Red Ant overlooks the park between TW Plaza and Citywalk. It's one of very few decent views in Tsuen Wan, and Red Ant makes the most of it with large windows facing the park. Inside the decor is colorful without being too loud (it is loud though), the seating is comfortable, and the servers are nice, insofar as I can tell. The atmosphere is relaxed, which is uncommon.
The menu is divided into five sections: baked rice, pasta, noodle soup, "a taste of curry", and snacks. Most of the entrees (i.e. not soup or snacks) are priced around $60, and for an extra $20 you can get tea and either the soup of the day or a salad. If you get "a taste of curry", you can add on a scallion pancake for $10 or so. The beer selection consists of the usual suspects-- Carlsberg, Tsingtao, that sort of thing. I think they're all $30 (for a 340ml bottle). I got an entree last time without soup or salad and it was pretty filling, so I'd say the place is reasonably priced.
Last time I ordered a baked rice dish-- beef short ribs, plus some other kind of beef (I forget the type), in a black pepper sauce. I thought it was great. The meat was flavorful (I think it was grilled) and so was the sauce. The rice wasn't too 'sticky' so the sauce penetrated it pretty well. It was a very hearty meal. I will say that there was lots of beef fat in the dish, and that some of the meat was hard to eat without a knife (which they don't give you). But mostly it was great. 8/10.
