck, then I want the whole thing including the meat inside! Most Chinese restaurants will let you take the carcass home so you can make soup with it, and it just makes me wonder what happened to the rest of our duck...

Verdict - the Salon at Duddell's is a trendy place to eat dim sum with cocktails but prices are a bit overpriced for the portions and quality. It's too bad that we didn't get to try the food at the Restaurant level which should be better since it was awarded 2 Michelin stars so I'd want to go back to Duddell's for that.

这篇食评,来到了《都爹利会馆》。餐厅位处都爹利街1号上海滩楼上,电梯门一开,就见到一幅字画装饰,典雅高贵。所选用的餐具颇有风格,翠绿如玉的餐碟,底下还有沉厚的底座,晶莹剔透的长型筷子座等....,摆放十分讲究。午市行政套餐HKD360/位,若配一杯白、粉红或红酒HKD450/位,那就小试牛刀罢!点心拼盘春卷皮炸至金黄香脆,里面包裹着虾仁、甘笋丝和冬菇丝,材料丰盛,蘸一点喼汁,简单的已很美味!虾饺型态饱满,晶莹剔透,而且摺口相当细致,饺皮不算得很薄,但软糯得来带点烟韧,内里包裹着大只爽口虾仁,合格!叉烧肉质松化软腍不肥腻,蜜汁浓郁,带点嚼劲,如果烧得焦香一点感觉会更好!云吞酸辣羹汤料都是一般的木耳、冬菇、鲜笋切成丝,多重口感,但没有我喜爱的蛋花,色泽较浅。云吞馅料虾仁爽口,但略嫌皮身不够薄,质感一般。汤羹味道不够酸辣正宗,淡而无味,要洒上胡椒粉调味,而且汤身较稀,稠度不够,可惜!鲍汁爆鸡球冬菇和鸡球用鲍鱼汁去烹调使其入味,鸡肉口感不算嫩滑,但整体调味倒是没错,还有两颗翠绿的小唐菜做伴碟呢!云腿斑片蒸豆腐斑片不单柔韧充满弹性,云腿带点咸香,肉质不会太实,可惜献汁太多感觉糊口,不大喜欢,而且

飘香荷叶饭
小时候已对荷叶饭,情有独锺。
终於,袖珍版的荷叶饭以蒸笼端上,卖相可爱,揭开面头荷叶,荷香稍欠,只得其形而欠其实,一丁点荷香也嚐不出来,饭粒上色但入口较乾不够湿润,失望之作!

外型小巧的煎堆仔看似平凡,刚炸起的外皮烟韧酥脆不油腻,感觉健康一点,然而馅料不是传统的莲蓉,而用上芳香的杏仁吉士,杏仁味道甜度得宜,口味创新之余又够可口,大爱也~

上司请食饭,有幸来到呢间米芝莲二星餐厅食lunch,实在太开心 !以为呢度要会员先来得,但原来唔洗!我地一同四个人,每人叫左个 executive lunch ($360),连甜品一共有6道菜。第一味系点心拼盘,有三种点心,个蜜汁叉烧好好味!一d都唔韧。个饺都唔错,而个春卷新鲜炸好,好脆,味道一流 跟着主菜方面有个馄饨羹,冬菇鸡球,鱼同荷叶饭,每一样都卖相精致,味道ok,不过就唔算好特别。甜品方面有个咖啡糕同炸煎堆,咖啡糕一般,但个炸煎堆就非常出色!一咬落去有d杏汁流出来,热辣辣好好味 !整体来讲都爹利会馆环境舒适,食物质素唔错,服务都几好,不过价钱就贵左d,一个行政午餐连加一要$400一位,适合来呢个食business lunch,如果要我自己比钱的话就真系唔系好舍得!仲有呢度上菜速度唔快,如果得一个钟lunch会好赶,建议都系搵日有多d时间先来呢度慢慢叹个米芝莲二星lunch!

有一点值得一提。食店原来提供物品储存服务!!若果食客携带较大伴的背囊或手提物,可以先放置在外边的接待处,不用碍手碍脚的放在座位旁或脚下。还是首先遇上食店提供这种服务,米芝莲二星评级果然不是浪得虚名!

餐牌上看到的绅士图案,是这儿的signature logo。 有绅士的地方,当然也要有淑女作伴。用作包装牙签的包装纸,绅士淑女成双成对,精美别致。

非实体餐牌在网上早已浏览,但网上餐牌只有菜式名称没有标示小菜价钱。今次终於在现场看清价目。老外中菜馆加米芝莲二星,高档位价钱大概早有心理准备。

芒果火龙果螺片。碟子的式,幸好螺肉占整碟菜式份量比重算是不错。没有取用过多的调味,纯粹以新鲜的水果配搭螺片清炒。芒果与火龙果稍稍过镬保留其爽甜的味道,感觉清新。螺片爽口肉厚,在水果配衬下鲜味更为突出。

十件小巧的叉烧一字型排开列阵,每件叉烧大小均一,卖相精美。

之前看过网上的食评,对这儿的叉烧大为赞赏。可惜今夜被分配到的叉烧不是最靓的部位,中间部份的筋位不太讨喜。须知道每件叉烧既被切成小口状,可嚼的肉本身己不多,中间的肉若稍有瑕疵便很容易令叉烧的味道给拉下去。$22一件的叉烧,肯恩会有更大的期望。

和牛粒肉味浓郁,被炒得外焦内软。每嚼一口和牛,先吃到外边的焦脆香,继而感受到内里的软肉香及汁香,层次感十分突出。伴上少许芥末,令和牛肉味更见突,绝对是高水准之作,粒粒皆杰作。

儿时吃发菜只是家常便饭。自从发菜受到产量控制後,顿时变成稀有食材。难得今夜可以重寻儿时的滋味,真的需要慢慢细嚐。

其实发菜味道跟海藻差不多,下过那一丝丝细密的质感是唯独一家。

但这道盐香鸡,在那咸香的鸡皮底下,碰到的立时是那肉质鲜嫩的鸡肉。入口吃到的,是啖啖惹味新鲜的鸡肉,绝对不是一般的冰鲜货色。若然是第一次到来会馆,一定要一试这道神级菜式。

服务员把烩饭分好才送到桌上。烩饭做得恰好,不会过湿,仍能吃到分明的饭粒。龙虾肉亦是爽口弹牙。不过五个人可要点一份半的烩饭才可分到这大半碗的份量。来这里,为的不是要吃饱肚,食客要有这种心理素质才好来光顾。

不过知易而行难,要实践也并非易事…

由於是生日寿宴,事先已跟会馆预订寿包。会馆说明寿包是要每两件落单的,我们一行五人单数无奈地只好落订半打寿包。

寿包送上前,还特意要求服务员为寿包添上蜡烛。二星级服务,服务员当然没有推却。

怎料寿包上到来,才发现寿包娇小得令人瞠目。像这样袖珍的寿包,根本就容不下再添插蜡烛的空间,服务员唯有加上件泥胶把蜡烛插在寿包笼正中央了事。

寿包里面只是简单的白莲蓉。结帐时看一看帐单,$20一个的小寿包。生日嘛,不用太计较…(自我调节模式启动中)

离开时在用膳区入口处看到一座屏幕,上面就陈列显示着简单的数个字,低调而有致。

人与人因缘份而相遇,因缘尽而分离。

分离,默默地又成就了另一段的相遇…

刚刚成为资深英雄了。对肯恩来说,似是在为一个旧阶段的终结作出一个确认…

现代潮流,本来平凡的叉烧亦以别树一格的长形窄身白色碟子奉上,这样做,10件叉烧的确尤显矜贵,橙红色略为羔身的酱汁丰富,单看外表已见垂涎!

相信用上最靓梅肉,半肥瘦肉地之叉烧,更见顶层肥肉色凙光亮至有点儿通透,似乎肥肉已溶化在瘦肉上,而非只是连在一起,也许是酱汁的功力,令视觉混肴。

每只叉烧皆挽着柔软的身躯,皮光肉滑,并无烧焦的疤痕,相由心生,入口果然肥美,肉质松软却又不失口感,略为咀嚼已经溶化;腌得入味,咸味中混合清甜的蜜糖香,不如有些店子弄得过甜如蜜饯,想到,有甚麽味道比亦甜亦咸滋味呢?也许这正是叉烧受欢迎之原因。

其貎不扬,金黄色胀卜卜的外表如一般盐焗鸡,口感郤似炸鸡,鸡皮身滑有光泽,鸡只细小,半只份量亦不多,大概有十二件,鸡肉焗至刚熟,有些鸡件肉质依照略带粉红,但无血水及凝结血块。

夹起松脱的鸡皮一看,竟然薄如纸,无皮下脂肪,入口酥脆如虾片,简直难以想像,以为自己在吃炸子鸡喎!一口鸡肉,隐隐散出盐之咸香,不可能不是盐焗鸡,调味得宜,肉质幼滑,就是鸡胸位亦不嚡口,只嫌鸡味不浓,来货的无奈!

如何能把盐焗之鸡弄至鸡皮香酥,也许就是大厨的秘方,实在风乾功力出衆,早前闻其特色已为心动,因此早已订菜,得偿所愿。

也许自从某厨师创意地发现日式芥末及嫩滑和牛是何其匹配後,此菜式已经广传至各中高档食肆,变成普遍却又令人难以抗拒,不得不选。选材澳洲顶级M9和牛,果然鲜嫩易嚼,辣辣芥末添辛之余亦提鲜,加上热辣煎热,香气更出,心里的喜悦全吃在咀里,简单而美味,普遍却又矜贵。

失败之作,沙蚝并不肥美,也许相比金蚝实在相差太远!配以半肥瘦猪肉同煑令其过度肥腻,且盖过蚝味,砂煲内之冬茹大只,尽吸了油汁,却又未觉尤其滋味,以砂煲煑保温,其实不是反会令沙蚝过熟咪!

卖相失分,难以想像售价$600的菜式如此粗糙,想到海鲜菜式出色的明阁,人家制作功夫及修饰多有心思,亦只售四五佰元一份!这里疑似只是炒埋一起的菜薳班块加黑松露酱!见班块颜色呈金黄,已经煎至香口,新鲜厚身,但可惜过於乾身及有点嚡口;班块上呈现不少黑点,乃丰富的黑松露酱,可惜未嗅到浓郁氛芳!又想到前些子在天龙轩商务午餐吃到的油泡班球,人家的嫩滑如银鳕鱼,真是失望,不合格的作品!

加了两道素菜,皆对办无惊喜。

因为童年阴影,学校饭堂牛河油腻至极,一向不爱点选,想不到,今次不只改观,更对它念念不忙,即时添吃。牛河炒至嫩滑滋味,鼓掓牛肉调味出色,惹味不过咸,青椒加香而不辛辣,茨汁份量不多刚好把材料收至不水汪汪,整碟炒河有光泽而不油腻,想不到的有镬而不油热,确有水准!

饭後送上牙签盒,盒套非常别致,有两款,同样是餐牌上的绅士淑女肖像。

环境舒适雅致但就挤迫了点,服务方面本来非常好,有挂外套安排,人手充足,侍应礼貌及认识菜单,可惜後来犯了两点错误,不知刻意还是无意!第一,在无客人要求下送上热茶,最後每位茶钱收费$28,有取巧之疑。以同样级别的三二公馆相比,人家公平,只喝暖水不收茶钱。第二,赈目混乱,是我的不慎,没有即时每项核实,我们多付了七个芝麻包($112)及一枝矿泉水($90)的费用,高级会所食肆不应出错!

无奈地,原来非常满意的一顿晚餐添上了污点!服务评分本为4.5分,不得不减至3分。
题外话/补充资料: 账单出错令客人失去信心,若需客人自行每项点算实非星级服务!

Had dim sum, plus some dishes, noodles and dessert for lunch.  The dim sum is up to standard.  Char siu bao had the right balance in terms of the dough, the filling (not too sweet or sticky but very tasty) and was not wet or soggy which sometimes happens through careless handling. Even better are the dishes from the kitchen.  From the BBQ pork, char siu, which has a bit of fat, not overly so, a bit of char and essentially lean, hence being the best there can be, individually presented on a long plate, to the slicked duck breast to the noodles.  Duck breast was very tasty and succulent, with a very thin layer of fat. The wonton noodles came in a small bowl with fresh shrimps for wontons and wonderfully thin pastry wrapping them.  If there was MSG it was not noticeable but very tasty broth as well as the entire contents.

Dessert was a bit of a let down.  The kamquat pastry was very salty inside and thick outside, the sago pudding was good in that it was very hot but not enough sago.

Coffee was very strong.

Service was fine.

Food : i was recommended by my friend several times for this restaurant and finally came last night. Since we just have 2 persons, we prefer tasting menus so that we can taste various dishes. Some courses like beef tongue, baked crab shell, crab meat beef thick soup, spicy BBQ pork, the presentation is nice and the taste is yumm. However, some courses are really needed to reviewed.  

first course is shrimp with fried rice biscuits. The sauce is appetizing and the cut of the shrimp is cut beautifully. However, the shrimp is large but tasteless (if there is no sauce on it and when i get blind and taste, i really dont know it is a shrimp)

second course is dice vegetables wrapped with cabbage. this is not acceptable in this high end restaurant to present like this - a piece of cabbage with 10-15 small dices of carrots, green bean. When serving to my table, i ask my friend if they will give some meat on it. The answer is of course NO. The waiter just gives me a hot sauce for dipping. 

Final course is wonton noodle. I doubt we spend $980 + 10% to get a 3 wontons and 2 spoons of noodles instead of others, like scallop fried rice.  

All in all,  i should say the food taste is above average. But i dont think the food is worth for what i paid. for $2200, i can try to other high end chinese restaurants

米芝莲一星点心: 都爹利会馆呢间都去过两次,两次都系食lunch. 呢间星星餐厅真系值得比,食物系有点偏向外国人口味, 但是也是很好吃的. 服务一流, 环境舒适, 会有第3次. 这里的虾饺有两种, 我点的是松茸虾饺, 皮是松茸, 但吃下去不太尝得出来. size不是大大的那种,此是bite size的,虾爽甜,不错!黑松露鲜菌石榴果两次去都有叫,因为好食罗!黑松露味度香,加上清新鲜菌,正!叉烧包两次去都有叫到. 呢度既皮不会痴牙,但size比一般的细好多,不作果腹之用,但是是好吃的. 鲍鱼鸡粒酥都推介,酥皮牛油味浓, 鲍鱼入味. 桂花红豆糕本人觉得麻麻. 另外也点了柑桔酥,好好食,好特吃,估唔到柑桔做甜品咁美味. 口感有点像凤梨酥但是是柑桔馅料.另外, 呢度既计设好artsy. 岩晒锺意美术又爱美食既朋友仔

桂花红豆糕本人觉得麻麻.

另外也点了柑桔酥,好好食,好特吃,估唔到柑桔做甜品咁美味.

口感有点像凤梨酥但是是柑桔馅料.

另外, 呢度既计设好artsy. 岩晒锺意美术又爱美食既朋友仔
